I'm a White Castle's fan, have been since I was a child and will probably always be. I've found that not all locations are the same. I prefer this location over New Albany. This Hwy 31 location will have items stocked while the New Albany location won't (i.e., sweet potato fries when they were a menu item - I experienced this at least 3 times), their burgers and fries are always fresh and pipin hot. This means the hamburger buns are soft and the fries are too hot to immediately grab and take a bite. The drive-thru employees are friendly and work the line quick.

I mean its white castles--- theyre bound to leave you disappointed at some point. :/ The staff being rude or getting the order wrong?! Its a toss up! Itll be one of the two! But hey this last time we went, the wait time was short and our order was correct (& the staff wasn't rude)--maybe theyre turning a new leaf?!! ;) We got the Impossible Sliders (fake burger meat) and chicken rings! The "burgers" were fantastic and lived up to the nae, we were like this is impossible this isn't real meat!! :O But seriously, I definitely recommend trying the Impossible Sliders from here!!

Even before we were seated, I noticed a server wearing a green bandanna speaking to another employee, who we later learned was the manager on duty, in a way that seemed unprofessional and unfriendly. After we were seated, my wife asked if we could move because she was cold. We then waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server finally arrived, she acted like she didn't want to be there. My wife asked for a recommendation, but the response was vague and unhelpful. Our drink order was wrong. My wife and I ordered waters, and our son ordered a Sprite, but we received two lemonades and one water instead. After taking our order, our server disappeared. She never brought our food, checked on us, asked if we needed refills, or stopped by the table again. The manager walked past our table several times but never seemed interested in checking on our experience. The biggest issue was my son's meal. He ordered chicken sliders with the sauce on the side, but they arrived covered in sauce. Another employee took the meal back to be remade, but it came back wrong a second time. By then, my wife and I had already finished eating, and our son had been waiting nearly an hour without a proper meal. When I spoke with the manager, I asked that my son's meal be removed from the bill. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, the manager offered excuses rather than solutions. Mistakes can happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. Unfortunately, the customer service from both our server and the manager was disappointing. We left frustrated, and based on this experience, we will not be returning to this location.

We seated ourselves as there was no host but lots of waiters/waitress walking around. We sat at a simple rail table and waited for someone to wait on us and take our drink, food order. The staff just seemed oblivious to our being there and walked past several times. I finally went to the waitress station and got the attention of I believe the manager; He took my drink order; a Diet Coke wit bourbon and a Gallant Chocolate Stout. The tap spit so he went back to tap another keg. Was taking sometime; so got attention of the bartender ( Chrisella sp? ). I switched to a Founders stout and DC/bourbon. She was on it and gave me menus. Took drinks back to table and looked over the menu options. Many sounded very good; but still no one to take order. Went to waitress station and Sella took our order. 1 mile burger and one smash burger and split fries. We moved to the bar as a few patrons had left. Enjoyed game and soon food arrived. The burgers were really good and fries nice and crisp. Seen some pretty nice hot dogs served along with some hot fries. Even though service was mostly extinct, Chrisella made up for it. I'd like to plan to come back and try a few other interesting food and drink items. They do have one of the more comprehensive lists of beer line ups in the local area. I really liked the outside Biergarten and the business is very spacey and nicely decorated and lots of seating area.

Brezzie ( sp ) was our waitress; she was totally spot on with everything. The setting was again awesome with a nice day over looking the river, the Louisville skyline and the bridges. Walking bridge was busy. Drinks were ordered and food orders placed. I had aside salad that was fresh, crisp, nicely crafted and tasty. Along with that I had the dry rubbed wings. So good and nice portion. My wife had the Reuben which was new for her (use). It was very, very good and well put together. I'm not a big Reuben person but I tasted it and it was very good! And when Breezie was busy another waitress perfectly slipped in to keep us well served. Their training is spot on. In my opinion this location probably has some of the best trained staff in the Clark County area. Not that others a bad this place just feels like a step up. Bourbon and Burger's menu is at least 50% identical to Mussel and Burger Bar and has some overlap with Havana as well (both currently or previously owned by Ole Restaurant Group/Martinez/Lorenzo). If you like Mussel and Burger, you'll like this. And pay about $10 more per meal. The burgers are mainly in the $15-$18 range. For JUST a burger. Add an extra $5-$7 for fries and you're looking at a BURGER meal topping out around $25. That's more than you'll pay for a burger at any fine steakhouse. Shakes are $9-$15! $1 extra for ranch! We just spent $120 for 3 people. For BURGERS. I'm not sure who decided on this price point but it doesn't fit. The vibe of the place is very casual. The food itself tasted fine. I don't recommend the zucchini fries. Burgers are too tall - with 2 patties on them. We had to eat them in sections with forks and knives (no thanks). Service was very slow. I don't think our server actually ever checked on us the entire time we had our food. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed the server had taken my soda away. And never brought a new one. However, our service was very poor and slow. My party of 5 started with a chili con queso. It was basic but good. The serving was small for the price. We ordered a variety of meals. 2 chicken strips and fries, one grilled chicken strips and fries. A second order of grilled chicken with loaded sweet potatoes fries. And Lastly, a ground beef loaded nacho. The chicken was extremely dry and the nachos were so greasy. I know, we went to a burger place and nobody ordered a burger... maybe a bad move on our part. Also, every small sauce was $1 and you receive about an ounce. I was a bit surprised when I got the bill and none of the chicken came with any sauce. In all, It's cute enough and in a great location. I will go back to try a burger.... But based on our experience yesterday, I'd pass on the chicken.

I had no idea the veggie burger was the one featured on the show, so as a vegetarian, I was especially excited to try it. I swapped the veggie patty onto the Mushroom & Swiss burger, and it was hands down the best veggie burger I've had in the decade I've been vegetarian. Our group all ordered different burgers, along with the fries and Brussels sprouts, and every single plate was a hit. They have super unique sauces to try as well, I am not a huge pickle fan but the dill pickle hot sauce was my personal favorite. I also recommend grabbing a brown butter toffee cookie on your way out. The restaurant has a fun, laid-back atmosphere with great music, colorful murals, a lively bar area, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives playing on the TVs, which was a nice touch. It's also located in a cute part of downtown Louisville that's worth exploring. The service matched the food. Everyone was welcoming, happy to answer our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be on my list for a return visit the next time I'm in Louisville.
