I walked in and the first thing I thought was this little flower shop has potential to be great. The only thing that amazed me were these canvases on the wall, now they were beautiful pictures. Everything else, no. Carnations were in paint buckets on the floor by the front door, and most of them were broken. I looked through them trying not to break more. One woman was at the register, busy on the phone. There were other workers? customers? friends? who knows, at this table on the other side of the room maybe putting bouquets together. One woman asked me if I needed anything, I said I was just looking but personally I thought service could have been more inviting or hospitable. read more

Came in for a private party of 13. We were able to bring in our own charcuterie board and wine. They have everything ready for you. All you have to do is put the bouquet together at their direction. Everybody is so friendly. They make you enjoy yourself and have a good time. This is a great place to do team building activities or just to spend time with friends. This fun time is a great value!!! read more

Decided to try this place out since it is somewhat new in the area. I walked in and the lady behind the counter was eating, might of interrupted her lol. It was her and another woman, they looked at me like they didn't really want me there, especially the other woman not even smiling or talking once but came to look at me. I just asked to get some quick flowers to go for my mother. They had a small flower fridge with not a lot of options. Gorgeous flowers however. But this vase costed 80 dollars. I'll just stick with Albertsons. read more

Flower Bar - Florists Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Usually my go to flower shop in town because I live near it but I've rarely ever had a delivery that was made on time. Usually these arrangements get there at the end of the day. I've had flowers delivered to wife's work after the work day was over. Flowers for Mother's Day late in the afternoon, usually people get them in the morning or early afternoon. I've had to call before to hassle them over the delivery time and even meet their drivers to just pick up the flowers myself despite paying delivery. The flower arrangements are nice, I get I'm paying extra for convenience but there's always some sort of inconvenience here that turns every single one of my nice gestures or gifts into what looks like an after thought at the end of the day or hassle for me to hunt people down for the delivery. Owner and employees are super nice but I don't know why I keep going back despite every time being disappointed with the delivery. read more

Great communication whenever I called. I understand that Valentine's Day is a very busy day for floral shops so thank you to all the workers. I'm rating my experience a 3/5 because unfortunately the arrangement did not match the one I ordered (I had chosen the option that if they were to run out of the flowers, they can substitute it by flower TYPE). However that didn't look like the case when it arrived. I spent $160 because I thought the arrangement would look similar to the one I selected but the one I received looks like something I could've bought from Albertsons. read more

I called Flower Bar from Sacramento looking for a bouquet worthy of celebrating a 60th Wedding Anniversary. My parents, in their 80s, have been alone and separated from family and friends during the pandemic to assure their health. I have seen them twice since March 2020. I didn't realize how awful this was until I tried to request their flowers. I'm embarrassed to admit that I cannot remember the name of the lovely woman who helped me fashion an extra special arrangement, but it wasn't long before I was crying to her about how much I miss my parents. She was kind, patient and gentle with me and we talked through what I envisioned. On the day of the anniversary my parents texted me a picture of the bouquet. They are both so happy with the flowers and followed up with a telephone call to reiterate how happy it made them. I cant thank Flower Bar enough for going the extra mile and adding peonies and orchids while removing any flowers with heavy pollen (mom very allergic). I consider this bouquet to be perfection. Thank you!!! read more

10/10. I recently got an order of flowers from here on Friday the 13th. I wanted something with a Halloween vibe being that date and month and I was not disappointed. When I called to see what they could offer me I was greeted by a very sweet lady with a creative mind. She was very enthusiastic about the whole idea which made me even more excited to see how the arrangement would come out. And she did not let me down at all it was a beautiful spooky arrangement. Had a wonderful experience at Flower Bar today and definitely recommend them! They had the exact flowers I was looking for that I couldn't find at stores, and they provided much better service than other florists I had checked out in the area. Even though I came in last minute the day before Mother's Day, they took the time to assemble me a beautiful bouquet and also a boutonnière! A lady who might have been the manager was so accommodating and helpful, and the flowers were very reasonably priced for the beautiful presentation I received. Definitely exceeded my expectations with customer service and value and I will definitely come back here when I need flowers again. read more

I ordered my best friend flowers for her birthday since her dad recently passed away and we cannot be there to celebrate with her. There were literally 3 roses only... it was like a child had put together this arrangement!! I'm so upset with this business, you guys shouldn't be in business. read more

My boyfriend surprised me on our anniversary with some flowers from flower bar. The arrangement was gorgeous and was initially very happy to receive them. However, after about a day at my house, the flowers started to wilt. These flowers were delivered on a Friday and by Sunday, the flowers turned brown and started falling. I can't believe how short lived these flowers are!! I've purchased flowers from vons or Trader Joe's that have lasted for at least a week. He also paid quite a bit to get it delivered since he lives out of town and can't get them in person. We are very disappointed and probably not buy from this place again. read more

By phone from 100 miles away, the women who picked up the phone and handled my order were kind, professional, helpful, thorough, excellent and thoughtful. Amanda is one the sweetest souls ever! She took the time (and patience) to help me pick out a gift for a coworker (who I didnt know super well--she ended up loving her plant!) I told her around how much I wanted to spend, what type of office setting we had and she whipped up something so quickly! Within my budget and totally personalized. Excellent service. Beautiful and I mean very beautiful bouquet. I'll be using these guys again

I purchased 6 stems of daisies and 10 stems of tulips for my mother and my friend's mother the day before mothers day. I was a walk-in and was told I couldn't have tulips because they didn't have enough for a bundle. After searching around I asked again if they were sure I couldn't have any tulips, but apparently they grew some fast enough to "change their minds"... and gave me 10 stems of them. So when I purchased the two bundles they scanned my card twice, saying there was an error the first time, but later I see my account was charged the $55.21 twice. So I called and told them this issue. I told them exactly how many stems of flowers I bought and the exact day and time, but because I didn't have my receipt "there was nothing they could do about it." And she recognized who I was right away because when I called and told her I was charged twice she immediately said "oh you were a walk-in". So, very unhelpful and I will never go again. Thanks for being my first yelp review that I never thought I'd write. Thankfully my bank is giving me my money back! read more

I've learned a valuable lesson this week....never use the online florists, not ever!! Make the time to utilize our local flower shops and drive/call to make your purchase. After 3 days of back/forth and a unsuccessful delivery ($150 order) I became extremely frustrated and by day 4 I'm still receiving emails they are "working on my refund! ...(ya I bet they are..NOT). That entire online system is a ripoff, as well as very expensive. In addition, they rarely provide the correct flower order nor are they fresh. They choose random businesses and the customer service people are horrible too!! Therefore, today I walked into The Flower Bar on Stockdale Hwy. and I shared my flower preferences/colors, price range, and picked from a beautiful selection of vases; the gentleman provided some great ideas and he was VERY knowledgeable, extremely courteous, professional and within Minsk time he created a stunning arrangement for me! His expertise gave me the reassurance I had picked the right place. Highly recommend The Flower Bar, I'll be going back for my future orders most definitely! read more

Flower bar did a fantastic job with my wedding flowers. I met with Val on my first consultation. I let her know I had no idea what colors I wanted since I had blues and I couldn't think of what colors would look well. From bouquets to center pieces. Her idea was great! She used some soft pink and ivory and some type of plant that gave off like a grayish color. Which would match perfect with my groom and groomsmen suits. The day of my wedding when my bouquets arrived I was beyond grateful to have choosen them as my go to flower shop! They were beautiful! Everything from my bouquets to my center pieces, to my boutonnieres! And let me not forget Kay! Such a sweet lady. She did my invitations in a day!!! read more
