There is just that unmistakable aroma and feel about the place. I don't where this lies, as far as the city, geographically, I'll just call it downtown, I guess, but it is definitely in one of the older parts of the city, which gives it character. I dig stuff like this. Inside is easily the largest amount of well-preserved old board (and other) games I think I've ever seen. Easily a solid half (maybe more) of the shop is given over to this and you can find all kind of the old Milton-Bradley and Hasbro gems of yesteryear, including several from that era I'd never heard of, let alone played. Had I been looking for that (and I might, next go), I could have easily spent a couple hours there. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable as well, which is somewhat staggering, considering all that volume. I went there, however, to look at comics and collectibles, as the focus and though I still wound up buying games, as far as those other two, the selection is a lot lighter. There is a decent amount of back issues, most of the newer ones, as well as some special editions and trade paperbacks. It's respectable, but not mind-blowing to the degree the rest of the store is, on the gaming side. An ok amount of collectibles as well...given the size of Bismarck, it fits in pretty well with about what you would expect on the non-game side...the game side is still definitely incredible, though.

Absolutely horrible experience compared to the other day. I am a disabled veteran and single father…read moretrying to get by in this scary economy and was given my Va benefits in an "ebt" style card. I was here 3 days ago and Glen was a rockstar and helped me get groceries, my card had suffered damage and I am fighting homelessness while attempting to stay afloat with my 2 small children but Glen and his supervisors helped me figure it out and we learnt the cash register code together to get through this last month of benefits that unfortunately put on a food stamp card, which today got me handed nothing but bigotry and looked down upon. The staff refused to call in a manager and got very aggressive with me and showed disgust at my mentioning it's my veteran benefits...everyone deserves a second chance but this man pretending to be a leader needs a second chance at a drug test; stimulants were not tuned down with his marijuana vape puffs he takes in his smoke breaks, med patient or not it is against Walmart policies. I apologized for my sailor jargon and controlled my vocabulary, he should have as well but obviously he has not received the proper training of a real leader. I am appalled at their behavior and the crew allowing such a negative tone to dictate their work environment. I'd give one less star if I could but Glen deserves the 1 star.

Much better selection here at Kohl's compared to their neighbor. I found a very good selection of…read moremenswear, especially warmer tops. Especially so in the clearance racks where I found four to try on. Of those four, I ended up choosing two. Great to see the prices marked down well beyond 50%! I couldn't find any of the kids shoes I went in there to find even though it said they had them in stock online at that store. Then I couldn't even find my sons size in any shoe I had to just look for his size and open the box and hope they were boys. It was a mess. Worst Kohl's I've ever been to. They're lucky they are the only one for hundreds of miles and that they're not my normal Kohl's, we were just in Bismarck for the day. Oh and when I told the lady checking me out she said "oh well sorry". I'm not saying the store has to be perfect but it had every brand, every size and gender all just thrown around in the kids section.
