I've been to other fitness classes and "functional fitness" gyms, and let me tell you... this one hits different. The coaches are somehow equal parts drill sergeant, hype squad, and therapist. They know your name, your limits, and exactly when you're about to fake tie your shoe to skip burpees. (Nice try, though.) And here's the kicker, they actually know what they're talking about. Just because someone has a cert doesn't mean they should be coaching. These coaches? They coach. The vibe? Immaculate. The workouts? Brutal... in that "why am I smiling after nearly passing out?" kind of way. And the community? It's like the cool kids' table if the cool kids welcomed everyone and high-fived you just for showing up. Even if you've been here before or thought, "I've done this type of workout," come again. Seriously. You've probably never experienced it like this. F45 Klein has that magic mix of accountability, fun, and sweat-soaked camaraderie that somehow makes you want to keep coming back. She made sure the new folks knew the moves beforehand and answered all questions we had. She greeted everyone who came to her class. So the basics - this place is located on the 2nd floor of the building that is shared so you will have to look up to see it. You cannot miss it though. Take the stairs or the elevator if you prefer. They did have to let me in when I arrived 30 mins before class and I can see why. This is an all female studio and being that they were by themselves on the 2nd floor, safety precautions are taken. Greatly appreciate that ladies! The doors are kept locked once classes start so again, for our safety even though this area is a very nice area. The studio is beautiful, nice wood barre floors and they have showers and all the amenities for you like deodorant, feminine products, pink towels! So if you need to shower and change, go right ahead! Class was amazing. I feel that I was able to keep up and if I struggled, Brenda said it was okay to modify. This class is a low impact class, BUT you will feel it the next day. I felt the burn in my legs the next day from all the pulses. One thing that I really enjoyed was that we were able to use natural sunlight in the studio. You get a nice view of the outside and being on the 2nd floor, we had nice views of the tree tops in the Champions Forest/Spring Cypress area. Loving that we have a barre studio in Spring!

I was so glad the gym didn't close down & allowed its members to come back (w/ some restrictions). I think back to the ladies that joined me during that time - so many of us needed the gym to feel normal when the world was out of control. Perhaps that is why I stayed as long as I have... I was never much of a gym rat and I wasn't so sure about this place at first - is it going to be just another gym? But it slowly grew on me and became my daily norm. Not going to lie, I LOATHE working out! I tell many people the same! That said, I DO enjoy the small group setting, the 30 minutes HIIT workouts & all of the women that I have had the pleasure of crossing paths with over the years. I didn't meet my best friend/soulmate or anything like that...but I did find a group of women similar to myself...looking for an opportunity improve health, stay active & fit and enjoy a few laughs & snorts along the way!
