I can't say enough about the product and the customer service. This is a five star rating because the service is impeccable along with 100% Kona coffee. I ordered 4 pounds of coffee last week and the delivery to my house was Under 72 hours from the Big Island to the Pacific Northwest. When we received our shipment one of the 16 ounce bags was split open. When my wife pulled it out of the shipping box over a third of the coffee beans fell onto our deck outside and most of it was lost. I had sent an email after realizing what had happened to Cherry Hill. Not really sure if it was going to be taken care of since the delivery was already made. I offered to send the rest of the beans and the damaged bag back in return for a new 16 oz bag. So today after four days and not hearing anything back from my email. I figured my email got lost in their busy ordering system. But today there was a shipment left on my doorstep with a new undamaged, 16 ounce bag of 100% Kona coffee from Cherry Hill. Kona Coffee Outlet is a little hole-in-the-wall next to The Fish Hopper. The coffee sold here is grown at Cherry Hill Estate in Captain Cook and is 100% Kona coffee that has won a number of awards throughout the years. The selection is small, but it is because the store is dedicated primarily to Cherry Hill Estate's products. Samples are available at the entrance. Fresh brewed coffee by the cup is available for to-go. Otherwise, the estate's products are bags of coffee in different sizes, K-cups, and macadamia nuts. Flavored coffee is not available in K-cup form though. The rainbow roast, which is a blend of the medium and dark roasts, is the best seller. If you like flavored coffee or a refreshing coffee drink, I recommend the chocolate haupia flavored coffee, which is also my favorite product from here. It tastes good when hot, but it is even better when cold. Kona coffee is not cheap, but it is quality stuff. The prices are pretty reasonable here, and there is a 5% kama'aina discount for residents. Local coffee stop right next to our dinner spot. Grabbed a couple coffee bags for a souvenir for Pops and also ground semisweet & white chocolate coffee beans. The coffee is delicious and 100% Kona coffee, the beans are also yummy but you can't eat more than 2 unless you want your heart racking (make sure you're running errands if you pop more than 2 lol). The young lady that helped my sister and I was super gracious with her time and extremely helpful in answering all our coffee questions. I believe her name was Kamma (her name was longer which translated to Volcanic fire, something super cool) and she wasn't pushy or insistent on making us purchase anything but we felt comfortable and we decided to indulge a bit while we waiting to be seated for dinner. She let us know that they also shop their coffee so if you run out, just give them a ring or visit their website and they'll shop over delicious Kona coffee! Kona Coffee Outlet was very close to my hotel and also carried a large selection of their own brand of award-winning Kona coffees, so that was one of my first stops when I landed on the Big Island. When I got there, I discovered they are not a sit-down coffee house like I had assumed. They are a retail store (an "outlet") selling coffee beans, but they have several hot pots of different types of brewed coffee for free sampling. Also, they can sell you a full cup of any of the samples to take with you. The lady working there was really informative and told me all kinds of things about coffee that I never knew. After sampling several of the coffees, I decided to buy a full cup of the "Peaberry" coffee. She said that is their most expensive type. . .so I guess I must have great taste, haha. Peaberry was excellent and SO smooth! read more

As a coffee lover, I HAD to find some Kona coffee in Kona. This place was a little "hole in the wall" but they had 100% Kona coffee beans or ground coffee. It's quite expensive at about $60/pound but it's pure Kona. I started to notice most "Kona coffee" offered throughout my trip to Oahu & the big island only contained 10% Kona coffee beans...ten percent! I made an effort to find real Kona & this was the place to go. You could sample different coffees like a wine tasting & the woman that worked there was lovely. read more

This is a small specialty coffee shop. 100% Kona coffee is EVERYWHERE on the island, so it can be hard for businesses to be competitive. The coffee sold here has won awards though, so they're pretty locked in the game. Joe was working there when I came, and he's a very nice, helpful guy who really loves coffee. The coffee here is not cheap, but it's not terribly expensive either. I'm not much of a coffee connoisseur, but it seems like good quality, smooth coffee. I saw an ad for the Kona Coffee Outlet in a tourist brochure. I was expecting a decent sized store with lots of selection. What I found was a very small store with a limited selection. Perhaps selection is limited because there are not that many niche growers that process their own coffee. Given the not so cheap prices and limited selection, most people could probably meet their needs to buy kona coffee for taking home from the ABC stores located all over. read more

I was excited to check out this coffee outlet. There was a decent selection and it was somewhere to browse while we waited to get into a nearby restaurant. I had a bad feeling about the sales person when he started talking about all of the awards(they were displayed everywhere) and the sale on that day only. I bought coffee there even though the price was higher than I wanted to pay. I am NOT impressed with the quality or flavour of the coffee(even the peaberry was not great). I am a HUGE coffee lover and usually go with rich, bold, organic coffees, but this one is substandard to the ones I have tasted. On top of it all, I discovered, the day after, that the so-called 'sale' price is the regular price available all the time on their website. I went back a couple days later, received the same speech on awards and sale on coffee. I told him I wouldn't buy anything there with those kinds of sales tactics. Lying to the public doesn't work with me. It also makes me wonder what else he's lying about. I don't usually write reviews, but this company felt underhanded in their marketing 'techniques'. When you visit a beautiful place like Hawaii, there are many tourist traps, but this is one that I caught in the act. I hope this review helps someone not fall in it like I did. read more
