Apparently, what I needed to get through my workweek was not another cup of coffee. I needed balloons.
I stopped into Glitzfully on a weekday and somehow turned a completely ordinary workday into a tiny celebration. Honestly? Highly recommend disrupting your regularly scheduled programming with something colorful and ridiculous every once in a while.
The two ladies working were SO sweet. One was up front helping customers while the other was in the back blowing up balloons and working on other orders, and both had such genuinely great attitudes. The woman helping me up front was especially helpful because I walked in knowing I wanted balloons but not exactly knowing what I wanted those balloons to DO. She helped me figure out what kind of arrangement would work best, and I really appreciated her input.
And then there's the shop itself.
COLOR. EVERYWHERE.
It's bright, vibrant, playful, and just unapologetically fun. Walking in felt like someone had taken my personality, put it through a party-supply machine, and turned it into a store. I was basically like, "Oh, So THIS is where I belong."
I ended up getting a balloon garland, a few additional balloons, and a sticker from the register because apparently I am very easily influenced by cute things.
The balloon garland has completely brightened up my home. Every time I look at it, I get a little hit of serotonin and remember that my home does not have to look like a waiting room just because I am an adult.
And last but not least...the Trinket Box
Right outside the door is the cutest little trinket exchange box, and I am obsessed.
I have been looking for a cute little trinket exchange box nearby, so discovering this one was basically the universe saying, "Yes, Danielle. This is your place now."
And it was FULL of adorable little trinkets! I could have stood there digging through it for way longer than was probably socially acceptable.
So congratulations, Glitzfully. You have successfully created a situation where I will absolutely be back, not only because I now want more balloons, but because I need to see what treasures appear in that trinket box.
But honestly, my favorite part was how fun the whole experience felt.
It was a little weekday adventure that shook me out of my normal work routine. I went from work, work, work to standing in a colorful balloon wonderland deciding which balloons best represented my vibe. And sometimes that's exactly the kind of nonsense we need.
It was also a really pleasant reminder to be whimsical.
Do something because it's cute.
Buy the silly sticker.
Put the colorful balloon garland in your house.
Exchange a tiny trinket with a stranger.
Interrupt the seriousness of adulthood whenever you get the opportunity.
10/10 would happily let balloons and tiny trinkets derail my workday again read more
