After which I posted a comment on the company's social media. Only after this did I receive a email that he would contact me regarding my concerns. I replied to him with a detailed list of job performance issues. To which he called me one time. The duration of the call was less than three minutes. He responded to my detailed email with a list of the DJs responses to my concerns. I replied to him that my concerns were not addressed in detail and attempted to call him multiple times. I never received an answer via phone or call back. His response was via email and stated that the matter was being handled in house. The fee was paid by the parent of the groom as a wedding gift to my husband and I, the parent had no knowledge of the ceremony/reception order as the access for the online planning tools was not provided to that parent and they had no knowledge of the ceremony order for toast, Bride/Dance etc. Also please note, that I never contacted this company for a refund of paid funds. I as the bride did not pay these funds. The payment of the DJ was a gift given by the grooms father (deposit & final payment). I am deeply greatly for the gift and discouraged by the service received and lack of resolution or apology from the company. I contacted the company to get clarification on why the order for my reception was not followed as it was very important to me to dance with my father following the first dance. I was never provided an explanation. This post has taken time out of my day and I refuse to let this company spoil the memory of my wedding and love and support of so many people on that day. Below is my detailed list of concerns. I never received clarification. 1) I completed and submitted the accessible and paid for access and service of online event planning forms. I also time/date stamped the completion of this form which I retained 18 days and 13 week days prior to the date of the scheduled event. The website suggested that as to avoid any room for error to complete these forms within seven days prior to the scheduled event. As such, I did so with 11 days excess to allow for the paid party to review their job details. I can not excuse her inability to do as such. As you will see which was apparently not reviewed or followed previously, I requested the "Father Daughter Dance" to proceed before the "Mother Song Dance" and directly follow the "First Dance". These instructions were not completed. The DJ failed to announce/play the "Father Daughter Dance" until after dinner and at a time completely at her own choosing. When asked by the groom, Chase Bourque why this was done in an incorrect manner she explained that she did not have access to the timely completed online access event planning forms. Please believe that I have allowance to complete my own employment tasks and not the tasks of others and as such it is not my responsibility to ensure that she has reviewed her job duties. 2) The DJ failed to timely announce the toast as detailed on the completed and submitted online planning forms, before dinner or at any relative point after. Individual, Courtney Weeks who also used your service stated to me that the DJ "acted completely different at my wedding" and that when the DJ eventually did choose to announce the toast "all groomsmen were absent of the facility in order to decorate the vehicle for departure".

He kept our friends out on the dance floor partying all night-- and everyone said it was the most fun wedding reception they'd ever been to! Everything was handled so well, and Marc's website and planning worksheets made the process so easy! We highly recommend Marc and his team-- honestly, he made our wedding the most fun day of our lives!

Vegan Halloween Wedding - Absolutely hit it out of the park!…read more My brother enlisted me to help him find a vegan caterer for his Wedding on Halloween and I'm so grateful I found Arthur's. I had reached out to a couple of caterers in the area prior with the only requirement being the food had to be 100% vegan (very important to my brother and his bride). Every other caterer I spoke to pushed back on this and tried to get us to consider at least vegetarian (I think it might have been because they were intimidated by planning that type of menu?) but not Arthur's. Patty was our coordinator and she was a delight to work with - responsive, accommodating and put our minds at ease. The food itself was phenomenal! During cocktail hour there was a harvest table with all kinds of dips, roasted veggies, and a vegan sausage. They also had passed h'orderves which included a falafel, polenta cake and spring rolls which were to die for! The staff kept the plates coming so guests were never without something to munch on while enjoying drinks. At dinner there were 3 stations: 1.) americana/BBQ (buffalo cauliflower, jackfruit sliders, mac and "cheese", collard greens) 2.) Wok/Stir fry (tofu, rice, veggies, spicy sauce) 3.) Italian (eggplant rolitini, creamy veggie pasta, rolls) And then there was a late night snack! mini black bean burgers to satisfy the late night dancing and drinking craving. Needless to say no one went hungry and while this was a fully vegan menu there were only about 7 actual vegans at the whole wedding, yet the entire guest list raved about the menu. I can't recommend Arthur's highly enough. Thank you to Patty and her staff for an amazing night and for making my brother's wedding so delicious and so special!

I did a quick search and turns out D&G was just around the corner from me. This is a family-owned local gem that specializes in baking & party supplies. When I walked in, the staff quickly greeted me and asked how they could help. I told them I was looking for multi-colored standard balloons, so they led me over to the balloon section and they had just what I needed. I purchased the pack for $3.99 and then they can add helium for $1.50 per balloon. I only needed 6 blown up, so I pulled out the ones that I wanted and then the associate went into the back to inflate them for me. The customer service was top notch and I'll definitely be back for my party needs in the future. And if you're a baker or pastry chef, this is place is your playground!

Great service and great products!…read more I had passed by Balloon World (BW is what the cool kids are calling it) many times as I'm a frequent Mills50 gal. I always wondered how such an oddly specific store like this could stay in business with all of the Party Cities and Targets of the world. Today I figured it out. I was at Party City, I'll admit, when I asked them if they had any gold or silver foul balloon letters (a'la 'Blurred Lines' video, but with no reference to Robin Thicke's ~ahem~). Shockingly, the megastore for parties didn't have them and they could only recommend ordering them online on amazon. Well, thankfully I remembered BW and INDEED- they DID have the letters! I went by the shop and Tiffany, the daughter in law of the owners, helped me with finding the balloons, taught me how to fill them, and taught me how to deflate them to reuse again and again (though this would seem to hurt their business, her honesty and genuine pleasure to help me save money made me certain I'd never buy another balloon from a national chain again!). Tiffany also showed me their portfolio and man, oh man, can they do some fun stuff with balloons! My only sadness was that they didn't sell helium tanks- they only rent them. I begrudgingly returned to Party City to buy one so that I could inflate the balloons at the venue. So much for trying to go fully local on my quest! :) Note: they also supply most of the clowns in CFL. I don't know why, but this makes them super legit in my eyes! Make sure to pet the store mascot, Zena the Yorkie, before you leave! She's a darling!

We found Venue 1902 through an event post on Facebook, and it was only the second venue we toured…read morein person -- we booked it within 24 hours. They had a great incentive at the time, and we immediately fell in love with the space. From the first tour, the team was amazing. Adriana showed us around and was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Aleshia assisted with finalizing our booking and was just as wonderful. We met with Adriana in person two more times before the wedding and also communicated frequently via email -- responses were always prompt and thorough, which made the planning process feel organized. Venue 1902 provides a curated list of recommended vendors (with catering to be selected from their approved options--plus with BYO alcohol option too) and hosts vendor events throughout the year (plus twice a year exclusively for couples who have already secured a date). These were a valuable part of planning -- we found our phenomenal vendors: caterer, hair/makeup artist, photographer, and photobooth company through these. The team was transparent about what their day-of coordination service includes versus what would require an additional decor placement fee, which we appreciated. They also offer a wide range of decorations, with a price list provided after booking. We were open about our budget throughout the entire process, and we never felt judged or pressured to spend more. A month before the wedding, they set up an online planning tool that helps organize the guest list/seating chart/general layouts and allows you to access/edit at home after, making it easy to visualize the wedding day setup. Small tip: If you plan to have hair and makeup services at the venue, coordinate with your artists early to determine what time you'll need venue access. You might be surprised at how long it takes to complete hair and makeup! Between our booking and our wedding, Venue 1902 implemented a day-of coordination partnership with the company Just Marry!. Initially, this change made me (bride) a bit nervous, but those concerns were put to rest. While our full experience with Just Marry! deserves its own separate review, I cannot say enough positive things about Emylie, who was absolutely incredible and played a huge role in ensuring our wedding day ran smoothly. Venue 1902 truly has thought of everything. It's an all-in-one venue with spacious bride and groom getting-ready suites (filled with natural lighting), lots of clean bathrooms, and beautiful outdoor ceremony (with the option to move indoors due to weather at no extra cost)/indoor+outdoor cocktail hour/indoor reception spaces. With so many unique spots for photos, the venue looks beautiful no matter the angle--and equally striking in color or black and white. There is ample parking plus valet service and elevator access to the reception area on wedding day (available for guests who NEED it). They even lock the bridal suite during the wedding to ensure personal belongings are secure. Brunch provided during wedding day was delicious and substantial. Thoughtful touches like mailing a letter and tote bag for the bride months before the wedding as well as giving us a bottle of champagne during the wedding rehearsal made us feel cared for. A little heads up for future brides planning to wear a long veil--mine got caught on the flooring of the outdoor ceremony aisle, which was totally fine; I just wasn't ready meheheheh! Overall, Venue 1902 is absolutely stunning, professionally run, and exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and well-thought-out wedding venue. (All wedding photos by Ashley Krug Photography )

I like that they have multiple choices for the ceremony location. We were outside in the courtyard/garden area. It was beautiful. Cocktail hour was done downstairs in one of the rooms and foyer. Loved the natural light that came in through the huge windows. It didn't feel cramped at all! The reception was upstairs and this is the only reason I knocked off 1 star. I didn't see where there was an elevator to get to the second level. This would obviously be an issue for anyone that has issues with stairs or someone that was wheelchair bound. The upstairs reception area was beautiful! It's a big open space and makes for a nice place to decorate. I will definitely keep this place in mind for any future events.
