With that said, the CAT system at UND is a really good bus system! I will say that I have never used any bus prior to this, so my experience may be skewed, but I have found that they were always on time (plus or minus one minute) in the semester that I've used them so far. I would also like to note that the older lady who drives the UND Blue Route is extremely sweet. She always greets everyone with a smile and a warm "hello!" and wishes everyone a great day when they leave, which I can really appreciate. It always makes my day a little better. Shoutout to her (she's still there as of the 2023 Spring Semester!) Also, the buses are reasonably clean too, considering that it's winter in North Dakota and everyone easily tracks in dirt, snow, gravel, and salt. So overall, I highly recommend this bus system, at least the one at UND. I cannot speak for the other buses that go around the city.

ANDREW, you're awesome! Super helpful and really understanding! I needed route information for a family member who was stuck at the hospital and needed to get back to their hotel. They were from out-of-town and so am I, but I was able to give ANDREW the starting/ending addresses and he gave me detailed info for bus routes/times/fares that my family member could use. Sadly, she found alternate transportation so I have no idea how good MATBUS actually is, but A+ on the dispatch side. FYI, if you're from out-of-town, don't bother with trying to decipher the maps that MATBUS provides on their website. Even knowing exactly where my family member was going, I totally couldn't understand which lines she needed to take so calling dispatch was my only option, but like I said SUPER HELPFUL people!
