View of tge pool, which tge kids loved.

Summary: Outstanding! We spent two weeks at spot 27 ending July 6 and loved it. PROS: Responsive staff. Our waste dump pipe clogged up. Wayne was on top of it immediately. Babbling brook. We slept until 9:30 almost every morning , thanks to calmng effect of the babling brook 10 feet from our RV. Family atmosphere Over the 4th of July weekend, the campground had many kids of my children's ages: 8, 10 and 15. The hosts sponsored many games and activities for the kids. The campers were all friendly. CONS: Flooding. Our site was the most prone to flooding. It flooded with 12 inches of water overflowing from the creek. We had to move to another site. This area of the country seems to channel rain storm systems because, in addition to the flood, about half the time we had mud in our site due to frequent thunderstorms. If I had to plan this trip again, I would plan for the dryer months of July and August. As a short-term solution, the hosts could mitigate the flooding by pileing up more and larger stones at the flood-prone sites. The final solution would be to have an engineer survey the whole campground and design remedies that would resolve the flooding permanently. WiFi Intermittent The WiFi disconnected about every 10 minutes. It almost seemed to be programmed to give a 10 minute timeout to each WiFi user. This was quite annoying. I would rather see it slow down vs disconnecting the user. When I ran Speed Test, it measures 800kbps download and 60kbps upload (poor).

My wife & I had tent camped here a few times & stayed in a cabin once well over a decade ago, and it lived up to and surpassed the fond memories! Everyone we encountered form the owners/staff to the other campers was really friendly. The cabin was spacious, clean, And incredibly cozy. We had a really nice warm welcoming basket with some treats & a note. I absolutely loved the view out of this cabin. All the amenities! The dog park was fantastic to let our girl run around. We all had fun in the game room, especially with the air hockey table and the ring game on the wall. The kids loved the pool, the Gaga Ball pit, & the hot tub. My son & I played the giant chess game. It was great to buy firewood right on site, the store is stocked up on everything you might forget, and the ice cream hit the spot! We did a lot of cooking over the campfire, but breakfast was great with the oven/stovetop and provided pots/pans/etc. We hope to be back soon & often! Came here to review & found my OLD one from March 24, 2013! (Full text below.) We've been to this campground a few times for tent camping over the summer, and we just stayed in a cabin for the first time this past weekend. We stayed in the Allegheny cabin, and it was awesome. Gambling that the first weekend in Spring would be good weather, we lost. The ground was snow-covered, but it certainly didn't put a damper on the weekend. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, warm, and incredibly clean. The kitchen area was well stocked with an assortment of cookware and utensils, and there was a great grill & fire ring outside. We made great use of the fire ring to make s'mores even though it was quite cold! The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly, and be on the lookout for one of the camp cats, Oliver, if you'd like to make a new furry friend!

We used the hot tub every day. Small oven, stove, fridge. Heater, gas fireplace, air conditioner and fire pit. We cooked at home and hiked or biked during the day. Jon the manager was super nice and replaced a chair we broke same day. He also apologized for not returning my call for 15 minutes and gave us some free firewood to make up for the minor inconvenience. I liked having a shower and bathroom in our cabin, but we did use the key to get into the shower house, which was clean and stocked. Nice place!

Got a cancelation email 24 hours before the reservation with explination of the non-refund. Called to see if we could explain how things went to see if they'd make it right. Started out very calm and professional, but after being told we didn't make that call to cancel (even after offering to shown them the phone records,) we were told "I'm not going to argue with you about this, call KOA if you want!" I did call KOA to report them for not upholding the KOA refund policy by the way. In the end they decided that their incompetent communications were justification to abuse the KOA refund policy and keep our deposit. If this is how they treat their guests I'm really glad we canceled even if they did keep our deposit. We love KOAs, but not this one.

The campgrounds I had been to before here did not have nice wooded spots, you were just out in the open. Oil Creek is nothing like those! The roads to get to this location are very rural, and you travel back into the woods. I was so happy pulling in here and so excited to finally camp in a wooded area. We checked in at the office and from the start all the staff were so nice and helpful! Our site was a pull through site so it was pretty humongous for a little tent. Who wouldn't appreciate that though? All the sites were very level and almost all the tent sites were surrounded by trees. I was very happy for our site! There are several bathrooms that have the step to flush toilets, and a shower house. They were clean for a Campground, not the best, however I will take that for the besides sites and area any day! Also on the Campground is a fun disc golf course. It is very short, but it is a fun activity! They also have a fishing pond, pool, playgrounds and a game room. THE BEST PART THOUGH, are the ALPACAS! Who doesn't love their sweet, soft, cute faces?! I was so happy to camp with some alpacas!! I can only imagine how excited a kid would be lol! I love this Campground! I can't wait to come back here and enjoy every bit of this amazing place!

The fire tower is an absolute must, and although there are trails to take to reach the fire tower, I love the drive through the forest, the best. If you're the hiking type, there are 52 miles of trails to explore. If you prefer spending a day on the water, you can go swimming in the Clarion River, as well as rent kayaks, canoes, and river tubes. It's not hard to find a good spot to fish, and in the winter you can also enjoy cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, and ice-skating. In my case, Cook Forest is just a couple of hours away - a day trip isn't out of the question. Still, it's so much nicer to spend an entire weekend in this beautiful place. Fortunately, that's pretty easy to do! Campgrounds and log cabins alike are available within the park. The cabins are very popular, but have no fear: there are hotels within driving distance of the park as well. Do keep in mind that cell service is not guaranteed here; this is totally OK in my book, but it does mean that having a rough idea of where you'll be driving is essential. Grab a map or write down some directions from Google Maps - then go forth and enjoy your time in this beautiful place!
