I previously had a chemical perm from another stylist, but wanted to have my natural straight hair since I had my wedding coming up. I booked an appointment with Jennifer in June and requested for my favorite two block haircut with some layers. You start off the service with getting your hair washed and then head over to the chair where Jennifer does her assessment of the next steps. Jennifer was really sweet and personable during the haircut and she also gave honest feedback on what worked for my face. The end result exceeded my expectations since the layers were done so well. Also a big bonus of this salon is the value for the services. A lot of salons and barbershops nowadays charge exorbitant prices that it's difficult to find somewhere affordable and high quality. Hyun hair had great prices that were very fair compared to other places. I loved my experience so much that I had Jennifer also do some layers for my wife. I let my sister (try) to give me a layered haircut before an important event (rookie mistake ) and…read moreshe messed up pretty bad so I was panicking quite a bit. thankfully, the members at idol hair salon let me come in right when they opened the next day and were able to cut my hair at the soonest available time. the vibe in there is really nice! the wait time and haircut was relatively short. the wash, dry, and styling only took about an hour for my long/medium hair. there was a language barrier, but it wasn't an issue. They always make sure to ask how much they can cut BEFORE they cut it, which I'm super grateful for. Robyn cut my hair and he was awesome. He was able to fix the short and choppy layers my sister gave me without cutting too much of the length off :) the layers turned out beautiful and I have no doubt that they'll grow out just as nicely. he styled it straight and sleek in the store, but just wanted to show how nice it looks curled as well!

Hanh is the best!…read more Made an appointment after learning that she's specialized in butterfly haircuts and wow she did not disappoint. She was very thorough during the consultation to make sure I understand what she is about to do and that I also get what I came in for. My original hair was highlighted (super bleached/ashy) and had a bad layered cut (turns out I had a mullet I wasn't aware of lol). I wanted to return to my natural color and also get a cut to even out my layers. Within two hours, Hanh achieved the color and cut seamlessly through proper and detailed steps to repair my damaged hair. My experience with her was fantastic. She is so bubbly and fun to talk to and she is an expert in her field. I have never learned so much about hair ever in my life! Even for styling, she gave so many tips. Hanh, you should consider teaching if you ever plan to! Overall, I am a happy customer that left with beautiful voluminous hair. Will be back for a maintenance cut and a fun girly chat!
