First time here while waiting for a tow truck. Ivan was very patient and helpful as I struggled to order then pay with my phone while simultaneously talking to AAA and the tow driver. I got the middle sized turkey sandwich and put lots of veggies and spreads on it. It was DELICIOUS and IMO well worth the price (~$10). I was really hungry but 1//2 of the sandwich was enough and I saved the other half for breakfast. The second half was still yummy--a bit soggy but that's because I had added so many extras. So I went to the which wich next to the SD university. It was bomb. I come to this location, and bring a coworker with me. We order our sandwiches, order drinks, 45$, no problem. He says if we want ice we need to let him fill it from the back bc their ice maker doesn't work. We take the cups to the drink sections. Half the sodas are uncarbonated, and ALL are warm and taste nasty af. So we go back and say hey the sodas aren't working. He offers us canned sodas, which my friend took one, I didn't want a canned diet pepsi so I said no. We wait ten minutes, whiches are ready. As I'm picking them off the counter, I tell the asian guy, "perhaps you might mention to the next customer that the drinks don't work before you sell them drinks" and he says "oh, I already know" and I stopped on my way out the door, and asked why tf he sold me two large drinks when he knows the sodas are fucked up. The crusty middle aged white woman working with him pipes up "we did tell you, the ice doesn't work" I said "Miss, the SODA's are fucked up" she started straight cussing me out and told me if I want my money back we can have it. There used to be a Which Wich shop much closer to where I live, but that place closed a long time ago so this UTC location was the nearest one. I arrived right before they shut down at 7 pm even though the hours on the Yelp listing said the closing time was 8:30 pm. I still enjoy their ordering process in which you pick a bag that matches the featured protein/veggie and then you use a Sharpie marker to indicate which toppings you want to be added to your sandwich. The bag is then handed over to the cashier who rings up your order before passing it on to the sandwich assembler. What was new on the menu board was a set of Fanatic Favorites that I had not seen in the past. Varieties like Banh Mi, Philly Cheesesteak, Gyro, and Meatball Hero were available as knockoffs of some classic combinations. I picked one large sandwich each from the Ham Wiches and Turkey Wiches categories. The first was a Cordon Bleu made up of thinly sliced ham and chicken. The second was a Thank You Turkey made up of thinly sliced turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I asked for white bread for each along with provolone cheese, bell peppers, caramelized onions, pickles, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, black olives, light mayonnaise, and honey mustard. The bread was really soft, more so than what I had remembered previously. All of the ingredients were neatly packed in. The price for these 10" sandwiches had definitely increased as they were not above $10 at my last visit a few years ago. This review is for Lil' Deez -- the sandwich maker that can't read so good, who works at what is now maybe the worst sandwich shop around by removing customization. WTF? After picking up the sandwich I had ordered ahead, I got home to find it smothered in mayo. I had requested other items on the sandwich (the way it was until sometime in the last 3 weeks) and when I returned to have my sandwich re-made, Lil' Deez aggressively informed me that it's no longer BYO & the sandwich was correct. I let him know that was fine, but it was still wrong, because it says 'No mayo', TWICE. Lil' Deez got angry and when I sat down to wait for my new sandwich, I was loudly asked what I wanted on it, while all the ingredients were annoyingly rattled off. I told him however it came was fine, just no mayo. After he slapped my sandwich down on the counter, proudly announcing that my sandwich was ready, I asked him if there was a problem. After yelling & flipping me off, I asked if there was anything he'd like to discuss with me where the air was fresher & the sound of zero orders wasn't so prevalent. Needless to say, the other employees held him back as he continued to yell and flip me off. It's unfortunate, because I could've shown him some breathing techniques that would've calmed him down. I'd say maybe next time, but I definitely won't be returning. I probably won't be returning to any other locations, either, since they removed BYO from the wicked. I placed an online order recently, and it wasn't until I got home and started eating that I notice that they missed an item on my sandwich. I wasn't even sure, so I had to go back and check the online receipt when I realized that they missed multiple items. Which Which is a sandwich shop that is too cute for its own good. Take a look at the photo and tell me if you even know where to begin. Perhaps the name of the shop reflects the state of confusion as you scratch your head in front of the menu. Today, I tried their Banh Mi which tasted nothing like a banh mi and instead more like a spicy pulled pork sandwich...because that's exactly what it was and I couldn't finish it after a few bites. I've also had their more traditional sandwiches in the past and they were fine if nothing to write home about (but apparently something to write on Yelp about). Yelpers seem to like their shakes; I thought they were bland. Their crinkle-cut french fries, however, were tasty and their house chips were surprisingly some of the best potato chips I've ever had! Service has always been pleasant and enthusiastic. It's a nice change from the often depressed staff at Subway. We wanted a Cuban but the description of the Cuban was vague on the menu. You mark the sandwich you want on the paper bag and then start checking off items you want to add to your sandwich. There were red sharpie pens available to use. You can choose from 3 sandwich sizes. We opted for the medium. The staff seemed young but decently friendly. They took my bag and I paid for the Cuban. The Cuban has pork, Sliced Ham + Double Pickle Slices. I also added red onions, mustard, mayo, tomatoes, and lettuce. You can also request, on the bag, for the sandwich to be pressed/served hot (which we did). Our order was to-go and the sandwich was wrapped nicely. The medium Cuban cost around $9.95. I liked the self serve plastic bags beneath the pick up counter for your sandwiches. The sandwich didn't take too long to make. We liked the sandwich. There was a decent amount of pulled pork and a few slices of ham. The roll was pressed well. It wasn't a bountiful sandwich but was filling enough. I liked the version here compared to the Cuban we tried at their Scripps Ranch location some years ago. They also have a rewards program which the cashier told me about. I have to say.. I'm a fan! I came here after going to the 24 hr fitness close by for some energy food after a good work out. The manager greeted us with a smile at the cash register as we walked inside. Every thing was clean and sparkling. Almost 2 years ago we unfortunately lost my mom to Pancreatic Cancer. After 53 years of marriage my dad sold their home and moved to a home near the Renaissance center so we've been frequenting this Which Which quite often. My dad is older and still a little Covid cautious so he puts on his mask with the smiley face on it and often walks over to get a sandwich.
