Have gotten some really good plants at White Forest. I like the huge selection of plants there.

It's a bit of a drive to White Forest Nursery, but it is ALWAYS worth it! We needed a few Mexican Sage plants for the front planter. We thought about the big box store. The advantage of White Forest is you get to wander around the grounds, and there are a lot of grounds. Everything is so healthy looking. One caretaker (I don't know, do you call them gardeners?) was friendly and helpful. He got us a cart and showed us what we were looking for. We were thinking of just getting one gallon plants, but lucky for us, they had the 5 gallon size on sale. There are always specials, and if you look you can find some real bargains. They have a wide seed selection. There are decorative planters, You can get everything from small items to full grown trees. And, did I mention the sheer fun of wandering the grounds? read more

It was very hot out, but I enjoyed the grounds. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One of there employees helped get my water plants for me, and then we walked to a different area, a butterfly hitched a ride! I'd go back again. They have gorgeous arrangements as well that can get pricy, but the rest is reasonably priced. This place is huge. The first time I came here, I wandered for over an hour. Looks like this place is on a two acre lot. Parts of it are very pretty. There are winding paths and permanent fixtures. The people that work here a very attentive and friendly. They also know their inventory. This place is great if you are looking to do an outdoor garden. Their succulent selection is also pretty large! I saw some that I dont normally see elsewhere. They do have indoor plants as well, but it pales in comparison to their outdoor selection. I am extremely unhappy to say this is my 4th year as a customer & my last. I've been a frequent customer at White Forest Nursery since I purchased my 1st home in October 2020. I've spent thousands purchasing hundreds of plants including: annual & perennial flowers, shrubs, deciduous trees, fruit trees, citrus trees, & vegetables.  I visited multiple times a year, & especially looked forward to the vast bareroot selection during winter. I had recently visited on 1/30/23 to buy a bareroot tree rose & persimmon tree. It was cold, wet, rainy, but I still decided to drive all the way from the Southwest to visit my favorite nursery. Happy with my new plants, I called my mother to say how great this year's selection was. We decided to return a few days later, (2/2/23) to purchase 3 more tree roses. My mother is a retired agricultural biologist who worked with the county for over 30 years. She also spent an abundant amount of money at this business over the years.  After selecting our roses, we wandered the property & noticed there were dozens of ripe citruses on the trees & on the ground. In the past, we've been told by MULTIPLE employees that customers are allowed to sample ripe fruit.  My mother picked a tangerine when a man walked towards us asking if we were "here just to eat fruit?" We replied, "no, we're enjoying shopping, are we not allowed to?" He chuckled & said  "only if you buy the tree.... ha.. that's not funny..." as he walked away.  He never clearly informed us that picking fruit was against company policy.  Thinking he was joking, my mother picked another tangerine, when he started yelling, "OUT, OUT! OUT! YOU NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW!" Aggressively waving his hands in the air like we were LIVESTOCK, not PAYING CUSTOMERS.  Since my mother worked for the county, she identified this man as the OWNER, JERE WHITE. He then muttered that the ripe fruit on the trees were selling points, & he can't sell trees if people keep picking their fruits.  If he had explained this in complete sentences & talked to us like we were adults from the start, we would have most definitely refrained from picking! I'd also like to say 2 out of 3 of the citruses I purchased in the past were not fruiting, but that did not dissuade this once loyal customer from buying them.  I cannot believe how inappropriately & crudely he handled this situation. Of all people, the OWNER should be ashamed of reacting so tactlessly by raising his voice & banshing customers without first explaining the rules. As humiliating as this was, I see how socially incompetent he was & the blatant disrespect he has for his patrons. He immediately misjudged us, a registered nurse & retired biologist, deciding he did not need nor value our business.  I have plenty of other nurseries I am loyal to. Bolles will be seeing me more often; I'll save gas by only driving 15min each way compared to 30min. My family will NEVER go out of our way to buy a single plant here ever again. All the other employees always provided great customer service, but we can no longer support the business of such a crass owner. read more

Today we went shopping for plants. We stopped at two nurseries and did not find anything we wanted. So we called White Forest before going to make sure they had what we were looking for. The gentleman assured us that they had a good selection and encouraged us to come by. We are very glad that we did. Not only did this nursery have the best selections of healthy plants, but many of the nursery staff were very helpful, unlike our experience at the other nurseries. We purchased 4 cherry trees feb 2019. We purchased 2 on Friday and then returned the next day for additional 2 for four trees total. We admit we fell for their cheesy additional $30 insurance upsell.. big mistake. Its quite a gesture of our faith purchasing trees in the winter, the tree's in dormant but trusted them to be alive not dead huge mistake. It wasn't until a month later when only 2 sprouted and realized 2 were very much dead. I drove out in person was sent away and told to email 10 photos to the owner. Thats when the real White in white forest nursery email hell began. We've emailed back and forth countless emails for the month of April and they will wear you out with their insurance claim double talk, blaming the customer, ground water whatever except take responsibility for selling dead tree's. Its when a business reveals who they really are and have gone length to polish and perfect their anti-customer emails, swindle and deceptively realize you've been had by their real end game. Thats when the spirit of the company is revealed. So save your money ( they're already outrageously expensive) and instead purchase your fruit tree's from your local big box store that stands behind their purchases for the industry standard one year. The trees come from the exact same growers anyway. You'll be sorry when your trees are not dormant but dead. You'll be saving your money, peace of mind knowing you'll be purchasing living instead of enjoying your fruit. read more

Such a great nursery but most employees don't follow basic COVID precautions such as wearing masks. I still come here but my wife won't go, their unwillingness to follow basic precautions makes her feel too uncomfortable. My last visit, the cashiers were ringing me up, no masks despite an all time high of cases. One cashier let out a huge slobbery sneeze. Didn't quite cover her mouth, no mask to contain it. So gross, such a disregard for the health of others. All of this is a calculated risk, writing this a day later, still cringing. Going to white forest nursery makes me feel uncomfortable now. Wish they would just wear a mask when ringing people up inside, not expecting full time mask wearing when outside. read more

Absolutely beautiful place to shop for indoor and outdoor plants. I walked around just browsing the well kept grounds for over an hour. I should start off by saying that this review is based solely off of my own experiences with this establishment. PROS: I have only ever had pleasant experiences with the employees in this nursery. They are very warm and welcoming - the quintessential ingredient to any successful business, in my opinion. I've always felt that the workers were very knowledgeable and passionate about plants, which I very much appreciate. I have also been consistently impressed with their plant stock. CONS: Their plants can be a little bit on the pricey side, which is understandable. I have ordered plants from them in the past (atleast twice). However, they did not follow up with me on those orders. It could be that those plants were not available. read more

Awesome staff super nice and funny. There were many spiders but the nice staff gets them off and makes some plants pretty if they need it. They will help you load things up. But things are expensive although they have some nice deals don't go there to get one plant or pit I can practically guarantee you will spend 100$ or up. read more

We were glad Yelp had an advertised event here this past weekend for a citrus tasting - we did not know this place was here. Unfortunately, the citrus tasting was half a$$ed as the gentleman responsible for it did not show up for the day but at least we got to take a look at the nursery. It was a Sunday and semi-busy. Not enough staff working where the plants are but the ones running by us were friendly and said hello. I saw many citrus plants I would love to have in my yard and the nursery has some informative signs on same throughout the lot. The little trees were bursting with fruit! If only I had a green thumb. They take good care of their trees here and the lot/store was clean. We did leave empty handed. We are glad it was not a wasted drive as we were in the area but the citrus tasting itself that we had been looking forward to, was a bit disappointing. read more

I am blessed to have a husband with a green thumb! That's great for me because I know nothing about gardening. I do, however, get to enjoy all of the beauty that he creates. That being said, White Forest is his favorite nursery. Mines too because there is so much to see. If it's too hot out, I can mosey on over to their arts and crafts shop while hubby is outside shopping. They have so many beautiful home decorating items in their shop. It's a bit pricey, but nice to look around and get some decorating ideas. On our last visit, I spotted some beautiful decorative dishes. They were hand painted and so unique. My hubby has purchased so many plants from White Forest for our flower and edible gardens. Among them are an avocado tree, lemon tree, various chili peppers, tomatoes, peonies, gardenias, lilies, and so much more. He even purchased a beautiful welcome banner that he hung in our courtyard. We always receive courteous service, and their team is knowledgeable about their products. As I mentioned, I'm not a gardener, but I don't mind going with hubby to White Forest. Their building is designed like a castle, and their grounds are beautifully stocked with gorgeous flowers and trees. I can literally linger here for hours. read more

Went to get a Christmas Tree tonight with family and one of the woman ( older white heavy set woman) who worked there made it where I will never go again. She was very rude. I was there with my kids and they were walking a around holding hands and once they got any where close to plant (hello we are at a plant nursery) she told then they needed to go outside. Pay in mind we have about 30 plants in our home myself. She said it very rudly like I wasn't standing right there. How is this suppose to be a fun event picking out a Christmas Tree when they don't even want kids there. Now not everyone was Rude we had 2 Gentlemen help us Zack and CJ they were very nice and tried to apologize for her rude ass behavior. I honestly will never go back there. Most of us have stopped by a garden center in a big box store and looked around at whatever seasonal items they had out. It's kinda nice. But if you are really looking plants and trees and seeds and flowers and bushes and etc, and etc then this is the place that you want to go to. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only downvotes for this place are that they can sometimes be a lil pricey. The other thing is that you need to be some kind of kamikaze to navigate the parking lot... My first time coming was today. I've heard the staff is excellent so I gave it a try after bad experiences at Bolles and this place had an awesome staff. We met the owner and he was wonderful!! I got a few accessories for some of my potted plants and a hook to lower one of my hanging plants. The one bad thing is I think this place is very high priced. A bakers rack that wasn't anything too fancy was $400. I can't get over some of their prices. read more
