I'm a 7 handicap and I played yesterday and this golf course could be great except…read more.. First the good: Greens are wonderful, lots of curves, smooth, perfect grass and just the right speed. Fairways are generally nice, most holes are dogleg and set up for a nice challenge. Driving range is a bit short and I think they are using low flight balls but it is fine. Pace of play on a Sunday morning was very good. The bad: The bunkers are terrible! They look like they haven't been maintained in months and with the Covid no rakes policy (which every golf course is doing and I totally understand) they are simply a mess. Every other golf course I play, has the maintenance staff rake/maintain the bunkers frequently so even though the golfers aren't able to rake them, at least at the start of the day, they are good. Some of the bunkers have very little sand them them and it is just hard packed dirt. It makes getting out of them cleanly extremely difficult. Flying the ball 50 yards over the green is the norm when you use a normal, golf sand swing If you get in a bunker, especially on the back nine, you might as well use your putter and hope. I'm an excellent bunker player and was really at a loss. I can't imagine how a person who isn't comfortable in bunkers would feel. I know it added strokes to my round and that is very frustrating when everything else is really good. For a golf course in this price range, having bunkers in this condition is embarrassing. It doesn't cost them anything to have a maintenance person rake them with a machine regularly to try and fluff them back up, and considering how many there are on the golf course, you are very likely to get in a bunker while playing your round. I know this feels like a small thing, and some would say "Just don't get in the bunkers" but that isn't realistic and it is so easily corrected. This could be a gem in the south end, instead it is frustrating and score inflating experience.

The pros about meadow park, and the reason I gave it four stars, are the amenities and the price…read more They have a great driving range and the largest amount of practice putting greens of any course I've been to. The price to play is the cheapest that I've seen anywhere in the state of Washington. So between those two things meadow park is a great place to come and practice your game. The cons of meadow park is that, since it is a publicly operated course and the price is so low it gets very crowded. You will absolutely never be anywhere in meadow park and not be able to see another group, likely several. Since it has such high traffic the course is a little rough through so much hard use. All that being said, this is a great place to play if you want to come practice. I intend to return often to hit the par 3, the driving range, or work through 18 holes. I just won't choose meadow park if I'm trying to have a fun/ relaxing golf outing with friends.

But my partner and I signed up for nighttime Glo Golf and it did not disappoint. I was worried we were late for our tee time so I was relieved to hear that this was a leisurely event. We checked in and were provided glow-in-the dark golf balls and glow necklaces/bracelets, a map, and a quick rundown. There are hand warmers and other supplies for sale in the pro shop. You can bring your own golf clubs or they have some available to rent. It is ideal if you notify them ahead of time if you need to rent. We were encouraged to head to the bar to redeem our free drinks before starting, since the bar would be closed by the time, we finished our 9 holes. Foleys on the Green is casual and vibes are divey. We got our drinks, then went out to the tent to sign our waivers and get started. The staff were all kind, down to earth, and friendly. Everyone we met explained everything clearly and helped direct us to where we needed to go. Glo golf is fun! No real experience is needed. The golf ball is extremely easy to see in the dark. The only issue we encountered was that the lights from the driving range were sometimes pretty blinding. Keep in mind there are other guests ahead of you on the course and others behind you. We were following this group of people who were slower, and we had a skilled pair after us, so I felt that we were caught waiting, and the group after us were waiting doubly for them and then for us. As mentioned, they have a driving range. They also have a putting practice area. Would love to come again.

Let me just add this place is not trashy at all so don't think I added that comment hinting it may happen. Moving on to pricing. They offer a military discount, I think I paid like 6 or 7$ a person for a game that lasted about 2 hours, that speaks for itself. Totally worth it and again cheap fun. The employees are always very nice too. We like them guys, so don't go in and be a dick. They also have a ton of options for snack foods and drinks you can purchase. The course, well it's amazing or I wouldn't be leaving a 5 star review. Seriously though it's huge!!!!!!!!!!!! They have a ton of different options and two different courses. The one on the left is hard, on the right is the easy course. I have done both and found them equally fun. I personally like the harder one cause it last longer but the easy one looks super cute so I tried it too. You do have to pay for each course they are not both included in the price I gave you. You do get a little score card, which I love! I'm a super competitive person so it's important for me that everyone I'm with knows just how much I'm kicking their asses. Finally! When you go to leave you can tell them what place everyone won in. They give you these super cute little ribbons, again so you know who's the real winner. I would highly recommend this place for birthday party's or even a cute little date. I always have a good time when I come and will be back at it again this summer.

Today was my first visit after many years of not visiting. General vibe: It's fun for an hour or…read moreso; but the place is need of serious repairs. The grounds were neglected and in need of landscaping. The fixtures were crumbling and in need of paint. Water fixtures were empty or filled with filth. The turf had holes and stains, and was so worn in places that it caused the balls to veer off course. The balls bounced out of the holes half the time because of the plastic material used. Sand would be so much better!! The fencing around the golfing area does not keep the balls in so you could potentially have to run after it in the street. (Happened to us!!) We stopped keeping score after the 4th hole because it was such a struggle for everyone in our group to play so we just decided to make up our own rules.
