I like Whirlpool! Its portfolio includes Whirlpool (obviously), JennAir, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, InSinkErator, and two I am not familiar with: Brastemp and Consul. I have the iconic KitchenAid stand mixer my sweet Momma gave me! I am not a huge baker, however, I've used it to make pastas, cakes, and anything and everything that needs to be mixed. It's a true kitchen power horse! The attachments available for the stand mixer are truly almost endless in varieties! I've kept it simple with the regular mixer "blades" the spiral dough hook, and the three piece steel accessory set. Do know you get spiralizer blades, sheet cutters, sausage stuffers, food processor attachments, grain mills, fruit/veggie strainers, shaved ice attachment, food grinder, ice cream maker, juicer, and more! I've had InSinkErator garbage disposals over the years without any problems at all! Our current garbage disposal is an InSinkErator. Hub sinstalled it with no problems whatsoever. Of note, the InSinkErator garbage disposals are the only garbage disposals invented, designed, and assembled in the U.S.A. A great reason to support InSinkErator! Our current side-by-side refrigerator is a Whirlpool "Gold." Yes, it broke once, and was rather pricy to fix; however, overall it's been a good refrigerator for many years. The ice maker crapped out, and with just two of us, who cares? I just make the old fashioned ice cubes. We aren't big ice cold drinks people anyway. As a general contractor and real estate developer, our company has purchased thousands of appliances from Whirlpool over the years. Unfortunately, our recent experience with their warranty service has been extremely disappointing. We currently have a refrigerator at one of our properties that is still within the warranty period but has stopped working. Whirlpool sent out one of their authorized service providers multiple times to repair the unit, but the issue has still not been fixed. To make matters worse, the service provider has stopped returning our calls entirely. When we attempt to contact Whirlpool directly, the experience has been just as frustrating. We are frequently placed on hold for long periods (often close to an hour), only to be transferred to another representative and placed back on hold again. For a company that sells appliances at this scale and markets strong customer support, this level of service is extremely disappointing. We ordered a Whirlpool dishwasher from Madison, WI, Menards on 11/2/2025, and were told we would receive the dishwasher as early as 11/8/2025. When we called to set up the appointment for installation, we were told we had to wait until our fridge was in stock before they would deliver and install. On 12/31/2025, a team came out to deliver both. As soon as they saw that our dishwasher was hard-wired into our home, they told us they were unable to install the dishwasher. The dishwasher is on its own breaker and can be turned off, making sure that electricity is not flowing to it. They let us know if they were unable to hard-wire the dishwasher, and even if they could, it would have voided the manufacturer's warranty. They told us we needed to have an electrician come out and put in an outlet before they could install the dishwasher. They took the dishwasher back with them. We spent $300, for an electrician to come out and put in a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) for the next time the dishwasher was delivered. They let us know we would receive a call about rescheduling delivery. We never received a call. After a couple of days, we called to make an appointment to have it Dishwasher install and remove the old one. 1/14/2026, when they came out to deliver the Whirlpool dishwasher to install it, they did not have the dishwasher on the truck. They had to hunt it down at the distribution center. We were told we would get another call to set up another appointment for them to come back once again. We were also told by the new team that came out that the first team should have installed the dishwasher, even with the direct wiring, and that we did not have an outlet put in. read more

Purchased this Whirlpool Dishwasher and over the next 3 weeks caused more damage to my flooring due to a small leak. Plumber came back to inspect and showed me the flaw in the tub of the dishwasher. A crack that occurred when the stainless was made. This unit leaked from the point it left the factory (Not USA) Whirlpool sent tech who said he cannot believe they want to fix this and said they should have sent you a new one for the aggravation. He came back two weeks later and I had to have my plumber install it. $300 more for this dishwasher. Whirlpool, you need to do better! I own a property management company with many many units. I've had ongoing issues with my Whirlpool stove since the time it was installed. While it was under warranty, multiple service calls were made and several parts were replaced--at one point it felt like most of the stove had been rebuilt rather than replaced. Unfortunately, the problems never fully went away. Now that the warranty has expired, the grates have cracked under normal, everyday use. This has made the stove unsafe, as I cannot place a large pot on it without concern that the grates could collapse and cause injury. I did reach out to Whirlpool, and although I was asked to call to discuss my concerns, the only response I received was that the unit was out of warranty. My follow-up email was never answered. I understand warranties have limits, but this appears to be a durability and safety issue--not normal wear and tear. Based on my experience, I'm very disappointed in both the product and the customer service. I would appreciate someone taking another look at this. read more

Whirlpool dryer delivered in Dec. 2025. Stopped drying in April. Contacted Whirlpool, after two days to get through the phone lines. Apparently, WP contracts with repair agencies that have really bad reviews... "incompetence" seems to be a common theme amongst the reviews. Ugh. Furthermore, am informed from WP Warranty that IF any parts needed, they have to be ordered from WP, as part of the warranty, which can take 7-10 days for delivery. This means the repairperson has to make the initial visit, order the part, wait for delivery, then return with the part. With service calls at $125/per visit, this is extremely inefficient and costly. Whirlpool is a hugely mismanaged corporation. What a disappointment. Lesson learned. I have spent hours on the phone waiting for a Whirlpool Customer Service Representative. When they answer, they pretend they cannot hear you and then hang up. You have to call them back and sit on the phone for another hour. The BBB currently has Whirlpool rated A+ because they are closing the complaints without acknowledging the customer's dissatisfaction and unresolved issue. Worst Customer Service! I purchased a 36-Inch Standard Depth Side-By-Side Refrigerator With TruCool System, Model WRSF5536RV. I purchased it online through their website with a 5-year D+G Extended Service Plan. I also had haul away service included in my purchase. They hired J.B. Hunt to deliver the refrigerator. It was delivered on March 11, 2026. They had to remove the doors from the old refrigerator to get it out the front door. When they were bringing in the new refrigerator, I told them they would have to remove the doors for that too. The driver told me that it took too much time, so they placed cardboard on both sides of the doorway and forced the refrigerator through, scratching both the freezer and refrigerator doors. They told me I could either accept the refrigerator, and Whirlpool would replace it or I could refuse to accept it. I did not have a refrigerator, so I chose to keep it and report the damage to Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool on March 13, 2026. I tried chatting online but did not get anywhere with the Bot or agents. So I called. I was transferred multiple times, I was disconnected and all in all, I was on the phone from 9: 13 am - 11:00 am CT. At the end of all that, I was told they would replace the doors not the refrigerator. They put in a service request with an appliance repair company of whom the lady at the office was extremely rude. I had asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told one would call me back within 4 hours, it took 4 days. The doors arrived April 7, 2026 via FedEX to my house. I scheduled a technician with the repair company for April 13, 2026. The technician arrived and unpacked the doors from their original packaging. The new refrigerator door has a scratch on it and the new freezer door is dented. The technician said he would order another set of doors. I asked if he was taking the set of doors with him and he said no, he had no room and I would have to dispose of them. I want to be very clear: the only person who has been nice, professional, and helpful in this entire process has been the repair technician. I called Whirlpool again to confirm that they did not want the doors back and how they would like to dispose of them. "Service Main for repairs" said that I could dispose of them anyway I wanted to. I told her that my trash company does not pick up these items and that I would have to call a private company to pick them up at my expense. I was just told, "I'm sorry to hear that." Then I said, "this is all you have to say for all this." I told her I was going to find any platform possible to write bad reviews about your customer service and requested to speak to a supervisor. She said, well I don't know what else to do for you, I said Whirlpool can take this refrigerator back and give me a full refund and she said Whirlpool would not do that. I not only have to dispose of these doors but the next ones they send as well. Between a new Whirlpool refrigerator and a new KitchenAid dishwasher, I spent over $4237.08 in March including the extended 5-year warranty on both products. I am so disappointed with the level of customer care and I have only had them for less than 2 months. I cannot believe that I have had this refrigerator for less than a month and I have to spend money to dispose of an item they will not take back when I spent $369.95 on an extended service plan. read more

My experience ordering a refrigerator directly from Whirlpool Corporation has been unacceptable from start to finish. The order was placed on January 5, 2026, with an initial delivery date of January 15. Due to issues, no delivery occurred. It was rescheduled for February 3, but the refrigerator arrived visibly damaged and had to be rejected. I was then assured it would be delivered February 12 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. I waited during the entire window -- no delivery. After sitting on hold for 30 minutes, I was told the delivery had never actually been pushed through to J.B. Hunt Transport Services for scheduling. I was promised a follow-up call the next day. That call never came. When I called again on February 16, I was told delivery was now pushed out another three weeks to March 3. I have missed work on three separate occasions waiting for deliveries that either failed or never existed. My household has now been without a refrigerator for nearly two months. The lack of coordination, communication, and accountability has been staggering. Customer service offered a $188 credit. The executive office later contacted me and offered an additional $150 check. While that may sound reasonable on paper, it does not come close to compensating for the time lost, income missed, and extended hardship caused by these repeated failures. I purchased a refrigerator that was delivered on October 31, 2025. I've had an issue with the door flap not closing properly since I received the appliance. I have had authorized whirlpool technicians to my house five times since the beginning of December. I have to leave work for every appointment. Each appointment is scheduled 7-10 days out. The issue is still not fixed. Now I have to have a technician come out for a sixth time to add washers to the bottom of the door to rig it in an attempt to repair the issue. I would give this brand a negative review if I could. I purchased a new washer in March of 2025. Before it was delivered, we had a flood and installation had to be delayed by one month. When it was put in, it immediately didn't work. The retailer I purchased it from replaced it for me as a courtesy (their policy is within 48 hours for appliances). The replacement started malfunctioning within the first couple of weeks. Between May of 2025 and today (4/20/26)- Maytag has sent a third-party service provider to my house no less than 10 times to "fix" the washer. At their last visit on 3/16 the technician said "if this happens again call Whirlpool back and tell them we don't even want to be called again, its a waste of time. This machine needs to be replaced." The machine broke again on Friday 4/17. I call whirlpool and they tell me that, despite 10+ service calls on an almost monthly basis for the exact same issue, despite having had every part of my washer except the actual drum replaced, and despite that the last service was 32 days prior to it breaking AGAIN... they won't replace it without ANOTHER service call by the third party service provider because their "policy" states I have to have had the machine serviced within the last 30 days because "since it's been more than 30 days it may be something different." It's never been anything different in the last year. Not once. It's always the exact same issue. But nope, no exceptions to the policy. And the best part... I have to pay for this service visit because my machine is now over a year old. It's precisely 12 days over the 1 year mark. And I purchased an extended service plan when I bought it. I expressed my concern that this exact thing would happen when they fixed the machine last month... I said, it's going to be a year old soon... what happens if this time doesn't fix it just like all the other times. I was assured that because this is an issue I've had before, it would still be covered. Looks like that was a bold faced lie. Never again. I will never again buy a Whirlpool anything. Their appliances are crap, their customer service is non-existent and they send a third party to service it but then don't listen when the third party says it can't be repaired. This letter is a complaint against Whirlpool and against Flamingo Appliance Service, the Miami-based repair company that Whirlpool outsources to take care of the repair needs of Whirlpool appliance owners located in the South Florida area. My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool stove in 2024 (Model: WFE535S0LS0 and it is still under warranty. We have owned and used numerous gas and electric stoves in over the last 31 years of being married and we have NEVER encountered a worse stove than the brand Whirlpool makes. The Whirlpool stove we have is dangerous. As we reported to Whirlpool, the stove's left front burner heats hotter than the right side front burner. This over heating resulted in a kitchen fire that required our calling the Plantation (Florida) Fire Department for the first time in our lives. Luckily, we always keep an updated home fire extinguisher on hand in our home. We have NEVER had a kitchen fire in all our lives. The kitchen fire took place not long after we purchased the Whirlpool stove and were cooking a dish on that left front burner. The two tablespoons of cooking oil that I had in the wok literally burst into flames before my eyes and shot up, requiring us to replace some of our new cabinets. This was due to the front left burner heating up hotter than the front right burner. We called the Plantation Fire Department to deal with the smoke and to make sure everything was safe. We made an appointment with Flamingo Appliance and a service person arrived at our home on Monday morning, December 23, 2024. The technician came out at 11 am and examined the stove, claiming that the front burner operated properly. We told the technician that cannot be the case because both my wife and I have trouble with the front burner and now only use it to boil water as a safety measure. The technician would not let me put two small pots of water to boil on the two front burners to prove our case. Instead, he relied on some electronic gizmo that looked like a no touch thermometer. We told him we had NEVER had a problem with a stove, till we purchased Whirlpool. After much back and forth, the technician left the house to take a call -- he claimed he had to take it outside because "his cell phone power was low." When he returned from his van/ truck he told me his company said that I was at fault for the fire, that there was nothing wrong with the stove, and that they would make no repairs, not even on the back panel. I am disgusted how Whirlpool and Flamingo Appliance Service would put the health, lives and property of its customers in jeopardy in order to save a few dollars. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Quality Product and Even Worse Customer Service I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer Model # WED4815EW Serial #: M4792828 set just a year and a half ago 2024. We hardly even used the dryer, yet it started making loud squeaky noises during operation. When we contacted Whirlpool, they told us the one-year manufacturer warranty had already expired and refused to help. We had to hire a handyman to repair it out-of-pocket. Unfortunately, just a few months later, the same issue happened again. I called Whirlpool's service line once more and I explained that we had owned a previous dryer for over a decade without any problems, but this new Whirlpool dryer started failing after limited use. It's clearly a case of poor manufacturing quality. I even asked to speak with a supervisor, hoping for a better resolution, but she was even more dismissive--and ended the call abruptly. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with an appliance company. I strongly caution others to think twice before purchasing Whirlpool products. Recently ordered an electric range and had paid for the delivery/install. The guys showed up and after seeing had no tools realized the federally mandated anti-tip bracket couldn't be installed. When I asked them the guys spoke no English and couldn't read the first page of the manual that shows it as a danger leading to severe injury, possibly worse. They had to leave while I was holding for customer service and am still dealing with it. My parents Whirlpool delivered a year ago is missing it as well and my Mom says it almost tipped a few months back, didn't know why. Sears had to pay out over $500 million for this exact problem 20 years ago. I had a Whirlpool Refrigetator for 25 years. Felt it was time to retire is so I bought a whirlpool 36" 3 door. THANK GOD for youtube. The "owners manual" is an absolute farce. Looks like its made on a 1980 xerox copier. Tells you how set it up, hook up the water time and plug it in. That. is. it. No or limited info on how to use the control panel. No "trouble shooting". Day one, "cooling off" was blinking on the display. No clue what that means nor is there ANYTHING in the manual. Youtube saved the day. I learned how to turn cooling back on. NO CLUE how is got turned off to start with. Storage: The ice maker takes a ton of room on the left side. We had more storage in our 25 year old fridge. The temperature control for the fridge section has started to take very long to cool down, to where food will spoil. Unfortunately, we didn't try using the oven component until Thursday, with which the oven would not preheat when we set the oven to Bake. It's a pretty self explanatory model , so setting it up wasn't the problem, it was faulty. I call Whirlpool that day and they try to troubleshoot, however can't figure it out over the phone. The technician scheduled a repair tech to come take a look at it a few days later the following Tuesday, today. The technician takes a look at the Oven, says it has a faulty controller, that the controllers are on back order and that we do not have a working oven until then. I do not recommend WP at all, spending $800 for nothing just really pisses me off-Might as well go camping. Would not recommend at all. read more

Dealing with this company's repair services has been an exercise in frustration. Had I known about their subpar customer service, I would not have made the purchase. Regrettably, I have never experienced such incompetence in customer support. I purchased a new refrigerator, and upon installation, I found damage to the door. I promptly contacted the company, only to be told that their warranty is limited to 30 days. This is unacceptable, particularly given that the product was still in its original packaging with plastic covers. I am extremely disappointed with their handling of this issue.stay away from Whirlpool if you have a problem with your merchandise, they are not helpful at all the company they hire to come out to fix the product are very rude and nasty. They send someone here to check my dishwasher. Also had a damage inside the door. The person came in and took pictures and got quant me up and said they approved my coming with the Door next week. He came to the house with the door as he unpacked the door to put it on he told me oh boy this one's damaged too. I have to order you a new one when the new one came in. The unit stopped cooling after just 60 days when a technician came out we were told this is a common factory issue where the Freon leaks from the fitting unfortunately I did not read reviews before purchasing this product. Whirlpool has done nothing to help resolve the issue. this is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I would never buy a Whirlpool, thier products suck, and they waste people time I bought a House last year 2024 and the washer came with the house I called to have warranty work done because the washer was stuck in drain mode, They said they could not just send me the replacement part and they had a repair company come to verify, I made an appointment and took a day off work. Unbeknownst to me the appointment was canceled no messages no calls nothing Day of appointment my scheduled time came and passed, I called whirpool and ask what happened? We purchased all KitchenAid appliances and the Frig and Oven are Garbage (with all types of issues), both have issues that Whirpool know about and they will not repair or fix...Home Depot will not do anything either, they tell you to go to Whirlpool....I will never buy anything from Home Depot or Whirlpool again...This is a Class Action lawsuit, Many thousands of people have given Whirpool a rating of "1" so be careful....This is not how business should be conducted.... read more
