We booked on line and although the confirmation made me a little nervous (seemed too easy!) - Jeff delivered right on time at our vacation rental home the night before our ski vacation was to begin. He picked everything back up from the base of the resort on the last day of skiing. On a whim we asked about skis for our 2.5 yr old who was feeling very left out without his own skis and he ran back to his shop and grabbed our little guy skis, boots, and helmet. The best part was avoiding the crowd at the resort ski rental shop (especially with young kids)...but the prices were great too. Quality was average but we felt like we got good value for what we paid for...and we aren't hard core skiers so we aren't picky. Convenience was GREAT. read more

I had an awesome experience renting from White Dog Ski rentals. I got a 20% discount by booking online and my skis were brought to my hotel at no extra charge. In fact, he (Jeff, the owner) brought 3 different boots for me to try. And if that wasn't enough, after doing 2 runs and realizing that I had chosen the wrong size boot, I called him from the mountain and he (and his cute white dog) met me at the bottom within 30 minutes with more boots to try. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I highly recommend White Dog! (ps- they are cheaper than Ski Butlers- another ski delivery service). read more

Just got back from a 12 day trip to Park City. Found White Dog right here in the Yelp Reviews. Family of 5, 3 skiers and two boarders. We had the Powderhound packages. Very reasonable prices (definitely better than on mountain shops), filled out all forms online prior to arriving and they were expecting us with individual equipment recommendations when we got there. My wife loved the Atomic ladies skis. Great in the powder and still a sold all terrain option. I spent the first few days on the Salomon Enduro XT 850s. Great carving ski and heavy enough to smash thru spring crud at the end of the day. We got a few great dumps (40" in 11 days !!! ). Mid week I switched to the Rossignol Soul 7s. LOVED them. Awesome in the powder but still a solid all mountain carver. The Boarders both has Rossignol boards and loved them. All the equipment was in great shape (waxed and edged as well). The owner Jeff and his right hand man Joe were great to work with (need to see Joe's Beard - legendary). They knew their products and put us all into the right equipment out of the box. Change outs in the Demo package were easy. Definitely going back next year to Jeff and Joe at White Dog. Unfortunately Rufus (The White Dog) passed away last year, and Jeff has a new baby, so it may be till next season until Rufus II makes an appearance. I had a GREAT experience renting from White Dog. I can't recommend them enough, and I'll be going straight to them next time I'm in Park City. The prices are great and posted online on their website. There were no hidden fees when I went in, and this was a relief... I didn't want to get tourist-screwed via something like "oh you had to print out the coupon" or "those website prices are only good on Tuesday evenings with the purchase of gloves" or something like that. But nope-- no BS and Jeff (the owner) was friendly, super helpful, and took care to help me size everything and know the differences. The prices were exactly what I expected from the website-- again, no surprises. And they're open into the evenings (til 9pm on Fridays) so you don't have to race to get your stuff returned. Overall a good experience. Initially very underwhelmed with the variety of skis available in the touted-as-expert Powderhound package, but they came through for me after someone else turned some more appropriate skis in. Apparently you can reserve specific models ahead of time. White dog rentals is the best rental shop I have ever worked with when renting skis. They have very reasonable prices (cheapest in park city) and amazing customer service. Jeff, the owner, is amazing and is willing to work with you to find the best skis to fit your skiing style. I was trying to rent a specific pair of skis, but they were rented out. Jeff recommended an alternative ski to use for the first couple days until the skis I wanted came back. Then he let me swap them out. Although we own our own skis, we always bring guests to rent from White Dog. The owner Jeff is very knowledgable and extremely friendly and down to earth. I have purchased skis from them and they always take care of me. Not only is White Dog a great place to rent skis, as they are helpful, have great equipment, they are also less expensive than most other places in town. I think they also deliver to hotels, etc. Of equal interest is that during the summer, they are a premier fly fishing center. Jeff took out my wife and I and provided all the equipment as well as set up our rods and constantly taught and monitored our progress. He was not there just fishing for himself, but making sure we were learning and having a good time. We now only fish with Jeff. We could not recommend a better ski and fish proprietor. We just got back from a summer trip to Park City and used White Dog for our much anticipated Fly Fishing adventure. My husband, 10 year old son and I all love fishing but had never tried fly fishing. I was a little nervous about the 10 year old being able to manage a fly fishing rod since he gets frustrated very easily. But, Jeff (the owner and our fly fishing guide) handled the three of us expertly. Jeff knew just where to take us, and exactly where to position my son so that he caught more fish than my husband and I combined. We all had a great time, caught lots of fish, and have talked about the adventure ever since. I highly recommend White Dog for anyone looking for a successful and stress free fly fishing trip. If you are visiting Park City this place is a good bet. If you are here during peak season better make a reservation as the they sell out as do most shops in Park City Plus, if you are there around lunch or dinner you can go to El Chubasco or Sammy's Bistro. We had a group of 5 rent skis for a week long trip to Park City. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the rental process. Unfortunately, my rental was taken by an unknown skier on day 1 of our trip! I immediately rented at the Park City base for double the price in order to save time. By the end of our trip my skis and poles had not surfaced, so I had to pay the $340 replacement fee. Thankfully, three days after returning home I was contacted by White Dog to let me know that my skis had been returned. Even better - they immediately refunded the replacement fee. I will never know how someone could ski on the wrong rental skis from the wrong shop for a week and a half, but I do know that I would be happy to rent from White Dog if I ever ski Park City again. read more

This place is awesome. We went to Park City during the busiest week of the year (after Christmas). We were dreading the long lines and the expensive prices of the rental places right on the hill. I filled out my information for the 7 of us online. The owner even called me back that night and told me he could accommodate us the next morning when we were coming in. When we went in with 7 people of different sizes and abilities, it was a breeze. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. It was worth the 5 minute drive off the hill. Plus, the 2 guys working there were super chill and nice. It is the only place I will rent skis in Park City. Plus, did I mention that I think we saved about 50 percent by going there? read more

I rented 3 pairs of skis here. We are regular annual visitors to PC and I decided to try these guys. I was disappointed. They were condescending to my 13 year son when he could not get his boots on (because they were too small). The equipment was decent, but not of the quality that I have rented at other establishments in the area. When we turned the skis in they charged me $35 for a scratch that will take them 10 minutes to repair. This is after paying over $600 for the rentals. I would not recommend them as there are many rental companies in the area that will treat you better for the same price. read more

Just got back from our first trip to PC. Great experience and highly recommend White Dog for renting ski equipment. We had skis, boots etc. delivered to our hotel in Deer Valley and Joe was not only super helpful with the equipment, but also with general Park City tips re: transit etc. Reserved online and while the website isn't as high tech as some of it's competitors it gets the job done. The prices are great (get 20% off for online reservation, no hidden fees etc and very clear billing statement is sent via email when cc was charged) and as a small business owner I like to support other small businesses. When I get great service I want to spread the word. Stop shopping and go to White Dog! read more
