The gutters took a little longer to install but that was not their fault. The weather did not want to cooperate. The roofers and the gutter guys did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. After a hail storm in August, I noticed extensive shingle particles in my downspouts. In September, I started a claim with my insurance company. They sent an "independent" inspector (code word for crap) to inspect and provide an estimate. I was shocked at how minimal the inspection and repair estimate was. They essentially were expecting me to do "spot repairs" after extensive hail damage. My neighbors had their roof replaced in mid-Summer by Expert Exteriors and were very happy with the results. I called Expert and Billy came by and performed a very thorough inspection, documenting damage with photos, something the "independent" contractor didn't even bother to do. Billy also discovered I had a "double roof" (second set of shingles nailed to first layer, a BIG code violation in Colorado) which occurred before I purchased the house about five years ago. I intend to have some strong words with the home inspection service I hired during purchase (they owe my some answers!). I also requested inspections from two other companies in Loveland, Gold Roofing and Pride Roofing. Not only did they miss the double roof, but said my roof had minimal damage that was already documented via photos. I am NOT impressed by their aloof attitude and lack of attention to detail and will tell everyone I know about my experiences with them. Billy and Expert Exteriors went to bat with for me with my insurance company. Finally, after significant wrangling, my insurance honored their part of the policy and approved for a whole roof replacement. Expert Exteriors completed the job in one day, and cleaned up completely afterwards. I am very happy with Billy and Expert Exteriors and heartily recommend them as a candidate for your next roof replacement.

Jeff was punctual, helpful, thorough, and respectful of our property. Jeff spent a few hours removing cobwebs/dust from the corners of our garage, power washing the garage, cleaning storage cabinets appropriately, and hand drying the cabinets with towels. He was thorough to squeegee our garage as well as remove excess water from our driveway to ensure that we didn't end up with ice inside or outside from the winter temperatures. They had to return multiple times to repair their mistakes such as putting a 6' gate on an 8' fence (twice) and using the wrong attachment ties which snapped in normal winds (30 mph). They did not return to repair a broken gate post - instead they made up a wild story about elk trying to leap over the fence - even though elk were still in the high country. The trees were planted without soil amendments in tiny holes with no soil blending - all against standard approaches, especially in coarse soil. We've had to repair the fence multiple times and are now in the process of replacing part of it - and it is just a year old. We do not recommend hiring them for installation of elk fence or planting trees.

The owner, Matthew, is a former roofer and he also checked the roof, which he says is in good condition. With leaks you don't know until the next storm whether it is really fixed, but I was impressed with the thorough inspection job they did. I contacted them through Yelp's Request a Quote feature. They called back the same morning and came to inspect the job at Noon, and did the work ten days later, so they provide very speedy service.

I hired Discovery Concrete to pour 3 slabs of concrete. It's the sloppiest job I have ever seen,…read moreand it's obvious they simply didn't care about the shape or placement of the pads. I paid my landscape architect to spraypaint lines and drive stakes indicating the boarders for the pads. Wasted money - the lines were ignored. My basketball court was supposed to be 17 by 25 feet, and parallel to my fence. What I got was 18 feet on one end, 16' 9" on the other. The sides were 25' 5" and 26 feet. None of the corners are 90 degrees. The hot tub pad was not squared to the house so I paid my landscaping contractor fill in gaps. They buried a utility cable I had specifically requested not be buried. I had planned to paint boundaries, a key and foul line on my basketball court, but with such a crooked pad, the only thing I can think to paint now would be a giant clown face, so people might be able to laugh at it. It will be a while before I can. So if you are still tempted to hire Discovery Concrete after reading this review, well, that's on you.
