They sent me a bill for $592.00 after being paid by my insurance carrier. I called them and they said they'd look into it and then sent a second bill for the same amount...REALLY ! I had to spend another 30 minutes with my insurance carrier to get the check number, day they cashed it, claim reference number, etc. etc. etc. Then call back to WPR Associates. Can you say attempted rip-off. How many patients just send a check?

Since they wanted to get the same exact images with and without contrast, they first did without contrast. Once complete, they stop to then administer the contrast... this is where the problem was. They had me positioned on my stomach and each time they tried to insert the butterfly needle thingy, the vein would take only so much of the contrast and collapse (as they said) -- and it took the technician and a doctor 5 tries. By the time I got home, my hand and arm were a mess. I was annoyed and frightened with how swollen the back of my right hand was and how much blood and contrast were under my skin. I am bruised on the entire back of my hand excluding a half inch rim around the parameter. I hope it goes away before Christmas. For those reasons, I rated Hartsdale Imaging 3 stars vs. the 5 stars I did on the survey inside. It is upsetting to look like someone beat the hell out of me and now I have two sore hands. The radiologist helped my son to feel welcome and comfortable and permitted me to sit outside as he was scanned. If there is one area of improvement is to clearly indicate that the imaging center is located at the back of the building. We parked at the front of the building and was redirected to walk around outside to the back. If someone who was dropped off was in serious pain, this would have been an uncomfortable walk.

The original appt was for Saturday, but they called yesterday to offer today as an option since someone canceled. So he wasn't squeezed in. MRIs require no food for 3 hours. Why would they make you wait even longer after you arrive? Do not go here. They clearly don't understand good service is a requirement, especially when your bill is going to be super high. More than dinner folks!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would…read more I have been going to New Rochelle Radiology for my annual mammogram for the past three years, and these visits were always treated correctly as preventive services and fully covered by my insurance. This year, despite it being the exact same routine screening ordered by my doctor, they submitted incorrect procedure and diagnosis codes, resulting in an unexpected bill of $381.86. I spent significant time contacting both my insurance company and their billing department to get this resolved. My insurance indicated the issue was due to how the service was coded. However, New Rochelle Radiology's billing department refused to correct what appears to be a clear error. Instead of working toward a resolution, they escalated the situation by sending the bill to a collections agency while the dispute was still ongoing. This is completely unacceptable. Patients should not be penalized for provider billing mistakes, nor should they be subjected to collections over a disputed charge. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to fix their own error is deeply concerning. Avoid this place!
