We had ordered an arrangement from our local 'Log Cabin Florist'. Name, address, unit number, gate code and the town of San Diego all provided in writing as I placed the order in person so there would be no mistakes. Oh......and I needed to call to be let in as their doors were still locked thirty minutes after the opening time. For whatever reason..... supposedly delivery attempted but no delivery because there was NO UNIT NUMBER PROVIDED. Whether it was our local screw up or San Diego doesn't matter.... VERY disappointing..... I'm sure she was surrounded by loving family. It would have been great if our flowers were delivered to this sweet lady that has seen 100 years. read more

Cute long-standing flower shop located downtown. This was my first time coming inside. Needed to order a boutonnière and corsage for winter formal at the last minute. Called the day prior and lady took my order over the phone. Payment was put through over the phone as well and all I had to do was pick up the next day. My high schooler was so thrilled for the last minute save. The items were reasonably priced compared to other shops in town. I will start by saying the last time I received flowers from this place they were great so that is why the person used them again for my birthday (yesterday). I thought a rose had wilted when I saw a large rose today turned down this afternoon. Upon closer inspection I see a clean snapped rose stem with a wire through both pieces. That tells me it was already broke at that part and it was held together by that wire. Working for a florist for many years when I was younger I can't believe an arrangement was sent out that way. Also, even yesterday I noticed some of the tips of the rose buds on multiple roses were blackening when I received it and they looked worse today. Disappointed the flowers are looking this way on day 2 and especially having that broken rose in there. Makes it hard to enjoy a special thought sent my way to celebrate my birthday. Log Cabin Florist is located over 100 miles from where I live and based on past experiences, I've not always received the flower arrangement advertised and/or that I paid for. This time I did!!! I came in looking for eucalyptus to hang in my shower because it helps with my congestion. The ladies inside the shop were very helpful and kind . I requested a floral arrangement with a variety of flowers, but they said my $120 budget would make it a small arrangement. It had gone up to $150 without tax or delivery charges with my original request peonies, hydrangeas, lilies, and fillers. At the last minute I decided to request white roses and hydrangeas in order to get a larger arrangement, and spend $100 for everything, and get my cousin a gift card as well. I was expecting at least a half a dozen roses for $75, and 4 to 5 hydrangeas, plus tax and delivery of course , but that wasn't the case. They used babies breath as a filler, although I mentioned using eucalyptus or something of that nature. It was pretty, but not worth the money, unfortunately. read more

The consultation was at the beginning of August for our wedding in late September.
