Some of my favorite items in my closet are from H&M, but that doesn't mean I like this place. The…read moreracks always seem unorganized. I can't spot cardigans because they're in a mix of crop tops and slinky dresses, dress pants are mixed in with "jeggings" and the sale racks are always nightmares, but I still come. You know why? I really like that the items can be worn in different ways and they really span the gap of tastes--for me, they can be cute, unique and classy if you decide to make them that way. I see how the crowd is always mixed here. I can buy a blouse to wear to work, while the 16 year old next to me will leave it unbuttoned and tie it up into a midriff baring top and the woman 30 years my senior can wear it to church (and let's not forget the scraggly hipsters that will wear it ironically no matter what they decide to do). (Obviously, this doesn't go for all of the clothing here, but I feel like a lot of the stuff I'm drawn to can go any direction and I really appreciate that.) Now, the real problem is the store itself. Aside from the disorganization, there are ALWAYS damaged goods on the racks, so be careful and keep an eye out, because these damages are often not labeled and could sneak past the unaware shopper. The racks are squished together so that there's only one path that you can take to get in and out of the maze, so you're bound to bump into someone or fight the hanger-push game with some skinny little brat with a frappuccino in hand. But, somehow, that's all worth it to me because the sales are actually pretty good deals and I walk out excited to wear my new duds with pride, because I basically fought a synthetic fabric jungle in there and came out a winner.

Blackbird Fly is located in the new Pinecrest development in Orange. It's a beautifully laid out…read morestore located right on the main drag of Pinecrest with parking spots out front. I have to be honest. I tend not to shop at many women's boutiques because I never feel the clothes are inclusive. I'm not a 5 foot tall size 0 looking for a $200 crop top, which is almost always what the inventory feels like. I nearly passed out when I came across sweaters and tunics that were sized to fit real people and ended up purchasing a flattering geometric knit sweater with a cute hood that I can't wait to wear (if it ever becomes fall). I love that the clothes here are real. They have a lovely selection of jewelry, homewares, cards, small gifts and other stationary that were unique and simply darling. It was too tempting to buy 1000 things for myself. I will absolutely return here the next time I need a gift for someone! But don't get me wrong, I did purchase an amethyst chunk bracelet I have zero regrets about. :) As I was checking out, I met the owner, who was lovely. I also really appreciated that while I was shopping, no one followed me around asking me if I liked XYZ. That's a pushy sales technique that just leaves me not wanting to return, and I'm so happy they don't do that. Love!

I love everything about this Boutique-- from the clothes to the ambiance-- but the owner made the…read morestore even more awesome! I came to Cleveland without a jacket and for some reason Google told me that the store closed at 7pm, so at 6:45pm (45 minutes after the store closed), I banged on the glass, and I was greeted with a smile and welcomed inside. The boutique is incredible! I wish we had one like it in Baltimore because I would be there all of the time. They have adorable clothes-- from leggings to dresses to jackets and sweaters. And the price point on a lot of the clothes make them affordable which is awesome. In some stores, you pick up a jacket and pay $400+, but here, you can get adorable jackets for 1/4 of that! Stop by here (before 6pm)-- you won't be sorry!
