I accidentally booked this hotel while trying to reserve a stay in New Mexico, and within 5 minutes of making the reservation, I called to cancel. I was told directly by a staff member that the cancellation would be processed and that any fees would be waived. Fast forward a week later...no refund. After following up, I was met with zero accountability. The owner, Lisa, showed no willingness to resolve the situation, despite the fact that I never stayed at the property and contacted them immediately after booking. This isn't about policy it's about basic customer service and integrity. When a business tells a customer something will be handled, they should stand by it. Instead, I'm now out $130 for a stay that never happened. If something goes wrong with your booking, don't expect understanding or flexibility here. That alone should be enough to make you think twice.

Breakfast was not included with our room. They offer a "2+2+2" breakfast for five dollars per person at the on-site restaurant. Two eggs your choice, two meat (sausage or bacon) 2 toast or pancakes along with either coffee, juice or soda. That's a good breakfast for five dollars. Table service with very friendly and capable waitstaff. (We left a tip for the table service) Our King room was down a hall off the back of the lobby. Kind of felt like I was being hidden away. Elevators, ice machine, guest laundry and recycling bins are off this hall. Another corridor off this hallway connects the hotel to the on site restaurant, event rooms, public restrooms, gym and pool. So it's conveniently located to hotel amenities, all of which are open 24hrs, except for the restaurant which closed at midnight. The bed was comfortable with 4 pillows. Soft sheets. Heat worked well in October and was quiet. Work desk, flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, coffee service, ice bucket and cups. Room has plenty of plugs and lights. A closet in the entryway has and iron & board and small dresser. A bench seat and an ottomen doubled at luggage racks. There is also a comfortable chair and side table that I very much appreciate. Bathroom has multi-use products and two sets of nice towels. Not one hook or shelf in there for personal items. The shower stall has sliding glass doors. This one constantly rolled open. With a bit of finesse I was able to convince it to stay in an almost closed position. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Shower drained well, toilet worked as it should. Plenty of TP and tissues. Check-in was professional. Check out was also professional and a bit more friendly. An SUV was parked under the portico during the whole of our visit preventing guest loading/unloading out of the weather. Parking in their lot is complimentary.

They don't provide a free breakfast, but they have a restaurant in the same building Old Chicago our dinner there was amazing but the breakfast was not as good. We paid five dollars a piece for breakfast vouchers, which included two eggs, two meats, two pancakes and a drink. When we went down there it was a buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes and a drink. I just ate the pancakes not a fan of scrambled eggs and sausage. We would definitely stay here again.

This location is famous for hosting rallies and group events because they have hundreds of RV sites. When we stayed at the end of August, there weren't very many other RV's at the campground, so we had good separation from our neighbors. The sites are gravel, with not grass, but they have a dog park nearby with lots of healthy grass for the pups. The area we stayed in has two sites inside each fenced area with full hookups. We chose to park parallel to the fence rather than back in so we could have more room. We have a 40 foot motorhome and the back in configuration makes our front end hang out into the roadway quite far. The utilities were easy to access with our parking sideways, but could be far back for sewer if we had back in. There were not issues with the utilities while we were there. The over the air TV channels were not very good, and we had to use our own internet hot spot to stream some TV in the evening. There was a bathhouse near the center of the RV parking, but we didn't use it. They had a book exchange inside of an old newspaper dispenser that I chose a book out of. While staying, we went over the horse races that were happening over the weekend we were there. It was pretty cheap to get in and we enjoyed placing a few bets and watching the ponies run. You must check in with the elderly couple that manages the park before choosing your site. They take cash or check only. I paid cash to make things easy. The price was not too bad compared to other RV parks now days. We would surely be back when in the area.

The western look continues on the door mat, the ceiling beams in the cafe room, and our room, and yes, the lobby. 3. The parking is very close to our room. 4. Hubby picked this location, because it's closer to the church, and we're doing on a Jubilee 2025 Pilgrimage. 5. The rooms were quiet. This is Wyoming, and it's spring, and it feels like we're the only ones-here-quiet. 6. I also love the fact, I have a place to put my carry-on bag, plenty of space on the counter top for my waterpik, etc. for two people. 7. Fast computer connection. 8. Instead of bottled water & snacks, we got some bonus points! Negative: 1. Our bed light by the window, isn't working! 2. We can't get EWTN station on TV. (That's OK, I used my phone). 3. The entrance door, to the building, doesn't lock. It says to use key to get in, but it doesn't. 4. The faucets are hard to turn on/off, it's the other way around, unlike other hotels. 5. My pillows were over-stuffed & hard. 6. I feel guilty throwing away an extra hard boiled egg, with the price of eggs these days . . . but they should have them packaged single serving, for those who don't feel 'forced' in eating something they can't. Because it's cold, the map didn't indicate, we can walk inside the building to have breakfast (lobby, downstairs), instead we have to drive our car around. Since today is Sunday, we're on a pilgrimage, we're dressed in church attire, and having hot flashes, staying longer in a cafe room that's making me even hotter and being 'forced' to eat something that I didn't feel comfortable eating (selections were not my type of food, I was craving for some waffles not processed foods). They did have fresh fruits, and if I was a bit more comfortable in that room, I probably managed to have some to eat later in the car, but I just got up and left, leaving my husband to eat and finished his meal, while I sat in the comfort of my car, and waited for like 10 minutes. So, when the staff asked how was my breakfast, I lied, when I say: Fine, thank you! 7. There's some steps down, from the car to our room hallway. There's no elevator. I'm so grateful, I have an old man in his mid 70's, who is still as 'strong as a bull'. When you're a senior, you shouldn't be doing any of that, but here we are, and it's Lent and we're putting them down, honestly on YELP! 8. I was going to wait hubby in the lobby, so I tried sitting on one of the 'cozy & comfortable' leather chairs, in one of my favorite colors, and it's like it's meant for bigger & taller cowboys, and as a 5'2" person, it was like lying down in bed! LOL I got right up, and decided to walk to my car. So, you could say: being hot & bothered, not having the right food, and trying to sit down, didn't help with my aggravation! TIP: Make sure you're curtains are completely closed, so people across the pool or hallway, can't seen you butt-naked walking around in your room. What we could have done and didn't thought about was to swim in the pool, which was right outside our room! (We didn't have our swimming suits, anyway, it's very cold still in early spring, it's not something we would usually do, when we've been on the road 6 hours.

However, having said that, I wouldn't book a longer term stay at this location. The room was fine, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was fine with enough hot water and good drain. Could it use an upgrade? Sure. But for a good night's sleep everything was adequate. I didn't have breakfast there, but many guests seemed to be enjoying what was offered which appeared to be standard continental fare (I went to Coal Train Coffee Depot for breakfast which I highly recommend in another review). There is a lot of noise pollution. You can hear the cars traveling the interstate from your room, any door slamming in the hall is extremely loud, and the walls are thin enough that I could hear the guests next door coughing. So evaluate your needs and priorities and decide if this location meets your needs. I would not hesitate to stay overnight hear again.

I have been coming to golf at this course for many years. I have seen improvements throughout the years of the course itself. My disappointment lies mainly in the treatment of stuff. This season I see a few new faces, I have noticed a lady that has a bit of age on the others (no insult meant) as well as a couple young gentlemen that tend to work hard as well as carry a professional attitude daily. However lately I have not seen some of the faces that I came to like speaking with, the turnover seems to be quite a bit. I was very disappointed in over hearing as well as noticing the treatment of said individuals the lady I speak of seems to be the main one running non stop while a majority of the time you will see 3 to 4 individuals standing at the front counter while she is outside trying to ensure we have what we require to enjoy our time on the course/range. At times you will see a couple of the young guys come help for a few moments. I did enjoy interacting with her when she would be at the front counter checking us in for our tee times. With that being said I no longer see her up there. For the young gentleman it is nice to see that the youth still has a few gentlemen like individuals.
