She said if I continued having pain to return in a couple of months. It was clear that same day that the problem was not resolved. I didn't want to wait a couple months so I found a different dentist. He made 4 adjustments over the period of a year, and I continued to have pain. Finally, he said he needed to remove the crown to see what was going on. It turned out that Dr. Franco had left decay under the crown. The tooth was very irritated so he put a temporary on with the hope it would quiet down. It did not. Ultimately, he had to pull it. I wrote to Dr Franco and asked her to return the money that I had paid for the crown, and to pay to replace the tooth. She returned the money for the crown, but she did not pay to replace the tooth. The letter she sent with the refund said "as a courtesy" she was refunding the money. No apology, no acknowledgment of the decay she left under the crown, and no acknowledgment that I lost the tooth.

Long story short, money-hungry, impersonable, and immature…read more Was recommended Moldrem by my insurance provider because they testified to my insurance that they could accommodate my allergies. Scheduled an initial intake at the Lakeville location and things went smoothly. Met with Dr. Molldrem and he was keen on everyone getting 'paid what they were owed' in the context of my insurance lowballing him. Mind you, the staff drive luxury SUVs and they have TWO locations. Several MONTHS later I have my teeth cleaning and not only could they not accommodate my allergies, they never had the intent to. Furthermore, they refused to coordinate care between me and my Medical Doctor to figure out appropriate treatment based on my Dr.'s medical orders. I asked politely to receive updates within the week regarding sussing out my treatment plan and they told me to get lost. I asked for recommendations on who else to go to if they couldn't get the job done and they told me to check with my insurance (HAH!). So here I am without any of the treatments they had agreed to help me work through. I called to file a complaint and the Eden Prairie location told me that this all had 'nothing to do with their professionalism' and that 'if I was unhappy with my care I could always find someone else'. I would say that treating me like a burden because I'm not filthy rich is a professionalism issue but whatever. Don't go here unless you love feeling awful.

My experience was an expensive downward slope from the start…read more I went here for 4 years. At first it seemed procedural but it was not long until they started offering expensive services like mouth guards for night botox to stop teeth grinding. It felt like scare sales tactics every time i went in. I eventually got two new crowns after some visits and genuinely thinking they were necessary. Both of them popped out in less than a year. I called the office to see what they could do. They said I would have to pay for it all over again and laughed at me telling me there is no warranty on crowns. This was after the office people talked to Dr. Molldrem and called me back. I already got one redone and have to do the other soon. I have to pay for the crowns twice! UPDATE because I almost forgot about the random $1,000 bill i got after i thought I was all paid up because, for (1) they messed up the insurance calculation on the crowns and for (2) they couldn't figure my insurance out for the teeth cleaning (which I had) that could have been resolved had THEY not waited so long.

He and his team are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable in the field. Dr. Bender recommended having a cavity filling / replacement done of my old silver fillings. I've had the silver fillings since I was a kid and I was hesitant on getting work done especially with a new dentist. Upon my request, Dr. Bender took the time to explain everything that he recommended over email and the reasoning for his recommendations. It made sense so I went for my replacement appointment. As a child, I've had some aggressive dentists - but this time, I barely felt the needle for the numbing injection. The filling was seamless and I even got to watch Netflix during the appointment! The appointment was done in about 50 mins for one filling. It was very quick and it turns out I was nervous for no reason at all. :) Not to mention, the new white filling looks great. The office definitely lives up to the "Modern" name and I noticed they are currently working on renovating other parts of the office space. Everything was clean and well kept. I came in after a long time of no insurance and a lot of work that needed to be done. Always had difficult teeth (constant cavities no matter what I do, crooked, chipped, missing some from no insurance when I just needed to take them out to make it affordable.) They worked up a whole timeline for me, being super open and ready to explain the start to finish of everything. I'm so relieved. They prioritize health and focus in order of what needs to be done in a sensible order. Thanks to that, I trust them a lot! I had my first wave of repairs done and wow - two hours of work and zero pain? Even the numbing injection was painless. They told me to be open if I felt anything when they started and I slightly did and they thanked me for saying something and numbed me up more. Nothing after. I'm usually nervous but after that I won't be. Never thought in my life I'd be excited to go get work done. I trust them and I am so appreciative of them! Awesome practice.
