Ronnie, who did the repair, was skilled and professional and easy to work with. He readily diagnosed the problem and managed to work around some unexpected issues that were due to a faulty installation many years ago. The cost was perhaps a bit above what I might have expected, but the cost of just about everything has gone up in recent years so perhaps my expectation was unrealistic. And I appreciated that I was not asked to pay more than the original estimate notwithstanding the unexpected added time it took to overcome the issues mentioned above. Finally, considering the overall quality of the work done I consider what I paid represented good value. I will definitely consider Mr. Appliance for any future appliance repairs.

The protection plan does not have live people you can speak with, only a website with a chat function. I have a claim with an assigned technician out of Kalamazoo who has canceled/rescheduled three times now. I have called to speak to someone at this store 5 times this morning. The first time they put me on an eternal hold. I called back and asked for a manager, was transferred, and hung up on twice. The fourth time I called it rang and rang and the line went dead. The fifth time I was told the manager was busy and it would be over an hour wait time to get help. I asked for the district manager information and was told "I'm just a cashier answering the phone, I don't know who that is. I wouldn't know where to find that"... I called Lowes customer service and they said they don't have manager info, I have to call the local store to find out. I called Lowes corporate twice, was connected to someone in India both times, and both of those people hung up on me. DO NOT BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN FROM LOWES!! It's a total scam. I will not be purchasing ANYTHING from Lowes in the future.

American Home Shield, our home warranty company, had Diamond come and service our dryer last week…read moreafter it suddenly stopped working. I called to arrange for an appointment on Friday afternoon and they were able to schedule us for Monday morning, so that was not only very lucky, but also super convenient. I received a confirmation email and phone call about the appointment on Friday from Diamond. On Monday I was expecting Diamond between 11 am and 2 pm and around 12:30 (I think) I received a phone call letting me know that Jimmy (I believe this was his name) would be arriving in about 20 minutes. Excellent. Jimmy arrived right on time and took our dryer apart, cleaned the inside back panel of 15 years of lint (TIP: unscrew the back panel of your dryer and check for lint leaks from your dryer hose to prevent unwanted fires) and made a really good suggestion about running an extension to our dryer vent under our deck and then told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dryer, but the outlet or fuse box was damaged. Nuts. The dryer had to be ruled out, so this visit was helpful and Diamond was professional and polite. While Jimmy put the dryer back together we had a nice chat about new appliance technology and then he made suggestions about what we should do next to fix the electrical problem. We ended up hiring a family friend to replace the outlet and fuse box (thanks for the tip Jimmy!) and BOOM the dryer started running again like a champ. We would hire Diamond again without hesitation. They were on time, helpful and professional. Even though our problem was not resolved, it was because it was beyond their scope of expertise - electrical work - and they did everything they possibly could to help us.

Then they told me it would be two weeks before they can get me back on the schedule. I said that I would think a call back should not have to wait that long. I was already 600 dollars deep so stuck with them. Two weeks later they come out again. It still does not fix the problem. They once again schedule me two weeks out. It once again did not fix it. Now I am about two months into this fix. I call them and at this point I want my money back. It is obvious they cannot fix it. They tell me the diagnostic fee and parts are not refundable. Rather than wait two more weeks I decided to just call Mr Appliance. They will be out tommorow.

As it turned out, the drain was plugged up, but during the evaluation of the washer, Mr. Keeter broke the panel on her Whirlpool duet washer. He promised to order a replacement. It has been more than a year, and I continue to call him for an update. Today, his assistant told me that he and all of his friends have either been in the hospital or died in the last year. He did promise to have Mr. Keeter call me back today. I will see.
