Putting area with new development in background right in front of clubhouse.

The course itself is decent, very plain and boring. Lots of elevation and tight fairways. I wasn't super impressed with it. The whole Course is pretty compressed and sometimes confusing on where to go. The clubhouse is outdated and old, along with the restaurant area. Practice area is poor, and heard they're getting rid of the carts as well. It's a little overpriced for what ya get. Probably won't play again, just was a boring course, nothing stands out or impresses you here that's forsure.

Good prices and a few challenging holes make this course an excellent deal. The fairways are very narrow, and the greens don't have a flat spot on them anywhere. Course was in very good shape and green were rolling pretty true. At $20 after 2pm, you wont find a better deal around for a course like this. Save your money and don't splurge on a power cart, this is a very easy course to walk. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Well maintained golf course with the wonderful attribute of having very little water. The first water hole pulls balls into it, the party 5 18th is only trouble with a long drive. Most of the challenge of the course comes from the narrow tree-lined fairways and variety of contours on the course, at times, below, above, sideways etc. On various slopes. We played midweek October and found the course easy to get a tee time. Fun Halloween decor added color. Staff Mike and Pam were friendly, Mike introduced as to his 2 year old pet squirrel and Pam served a quick lunch at the turn.

Very good Gold course, kinda hidden though, so you will most likely have to have your GPS unit going to get directions to it. The course itself is very well maintained, and the staff here are very friendly- plus the prices here you cant beat! Nice place to go golfing or hitting some balls at the range. The food offering's here are your typical food offerings, This place is a hidden Gem of Spanaway!

Not from the area, I did some research on golf courses that was around Tacoma and The Classic Golf Club caught my interest by its high slope rating. It was really a toss between this one and Lipoma Firs which is a little further south. This course seems difficult to maintain by the staff, that being said I found this course to be more difficult than the slope rating simply based on pin placement and found this to be more of a tournament course. Whats a tournament course you may ask? To me, a tournament course is the place you want to settle a score between parties and who happens to be under 120 wins. Beer and extra golf balls will help you get through the day and fortunately the very reasonably priced restaurant offering $6 Fosters beer will leave you happy. 1)Golf and practice facility I arrived here on May 12th, Thursday morning at 730am and there was 2 cars in the parking lot. One guy was at the driving range and there were a few maintenance guys working the course. This was strange to me because Im from L.A. and golf courses are usually packed but not here. Yeah, I know, but Im not in L.A. Still, its a frame of reference I use and have after playing golf courses in all major cities in this country. Here, however, the silence is serenity. No loud traffic and no people, apparently. There was someone in the golf shop, fortunately and I paid the walking rate of $39 and asked if there was a group I could join and he said "Yes but not until 0845. I guess golfers sleep in here too but the place would be busy by the time I would finish. The makeshift clubhouse reminds me of a modular home with rooms being added as needed with the restaurant and a meeting area attached. The pro shop is small but has efficient stock of golf merch with the usual gear and apparel. Exiting the pro shop and walking towards the first tee you will find a well maintained practice area featuring a large practice green and a driving range with grass tees that is in great shape. Also, there is a cover provided with grass mats, which are also in great shape, in case it rains which happens a lot. To the left of the practice area is the first tee. To the left of that is the 18th green, to the left of that is the 10th tee box and to the left of that is the 13th tee box. Now I like to think Ive played at least a 100 courses and Ive never seen that before in golf course design. Is that bad? I didn't think so, it helped because I was walking the course, something the designer took into consideration and showed with walking paths from the tee box to the fairway as well as clearings from the green to the next tee when needed. The condition of the course is another matter with tons of divots on fairways. Now in fantasy land, golfers would replace their divots but in reality they don't. Im guessing this course is privately owned and not run by a management company or is a municipal. I'm also guessing who ever owns this course, also runs it and is probably out working the course and is quite aware of the condition but does the best he/she can. So help them out and replace your damn divots you lazy bastards! That being said the course is well designed and a pleasure to play. Elevated tee boxes help bring an understanding in each hole with the exceptions of holes 14, 15 and 16. The roughs are easy to play out and you should be thankful for that because they are plenty of opportunities to lose your golf balls. But what really will drive up your score are the greens. The design is unconventional to say the least with pins that are difficult to get close to. You need to play smart, hit well with your wedges and have some good luck to score well. The sand in the bunkers are okay but could be better. However, courses like this only get so much income and needs to be affordable to attract your average golfer. The white, powdery stuff ain't cheap, so deal with it. 2)Restaurant Sammy is one of the three ladies that run the small eatery with the usual fare but a low cost compared to other golf courses. I always enjoyed a good patty melt myself and was not disappointed. And considering I was playing by myself, I felt in no hurry to enjoy lunch after playing nine. Sammy offered small talk which is always nice and talked about the weather and what not. 3)Conclusion I normally do a section of staff but Im running out of space so I'll just jump to the conclusion. Come here to play and have fun. You will not break 90, don't even try. Instead, bring a friend or loved one who enjoy your company. Appreciate your surroundings and play each hole with joy. I look forward to coming back next year and I hope people start showing up early so I can play with someone. GEEZ! People, wake up already!

But once she saw the quick and fun tutorial, she was all in--and ended up crushing it! Now she's begging to go back every day The setup is awesome for kids and adults alike, and it's way more interactive than I expected. The atmosphere was fun, the games were engaging, and best of all, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, active outing with the family. We'll definitely be back soon!

So definitely not what I thought it would be going in but golfing wasn't the primary purpose of coming here. We bought tickets to a drag queen brunch that was in one corner of the restaurant and had so much fun. All of the drag performers were great and the food was very good too. Some of the drag performers we have seen more than once and that was a motivator to go. Proceeds went to a nonprofit that helps LGBTQ youth and especially for the upcoming holiday season. We got some cocktails here too and they were very good and strong so one was really all we needed as we didn't want to get too loaded. The drag queen brunch is once a month at Stadium Golf so you will be able to see it again and wasn't a one time thing.

The price to play is the cheapest that I've seen anywhere in the state of Washington. So between those two things meadow park is a great place to come and practice your game. The cons of meadow park is that, since it is a publicly operated course and the price is so low it gets very crowded. You will absolutely never be anywhere in meadow park and not be able to see another group, likely several. Since it has such high traffic the course is a little rough through so much hard use. All that being said, this is a great place to play if you want to come practice. I intend to return often to hit the par 3, the driving range, or work through 18 holes. I just won't choose meadow park if I'm trying to have a fun/ relaxing golf outing with friends.

But my partner and I signed up for nighttime Glo Golf and it did not disappoint. I was worried we were late for our tee time so I was relieved to hear that this was a leisurely event. We checked in and were provided glow-in-the dark golf balls and glow necklaces/bracelets, a map, and a quick rundown. There are hand warmers and other supplies for sale in the pro shop. You can bring your own golf clubs or they have some available to rent. It is ideal if you notify them ahead of time if you need to rent. We were encouraged to head to the bar to redeem our free drinks before starting, since the bar would be closed by the time, we finished our 9 holes. Foleys on the Green is casual and vibes are divey. We got our drinks, then went out to the tent to sign our waivers and get started. The staff were all kind, down to earth, and friendly. Everyone we met explained everything clearly and helped direct us to where we needed to go. Glo golf is fun! No real experience is needed. The golf ball is extremely easy to see in the dark. The only issue we encountered was that the lights from the driving range were sometimes pretty blinding. Keep in mind there are other guests ahead of you on the course and others behind you. We were following this group of people who were slower, and we had a skilled pair after us, so I felt that we were caught waiting, and the group after us were waiting doubly for them and then for us. As mentioned, they have a driving range. They also have a putting practice area. Would love to come again.

Sadly not family friendly…read more I need to start by saying that I played this course several times as a younger, single man. At the time, it felt like a low stress, high value course. It was convenient and comfortable for new and established players alike. Facilities were average and service was curt, but not rude. I suppose it was fit for purpose, considering the price and location. As the weather has improved, I was looking forward to taking my wife and toddler out for a nice day on the course. We were told that no children under 5 were allowed on the course INCLUDING the putting green and driving range. I tried to explain that my little boy would just be riding along and observing, but it didn't matter. Apparently the same policy applies at Eagle's Pride, the Army's course in DuPont. This information is not listed on the MWR site, so there is no way to know that young kids are not allowed. If anyone at MWR sees this, please consider the following suggestions: 1) Have an F.A.Q. on the website that includes age restrictions. 2) Try to refocus on customer service. 3) Please have a recommendation ready for people golfing with family (Meadow Park is no more expensive and they are incredibly accommodating). This isn't meant to be wholly negative. The course is nice enough, the clubhouse is clean and well built, and the location is great for JBLM employees. There are just a few things they could do to dramatically improve the experience.

Military base course, so customer service kinda sucks. Friendly pro shop employee and beverage cart girl, but 7am tee times are the earliest in summer?
