IT IS A TOTAL SCAM! I was referred to mpls dentistry. I…read moremade an appointment for a cleaning, I was having difficulty getting an appointment at my normal dental office. At Mpls Dentistry they said they would take my insurance no problem. They were nice, but unorthodox, taking many pictures of me with their camera. Then they went ahead and did a full set of xrays, which I was not due for. Once every two years. Then as another reviewer has mentioned they told me about all the work I needed done, bad fillings, bad crowns, they even showed me pictures of someone else's very bad teeth, wanting me to think they were mine. IT WAS A TOTAL SCAM! In the end, they said I owed over $200 for the xrays which I assumed were covered by insurance. In the meantime I have been back to my regular dentist, explained it all to them and they said my teeth are fine. Finally, they reached out to Mpls Dentistry to get a copy of my xrays and all photos of my mouth, and as of not have not received anything.

Let me say that again...THE. BEST. My boyfriend just picked this place for a dental emergency because we live right across the street, but he had such a good experience (she was very transparent about the costs right off the bat and educated him on his different options) that I was convinced to make sure my insurance was accepted (Delta Dental is) and book an appointment. (He also wears the free shirt that they gave him ALL THE TIME. In his defense, it's super soft.) First off, the office manager who scheduled my appointment was super friendly on the phone. Then I walk in after receiving a text reminder of my appointment to the CUTEST office I have ever seen. I'm talking modern, cosy waiting area, great music, and just a clean & fresh but inviting (not doctor's office sterile) vibe. They even had complimentary reusable fabric face masks to take home that Dr. Yang's mom made to wear in the waiting room if you don't have your own. After I filled out my new patient information all on a tablet instead of paper (hello, environmentally friendly) I was brought into the exam room where I got to tell Alexa what music I wanted to listen to! SO SIMPLE AND SO SMART, I love how far they go to make you comfortable. (P.S. She asks wonderful questions on her new patient form like, "have you ever had bad dental experience?" and things like that to gauge your mindset - seriously, so considerate.) For the new patient exam, x-rays, oral cancer screening, and cleaning (which she does all herself right now to really get to know her patients as she's building her practice), she was super gentle, friendly, complimented me on things she could tell I was doing well, answered my questions completely, and even showed me pictures of my ugly stain spots/problem areas that I should be focusing on brushing more to prevent cavities. (Pictures from her nifty high tech intra-oral camera which no one has ever done for me before!) It was super cool, but also a little gross to see my mouth that up close. She also used a fancy tool called a cavitron which uses high frequency sound waves to give your teeth an extra deep clean. She said right away that we didn't have to use it if the sound or vibration bothered me, but I could hardly even feel it and now my teeth feel squeaky clean. The appointment wrapped up with her booking my next cleaning appointment in the exam room and then she sent me on my way with an adorable goody bag. Finally, it was a super easy payment & checkout at the front desk (all the normal exam stuff was covered, I just paid for the $51 optional fluoride treatment out-of-pocket, because #treatyourself). I legit would be Dr. Yang's friend - she's just an enjoyable human being to chat with. Anywhoo...even if you're not actively looking for a dentist, make an appointment with Dr. Yang. Seriously, CALL NOW to get in before everyone discovers this hidden gem.

Fabulous service…read more I only had an issue one time when they had a fill in dental assistant helper from a contract agency or someplace & either she didn't inject/swab numbing agent into the right place, I was in severe pain during a dental procedure & the Dentist herself had to inject the numbing agent herself in the correct spot where it should have been. I haven't seen that helper since thank goodness lol... she was creepy & wasn't helpful at all. This place is a block away from my condo in the North Loop.

I liked my previous dental office and only switched because there was a convenience gap I wanted to close, but what I've noticed is how thorough and professional these cleanings are. Nice space, big facility. My dentist has been Dr. Hannon and my hygienist has been Sarah, both awesome. They take Delta Dental, and they have two dedicated parking spaces in the lot that the Prince mural looks down on. Recommended!

On Friday, I had a horrible tooth ache and feared they would not be able to squeeze me in on such short notice, but they did. The only thing that almost prevented me from trying this Dentist out was the fact that they do not offer nitrous-oxide. (laughing gas) But I quickly learned that if the Dentist is good at what he/she does, no nitrous is needed for comfort. I probably couldn't be more comfortable even with Nitrous. I've been to a lot of Dentists throughout my life but I will never go to any other Dentist as long as he still practices and I still live in Minnesota!
