    Small tea is large.

I've never been a fan of White Castle. It used to be the only place open 24 hours, so I had to shove them down sometimes. Now, there are many options. I came here because, well, it was handy and quick, and I've tried just about every other place in Marysville. Gave them another chance. I had low expectations, and they were met. Sliders: I don't know why people crave them. Incredibly thin "burgers" of grey meat, on a bun that gets mushy and collapses. The watery onion flavor is a low point, not a high point, for me. My first one I barely choked down. I added my usual burger toppings, mayo and ketchup, to the second. They helped, but still, blah. Next I tried a "savory grilled bbq chicken" slider. It was better, but not much. The bun held up better, the chicken was generic, as was the sauce. Finally, a chicken breast slider. This wasn't bad, with better chicken, and I should have gotten several of them. I did add the corn dog "nibblers," and these were pretty close to festival-type corn dogs, if you're into that (I am.) I dipped them in ketchup and honey mustard sauce, but even plain they were good. There's nothing healthy here to eat. Well, there is the veggie slider, but if it bears the same relationship to vegetables that a normal slider bears to beef... Besides, no one on a diet is going to White Castle. The vaunted sweet tea was slightly sweet, and very watery. The service was super good and friendly. The place was messy and there were flies. I can't imagine ever going back, to any White Castle. If you want a slider, so many places have them now, and much better. Even Steak and Shake's are far better. For really good small burgers, go to Crabill's in Urbana.

    My first White Castle, what!!

Feeling frustrated that I didn't get my random fry with my order of onion chips. ‍it should be a mandatory requirement. Just sayin.

Famous sliders are nasty. Chicken sliders are a lot better. It's your average White Castle. Place looks cleaner than most White Castles.

We decided to check this place out on a Friday night. It wasn't busy and our party of 2 adults and…read more1 kid was seated promptly. I ordered the Manhattan and husband ordered a bourbon neat; the Manhattan was classically tasty, but the bourbon was a very small pour (though the prices are very reasonable). Kiddo had the lavender lemonade which was tasty. Husband and I both ordered the chicken fingers, he with the pimento Mac and cheese, and I ordered the jalapeño cornbread. Kiddo had eaten already but we ordered her the biscuits. The chicken was fantastic- seasoned well and not overcooked. It was served with tasty vinegary greens (wish I had more!) and thin-sliced watermelon. The Mac and cheese was good but light on the pimento; we enjoyed the Old Bay seasoned Ritz cracker crumble. The jalapeño cornbread was lacking heat but tasted good. I tried the biscuits and could eat the orange marmalade-ish jelly forever, though our kid didn't care for it. We came back the following week and this time tried the catfish and grits. The catfish was seasoned perfectly and very good; the grits were average, needing more seasoning and some cheese. It was busier this time but still great service. I enjoyed a Negroni and husband had a whiskey (better pour this time). Overall we've been impressed by the menu, service, and price. We'll be back and Hope this business can keep it up to offer some local variety in Marysville.
