Looking for an after-lunch pick-me-up, I saw this coffee shop as a 15 min drive away from where we were so we went for it. Going through some narrow roads and a bit of an uphill, we were rewarded with cooler temperatures within a nice woodsy shaded area. Pretty sure along the road and nearby is a bunch of different coffee farms and tours. The coffee cart/van and the set up was all visually pleasing in all its simplicity. Kind and friendly workers made the experience all the more wonderful. Among the six of us, we ordered 3 Salty Earl(Guessing this is new) and a Brown butter miso Latte. Both were excellent and even though there is more menu to try, I feel like we'd fall back upon the drinks we really enjoyed from this visit. We enjoyed these drinks so much, a request was made to return on our last day but once we realized this would've been a 50 min detour(one way) just for coffee , we postponed this until the next time we're on the island. read more

Attention fellow coffee snobs! This place is legit! A must-visit if you're in the area. Good thing it's across an ocean, otherwise we would be here every morning! The coffee is just so flavorful! It is not burnt tasting, but has a lot of fragrant notes. The oat milk latte was extremely smooth and delicious. No sugar or syrups needed! DH also got a latte, because they didn't have cappuccinos. He said, "It was super smooth. It was really good. It wasn't as intense as the coffee from their beans. It was quite possibly the best latte I've ever had." We splurged for a 7 ounce small bag of Kona SL34 beans for $38 to take home. Believe us, it was well worth it! There is a small seating area under an awning. Most folks seemed to be taking their coffee to go. Also, there's a really cute shop right next to it, full of high quality home decorations, kitchen items, souvenirs, and snacks. I stopped by here earlier today for my morning coffee. Whenever I go on vacation I try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning and on this day I ended up heading over to White Nene Coffee Roasters. This shop is a trailer in Holualoa and serves as a front for their micro roastery to serve their own coffee. On the morning I was there, two people were working and the place was busy. When we arrived around 8:15 there was a longish line and no parking right next to the shop. Thankfully the line moved pretty quickly. After looking over the menu I was stuck between a few interesting options and after asking for a recommendation, I was pointed toward the Black Sesame Miso Latte. The menu described it as espresso, brown butter miso syrup, milk, and black sesame cold foam. Within a reasonable amount of time I had my drink and was on my way. This latte was unlike anything I have had before. The brown butter miso syrup gave it a really complex flavor while the black sesame added a nutty, slightly savory depth. The coffee itself was strong and bold and still came through despite the other flavors. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I really enjoyed how unique and complex this drink was and would be interested in trying their shaken trinity latte and Thai latte as well. read more

A MUST visit! It's a little ways up the hill from Kona but it's worth it. The drive alone gives you nice views and there are a few shops nearby too. They have parking and seating, an easy place to work for a few hours. The coffee and drinks were DELICIOUS! Their flavored lattes balanced sweetness with coffee flavor. I'm so glad we gave White Nene Coffee a try on the last day of our stay in Hawai'i. I guess White Nene Coffee Roasters is usually a single man show. At the time that we went, the employee who helped us out was very knowledgeable about coffee! He was also really friendly and nice! We had a great time chatting with him about our hometown. White Nene's menu is small, but they got unique and great syrups. They have a few seats in front of the shop for you to enjoy your drink and breakfast. My partner ordered a Haupia Chai topped with coconut cream while I got a Coconut Cold Brew with Miso Butter syrup (they usually mix this with vanilla syrup, but I really wanted to give their Miso Butter syrup a go). The Coconut Cold Brew was just what I needed today. A little creamy, but strong and slightly sweet, refreshing drink. There's a subtle savory note thanks to the Miso Butter. Although I usually prefer lattes, I have to say that this cold brew is one of my top favorite drinks I got during my stay here. My partner's Haupia Chai was super delicious as well. This coffee shop/truck is so cute! My friend and I stumbled upon this and we loved the setting and the coffee & food. I ordered a caramel miso iced latte which was surprisingly delicious! Somehow caramel and miso work nicely together and I thoroughly enjoyed my drink. A few others also ordered the same drink so I feel like it must be a popular flavor! I also ordered a rosemary biscuit which was very good - strong rosemary flavor with cheddar cheese. Service was good though there was only one worker there, so we waited a little longer than expected, but we were not in a rush and there's a small shop you can browse while you wait. Just off to the side there were a few small tables set up with flowers. My friend and I sat to enjoy our treats and enjoyed a relaxing morning. White Nene Coffee is an absolute must-visit! We visited the Holualoa Coffee Trailer location, but they also have a spot at the Keauhou Farmer's Market. The coffee trailer location is tucked right next to two small shops that are great to browse in before or after your coffee stop! We decided to try their Iced Latte and Cold Brew with fresh coconut whipped cream. Both drinks were exceptional! The iced latte was perfectly balanced--a refreshing treat on a warm summer day. The Cold Brew with fresh coconut whipped cream was super tasty (would definitely recommend trying this!). I believe it was on a "Specialty Drink"-type menu, and I can't recall if there was an exact name for this drink. It was a standout for me! I love coconut and incorporating this flavor through the whipped cream paired nicely with the cold brew. It's the perfect drink for a warm day! Mark was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations. The outdoor setup has a charming vibe, perfect for sitting down to enjoy your drink or grabbing something to go. After I left, I saw on their website that they have latte art classes, something I would definitely love to try if I return! read more

Loved everything about this cute little coffee truck. The coffee itself was amazing and we added some Miso caramel to it which was delicious - but they were quite heavy handed with the syrup which made it overwhelmingly sweet (a theme I've seen at all coffee shops here) but it was still good quality coffee. I went to go get a coffee this morning and I even complimented the baristas pins. Then when I ordered my coffee he told me that he couldn't take my cash if I didn't have exact change, I told him I don't need change, and he could just keep the remains $2.60 as a tip. He then proceeded to raise his voice at me telling me how he didn't even have $1s to tip himself out and refusing to take my payment for the order. Like um okay so your drawer is going to be over $2 is that really such a tragedy that you have to yell at, and then lose a customer? He was so rude and talked to me like I was a literal idiot to the point where I didn't even want anything any more and left. Literal terrible customer service, I've been a barista for 3 years in an LA driver through, and I have never or would never have the audacity to treat a customer like that. 0/10 would not recommend read more
