Great location next to the ice-skating rink at the Park City Mountain Resort base. They sell and rent top notch current model year ski and snowboard equipment. We came here specifically because they have the opportunity for you to rent (demo) the equipment before you buy it, and their convenient location at the base of Park City Mountain Resort means you can swap things easily during the day. They can also do boot fittings with custom orthotics. The staff provides excellent service and was very knowledgeable. The owner Jackson himself helped us and he is wonderful. I would not rent anywhere else in Park City. The prices are great and the staff are super helpful and clearly happy to be there. They will even volunteer to help you take off your ski boots after a long day of skiing. Additional bonus is that they will valet the skis for free. If you are thinking you have the Epic pass and can get a better deal with the 20% discount elsewhere, you are wrong. The price will be better at Jackson's and the experience will be way better. I had such a great experience here. The guys that work here were so friendly and helpful. I was given new boots and really awesome skis. I was complimented on the skis many times on the slopes. They were Faction, pink skis. They also taught me how to put on the boot the proper way. I've been skiing 35 years and always pull my ski sock over my thermal leggings, but they explained that wasn't a good idea and I should only have the single ski sock in the boot. The legging should be pulled up above the boot. They taught me to tighten boot really tight on leg, but loose over the toes. Very helpful. These guys are simply the best!! I will never rent or buy from anywhere else in Park City! We've been going to Park City for a few years and I've rented equipment from most of the shops there. This was my first time going to Jackson's and I honestly will never go anywhere else again. Everyone in the shop is super cool, incredibly knowledgable, beyond helpful, and just the friendliest. I rented skis and boots from them and when trying on my boots I didn't listen and chose boots that were too big. After a few hours on my first day, my boots weren't feeling great so I went back in and they immediately took the boots back, had me try different pairs until I found one that fit me properly. After day 2, I went back in and ended up buying boots from them because they were so great. I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely be back to see them next season! read more

Everyone was super helpful with rentals. We were in and out very fast and all because they were ON TOP OF IT. All of the guys were super friendly. As soon as we walked in they were asking to help get your boots off and with anything you need. Prices were very reasonable. We had a group of 8 and we were able to store of skis and boards so when we came back for day 2 we just gave them our card and they had it out and ready for us. My husband bought skis from Jackson's Base Camp on Tuesday. We debated on the purchase but after talking with the store clerk, who told us "this is the best deal you'll get."...we pulled the trigger. On Friday, 3 days later, they were marked to 50% off. We went in to purchase helmets and saw the discounted skis on the wall. There were 3 left in the size my husband purchased. We asked the owner, Jackson, if he could give us the difference. He said no. Stating he "doesn't know when things will be going on sale." Which is odd being the owner and I hate being lied to. We paid $731 out the door for the skis and they were on sale for $525. Not only did we not purchase helmets and skis for myself, we left feeling cheated and lied to. Best ski shop I've ever been to. I've rented skis in almost every ski town in Colorado. I've been fitted for and bought boots in Colorado, and this shop blows them all away. This is our second year in a row visiting park city and our second year in a row using Jackson base camp. Not only are their prices extremely competitive, their customer service is second to none, and just as importantly their equipment that they rent out is top notch. Most ski shops rent out skis specifically made for renting, but this place gets brand new skis and boots every season and they rent out the exact same skis and boots that they sell. I Was in steamboat, Colorado a few weeks ago and rented skis from the most recommended shop in town, and their demo skis were last year's models and were beat to hell. Not Jackson basecamp. In fact, one guy in our group got lucky and was able to rent brand new skis that still had the packaging on them when they were brought out. But the main reason I felt compelled to write this review was the boot fitter, Stephanie. She's the most knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and helpful boot fitter I've ever come across. It's apparent very quickly that she takes pride in providing an exceptional experience and making sure her customers end up in the correct boot that fit perfectly. My wife and I were both blown away by her kindness and the level of customer service she provided. Whether you're just looking to rent skis or you're in the market to buy boots, make sure to go to Jackson's Base Camp (even if you're staying in the Canyons... it's worth it). It's a pretty good place to get rentals. Conveniently located close to the mountain. So you can check your skis and poles in and out.. boots... ummm. Be careful on your own. Toes really shouldn't be touching the front end of the boot unless you want to loose nails which my big toe is about to going into the boston marathon.. my bad. They don't tell you to but if they don't fit or it hurts click out of the skis immediately and swap em out.. read more

I don't write many reviews but our experience at Jackson's Base Camp (Park City Mountain Location) was so incredible, we had to share. First, we had decided before heading to Park City this year that we wanted to purchase skis rather than renting again. Stephanie was really helpful in narrowing down the top 3-4 ski brand/model/sizes for each of us based on all our criteria. Note: it was spring break so all new skis were marked 40% off. Before buying, we were able to demo every set of recommended skis out on the mountain by doing a daily rental for $50 then swapping out each pair every couple hours. It was helpful that Jacksons rents every model of ski they sell. We also bought new carbon ski poles. After trying all the skis first, we both made our purchase with confidence. Liberty Evolv84 for my wife and I got the Faction 2.0 Agents. Neither of us would have known to select those specific skis without all the great advice and ability to demo each. On our final day, now we need to get our new gear home and our rental wasn't going to accommodate to the SLC airport. No problem, Kasey was again really helpful and kept it simple. We dropped off all our skis, poles and a pair of ski boots. She shipped it all back to our house for a lower rate than what I could get via FedEx or UPS. My skis were $60 and my wife's skis were $50 to ship and drop at our front door. Highly recommend Jacksons Base Camp. Decided to rent skis and boots instead of paying to ship mine to Park City. I went to Jackson's expecting to try a few options but that wasn't the case. They measured me for boots using my non-dominant foot which led to a very uncomfortable fit. Apparently I'm the only person they've ever encountered whose dominant foot is bigger than the other foot haha Anyway, they insisted I was wrong about the fit and sent me on my way hurriedly. Instead of letting me try a different style or size of boot, I was told to come back the following day to swap them out, which I did. I felt like a nuisance to the guys working here. They made me feel like an idiot after telling them I wear 2 pairs of thin smartwool PhD ski socks on the mountain (like I've done for the past 22 years.) As a diabetic it's what keeps my feet warm. Everyone is different--why they don't customize the fitting experience to each individual's needs is beyond me. The skis themselves were chewed up and worn but as an intermediate skier they worked fine for me. One plus side is it's in a super convenient location at the base of the resort. Seems like your experience with Jackson's Base Camp greatly depends on who helps you get fitted. After chatting with a few other renters on the mountain I'll probably try a different rental service next time. read more

We have gotten season rentals from Jackson's for the past several years and I've always been happy with the gear and service. Today they took service to the next level. My teenage son damaged his ski and we took it into the shop during what is likely the most busy, stressful time of the year. The staff could have been rude and irritated with him, but instead the first thing every employee did was ask him if he was okay. They solved the problem quickly and graciously and got my son set up and ready to get back on the mountain. What a fantastic place to rent snowboarding gear! Lots of choices in equipment, everything current season and hardly used. I think my boots were brand new and the board and bindings looked like they were used once! The staff here is what pushes this place over the top! They are laidback and super helpful with making sure everything is perfect for your time at PC. Man these guys are good! Located at the base of Park City Mountain Resort they have prime location and selection. Daily rentals are super easy, special discount for booking the night before, and the fifth star is because of the resident dog that stole my heart. If you're looking for a reasonable rental gear experience in PC with some rad dudes then go here. Plenty of room to store your belongings while you're shredding that fresh pow pow. Of note, if you rent for multiple days they have an easy drop off and pick up section in the front of their store so you don't have to lug your gear back to your hotel or cabin and then back to the mountain each day. read more

I guess reviewing Jackson's is almost redundant but I can't help myself. This place truly deserves a Five Star! We came out for a skiing weekend at Park City for the first time and I was recommended by a colleague to Jackson's. My friends and I pre-registered online and received promotion. These guys are really fast! The whole process was seamless. That said, definitely better to reserve your skis online to expedite the process. You don't have to put down your credit card info even...I was helped putting on boots and the next thing I know my skis and poles are all waiting outside with my name one it. You can leave your shoes at Jackson's and they can store your ski for free overnight, although you will have to take the helmet and ski boots with you. The reason being ski boots / helmets are easy to get mistaken. On a second day, we had to check out of our rental by 11 and still wanted to ski. The staff was nice enough to let us store our luggage until we finish skiing and depart for the airport. We left our shoes at Jackson's and rented another locker near the lift tickets station. It was very easy. They have a dog Harley who is very independent / doesn't like to be patted but is so sweet. Highly recommend this place!! read more

I was in Park City for a week of skiing, and decided to get some demos. I walked in without a reservation in the morning, and the crew very quickly got me setup. It was quick and painless. And surprisingly cheap for a week's worth of demos (again, without a reservation) -- about $200. The main reason for the five star review though is the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was helped by many staff members while I was there, but Erin was particularly patient and helpful trying to find the best ski for me. The only thing I did not like about my time there was the selection of skis. There was a large selection of brands available to demo, but unfortunately many of the brands I was interested in were not carried (Volkl, Nordica, Blizzard). It was still a great experience because the staff got me on other skis that I liked and hadn't even heard of before. read more

My husband and I just rented skis here based on other Yelpers. I agree that service is fast and friendly. We also liked the quality of the equipment and, in fact, it was probably the best quality we have had in the past several years of renting skis. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of our experience with overnight ski storage. This seemed like a great benefit until we went to pick up our skis the following day and mine were missing. The staff looked everywhere but they were gone. The issue is that there is no control over the skis. When you check them in at the end of the day, you aren't given a claim check and it is pretty much a free for all in terms of pick up. Skis are placed at the front of the store in bins and renters look for their skis, take them, and leave the store with no staff interaction. Anyone could take a pair and leave with no one noticing, which can be costly for the store and inconvenient for the renter. So for the store's own protection, I would recommend having a staff member facilitate the pick-up process. We had no problem with them replacing my skis, and we were happy overall with our experience. I had rented the equipment using the 30% Yelp discount and Erin, the Rental Operations Manager, even honored an additional 10% since my husband is a veteran. So we were impressed with their military friendly service. We will be back! read more

Jackson and his team service/sell high quality ski equipment only. They have top of the line equipment in their tune and rental shop. Location/convenience- practically on the ski hill and they now even offer seasonal lockers for cheaper than the Vail ones! Jackson's Base Camp is the BEST ski rental company I've used in my entire life!!! To start, my wife and I were greeted immediately upon walking in the door by the owner Jackson. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the best fit for a snowboard and skis!! We were then introduced to another employee who helped us get our equipment in the valet department for use the next day. The lady in valet (forgot her name) always has a smile on her face and greets you each and every time like you are the most important person in the world. Additionally, each and everyday we walked in to put our boots on, one of the fine employees would offer to help in anyway they could!!!! Rented today and was blown away at how efficient and friendly everyone was. I was literally set up and out the door in 10 min. Highly recommend online reservations. Made things go quick. Got a brand new set of boots and performance skis. A quick insider tip by my tech Logan on which runs to hit to avoid the crowds and I was set for the day. Returns were super fast too. Multiple staff asked if I needed help getting my boots off. I declined cuz who wants to smell my dogs after a day of skiing but I apreciate their customer service. I was blown away by the level of service - when I rented boots, they not only offered to put on both of my boots, but at the end of the day, they offered to remove my boots!
