This review is solely on the waxing. The shop is clean and the staff is super nice. However I have 3 spots that my skin was torn off that look awful. In all my years of being waxed I have never had damage done to my skin that created an actual scab that looks horrible. read more

I absolutely love Athena. My eyes are super sensitive. We started with a lash lift and 2 years later I've graduated to classic lashes. I went to so many places before Athena and my lids would always end up sensitive and hurt after a few days. I don't know what Athena does but nothing has been uncomfortable, my eyes don't sting and my lids don't hurt at all. read more

This is an absolute amazing salon . The staff were very knowledgeable. My lash artist did such a beautiful job . I was very impressed. I have been wanting to get eyelash extensions for the longest time but was very worried on where to go because the horror stories I have heard . Would definitely recommend 10/10. I made appt & paid in advance 4 eyelash ext. Went appt w/Shyrome. The lashes were done nicely but my own lashes had been cut off. I spk to owner Mona Lisa & she sd had video & that didnt happen! I went in & asked to see video she REFUSED to show me. I said i was unhappy with what happened & requested a refund of my money & she told me i was extorting her!! This place is scandalous & i would never go there again!!!!! read more

Athena is amazing! She was so professional and gentle, the results were incredible. It was my first time getting a Brazilian and leg wax. I was nervous but Athena made me feel very comfortable. First, I called ahead to ask about the price for a service I wanted, and they gave me one price over the phone. But as soon as I got there, suddenly it was a different price. I don't know what they were trying to pull, but why give false information over the phone and then expect me to pay more in person? Very unprofessional. That was the first red flag. Anyway, she still starts doing the service, and once we go to the back, I notice she's doing something I've literally never seen before. I kept communicating with her like, "Hey, I specifically asked for a wax, nothing else." But she kept saying, "Oh no, this is how we do it," so I'm trying to trust her and give her the benefit of the doubt. After the service, I honestly still wasn't happy. And it's not like I stayed quiet either, I was communicating the whole time and telling her exactly what I was uncomfortable with. But it felt like she wasn't even trying to hear me out because she would just start speaking in her language instead. To me, it came off like, "I'm not listening to you, I'm just gonna say whatever I want," knowing I couldn't understand anything being said. Then when it was time to pay, she starts making fun of me to her coworker. I could tell by the energy and the laughing that it was about how I was paying because I used some change and the rest on my card. Like... you're still getting paid regardless, so what's funny? I even spoke up about that too and said there was no reason to make fun of it. Then she started acting like, "Oh no no no," trying to play it off like I didn't know what was going on. Overall, I will never spend another dime at this place. The environment was rude, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. They don't listen to what you ask for, talk about you right in front of your face in another language, and clearly don't care about customer service at all. If that's the type of vibe you like being around, then this is the perfect place for you.

She is up on all the Covid -19 guidelines, she's professional, gave me the best recommendations on how to keep my lashes from falling out. When I was done with my "VOLUME " fill lashes. They didn't even compare to my other lashes. They were Full, long, feathery and light!! So light I couldn't tell they were on. First of all, my lash artist, Shyrome, is fantastic! She does such a good job on my lashes. I don't even worry about them falling out. She listens to the way I want them done, and does them perfectly. She does not rush through the process and takes her time to make sure her work is done well she is also gentle and sometimes I almost fall asleep Along with my great lash artist, I have to say that the salon itself is a work of art. It's absolutely beautiful, and makes you feel like you're really doing something special for yourself. It's a treat to be able to go to the Whipped Studio's and you can't go wrong.
