Only after the services were completed and I had left did they call to tell me I was responsible for the full bill of more than $500. Had I been informed beforehand, I would not have proceeded. I contacted the office hoping for a reasonable resolution, but they offered no adjustment or solution. My advice: **Do not assume they have verified your insurance just because you provided your card. I would suggest booking appointments out before your next appointment because they typically have availability for my next appointment every 7 months instead of 6. The claim they sent to the insurance company was for $1,500 (Where did the other $250 go?). Once the insurance paperwork was competed, the scaling procedures were not covered so they paid out only $114 on the bill. Do not have any work done by these people unless you get a full estimate of the cost and feedback from your insurance company on the benefits that are covered!!!!!!!! He knew id talked about a previous experience when I was young around fear of root canals and not having enough numbing, so he ensured to put even extra- it was so well thought out. He was a talented, trustworthy and honest dentist and human being. I wish him the best in his retirement; He is TRULY missed. At my last visit to Chaska Dental a few months ago, my appointment felt very different. I was treated more like a number and less like a loyal, longtime patient of 20 years. In addition, the dentist wanted to take 24 X-RAYS of my mouth. How is that even possible?! Why is that needed?! My teeth and gums are in very good health. Did the dentist even think about my financial bottom line or was it all about him trying to increase his revenues? Sure makes a person wonder. Will my next dental visit be back at Chaska Dental?
