I was in search of a Panama style or similar men's hat and found an excellent selection. The proprietor was adept at his craft and juggled several customers artfully while moving among his considerable stock of wares. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the place being a bit on a schedule (but then it would have cost me dearly as my wife was eyeing several selections). I found what I was looking for, and we scurried away to our event with smiles on. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by!

When I arrived and with an excited smile asked to see the sale section, the owner gave me an unpleasant look and said: "the hats are in the back (behind the counter), just tell me what you want and I'll see if we have it". I told her I wanted to browse the hats, she refused. She asked my size, which I did not know. What an unpleasant experience, eventually she brought out a couple of hats and threw them in front of me. All I can say is that if you want to announce a sale, then don't treat your customer who drives a good distance with such disdain. I even dressed up for the trip. I can promise you I won't darken their doorway again. Ever. My wife had been excited for me to get a nice Panama hat, and when she heard the story she called the store the next day and had a conversation with the owner (I do not remember her name), who promised to call me with an apology. I have spoken to their manager who told me that they were going to be sending out a new one. I have now called the company several times and they're not returning my phone calls. They have not sent out the replacement hat. My next step is to call the Better Business Bureau And report them.
