I've been to this location numerous times and I don't remember a time when I had a problem with the food or the staff. The food is usually just as good as the better locations, and the staff have been, for the most part, serviceable. Perhaps, I've been lucky. What is a constant, however, are the long wait times on drive-thru, but personally, all that waiting has been a blessing. It has meant the food comes out to me hot and fresh. Because I am familiar with the nature of the company, and am perhaps understanding of the standards expected of this location, I always enter this drive-thru expecting to wait long. And if I don't wait long, that's always a frickin' plus. I think this area is lucky to have a White Castle as good as this one. All in all, the long wait times on drive-thru have always ended in me getting fresh burgers, hot fries, and overall satisfaction with the food. Along with that, the staff have been fine. The traditional French fries, drinks and milk shakes and dessert. Their cheesecake on a stick is delicious and addictive. Their milk shakes are so thick that they kinda dry your throat out. You have to order a drink to wash the milk shake down. It is suggested that you sample a few menu item. This White Castle location deserves a 2.5 star rating from me. There just weren't enough redeeming qualities to round up to 3. The food itself is usually pretty good. It definitely fills that craving and White Castle is one-of-a-kind when it comes to those little burgers. Beware though... They are open 24 hours a day so it can get addicting! As far as customer service goes, there really isn't much. Almost every time I have ordered from inside, the staff is just chatting and mingling amongst themselves rather than servicing guests. The last time I was there, I waited almost 30 minutes because somebody forgot to fry off some mozzarella sticks. There was no apology or anything and it seems like management is non-existent unless you ask for them. And the drive-thru? Fuggetaboutit. On average, I probably sat in White Castle's drive-thru for 25 minutes. You're better off going inside. Also... I once ordered online (terrible app, btw. not user-friendly at all) and figured going through the drive-thru to pick-up would have been quicker (since it was an option in the app) and I was still told I had to come inside anyway. I love white castle, the little burgers, crinkle cut fries and those chicken rings! I remember when they had the chicken rings in hot sauce seasoning and the hidden valley ranch flavor too. The service here is actually better than all the other ones in Queens. The one on Queens Blvd is slow whereas this one is quick, somewhat friendly (they do act mechanical at times) but I've never had an issue with receiving the wrong order or anything being missing. Lately every time I visit this restaurant, the service only gets worse and worse. My last experience was unacceptable. Not only did I have to wait almost an hour for my food, but the cashier girl was very disrespectful. I placed an order, and waited a long time only to receive cold burgers and dirty (yes dirty) fries. I addressed the fries issue and the female employee explained that it's because of the oil and made it seem like I didn't have a choice in the matter but to accept it. I asked how long will it take to make new fries and was told it will take 10 minutes. I then requested to have my entire order replaced because by the time I get fresh sanitary fries, my burgers that initially went cold from waiting a long time which was already replaced, will once again need replacing due to the long wait for the fries. I waited much longer than 10 minutes and when I approached the counter to pick up my replaced meal, I was informed that IT was not ready yet. I requested a refund and the female employee's attitude suddenly changed. She began talking to me with a nasty attitude like I did something wrong. Another employee immediately rushed to let me know that all he had to do was pack the new fries and my order will be ready. So I allowed him to pack the fries and I finally received my order after waiting almost an hour. The sad part is that this restaurant was not even crowded. The employees are constantly fraternizing with each other and it delays the customer's orders. There was one customer on my last visit where the employees were fraternizing with her. Actions such as this slows down production tremendously. The service I received was completely unacceptable. No customer should have to wait an extremely long time at a fast food restaurant. I was better off at a diner. At least I would have received my food faster compared to how long it took to receive my food from here. I'm not sure when this happened but I have become a fan of White Castle. I'm not sure what it is about those teeny little burgers that have made me a fan. I do appreciate the different options of meals that one can choose from. I am a fan of the jalapeño cheeseburger, that little hint of spice takes a lackluster burger to a level of appetizing. I also like to order a side car of cheese for my fries. I think the cheese does have a hint of jalapeño as well. When ordering inside sometimes it takes a while to grab the attention of the employees because they are engaged in conversations amongst themselves.
