I just got my braces off after having them for a little under 2 years. Any time I needed an appointment change or had any questions they were all there to help. I'm absolutely IN LOVE with my teeth now and I can't stop looking at them. I highly recommend that if you're thinking about braces you should check out Edstrom, Trigonis, and Swenson. You won't be disappointed!

My son finally got his braces off. Three years after getting them on and a whole year delayed. There were numerous problems and mistakes made. Some by my son for not following protocol 100% but mostly the assistants putting brackets on incorrectly, wires not being cut short enough cutting into his cheek, and going months before the next visit before figuring out that bands were not in the right place. Not to mention that when my son had emergencies it was a challenge to get an appointment. Maybe they double or triple book in order to close the office on Fridays. Sometimes waiting over a week before they could get him in. My son was so happy to get his braces off only to be greatly disappointed with the work. His teeth are straight. However, now he has a noticeable flare in his upper teeth which he did not have before. I was unhappy with the service of mainly the orthodontic assistants and inability to get appointments easily from the get go and had tried to switch him to another orthodontist early on in the treatment but was unable to do so. The new orthodontist did not want to do any work on someone who already started treatment Needless to say, I did not send my second child to this office. She instead went to Dr. Thatcher almost 2 years after my son started his treatment. She finished her orthodontic treatment before my son, granted, her case was much easier, with fantastic results constantly receiving compliments from everyone on her beautiful teeth. We plan to consult with Dr. Thatcher to see if she can correct my son's flared upper teeth. It's disappointing to have to now spend money and time on two orthodontic treatment rounds.

I ended up postponing the major work for a variety of reasons. I then called the office in November regarding the insurance plans they accepted as I was going through open enrollment options with my retirement plan. I left a message. No one called me back. I then sent an email through their website, explaining that I had contacted them regarding insurance but they never returned my call and now my open enrollment had closed . I expressed concern with their lack of follow-up. I never received a response to the email either. While Dr. Kim may be a proficient dentist, the office response to inquiries is poor. There are many highly recommended dentists in the Santa Barbara area...thankfully.

Dr. Munoz is my hero!…read more I was visiting Santa Barbara for a few days, and late afternoon on a Friday, a cap on my front tooth came off. I'd had it for more than 20 years, so of course, it had to come off when I was out of town. After looking up dentists who were open (with good reviews!), I called Kendall, Rohde & Associates, and was informed I could come in. Dr. Munoz could sense that certain things bothered me (e.g. the sound of some devices), so she'd suggested I put in headphones as a distraction. I am so grateful to Dr. Munoz and the team for accommodating me on such short notice and for fixing my front tooth! It's not a fun process, people, yet necessary. Dr. Jenkins has a wonderful bedside manner, and his top-tier assistant, Miriam, was gentle, encouraging, and skilled. Three days later, the temporary crown popped off! Damn! I immediately called Johnson Family Dental, Goleta. They told me to come on in, which I did. Miriam took great care prepping my molar stub and re-gluing the temporary crown. I get my permanent crown in two weeks:) I couldn't be happier with the TLC I've received from Johnson Family Dental, Goleta, CA.
