They also switched him to retainers so that would be easier to manage and there would be no issues again if he needs another MRI. My retainer was placed around 16 years ago by an orthodontist who has since retired. I couldn't find another ortho who took my insurance, would fix a fixed retainer, or who wasn't super expensive. I am so grateful to Dr. Andrey, he does a great job of working with you to find the best solution for you. He is very quick, efficient, and obviously knowledgeable. He can diagnose and treat all kinds of orthodontic problems.

They helped me figure out how my insurance benefits work and what type of orthodontia worked the best for me. During the pandemic I found myself running out of bands and they were able to send me some through the mail. The whole experience has been the best I could hope for. I even have my daughter coming to see Dr Hu. She's been in braces for about 5 years now. After we moved from the East Coast, I went with another orthodontist first and regretted it right away. After only one visit, Dr Hu has been able to help her out (she has a very difficult problem) and we've gotten more from her visits with Dr Hu than we did with any previous orthodontist. I have also taken my 10 year old to see Dr Hu for a consultation. Since we are in the pre-orthodontia stage, this was merely for getting a game plan together since we know my son is going to need them. Dr Hu explained our options and we went with the more gentler route for now. I would highly recommend New Smile Orthodontics to anyone needing braces. I do my research before trying a business especially for my healthcare. I came in as a new patient and it turns out I had to get a root canal and crown to fix my issue. No problem, I had one before with my longtime dentist but he was Retired so I tried oak tree dentistry. The Dr I met with I didn't catch his name he was partially bald, rushed through my diagnosis didn't explain much of anything but let me know I needed the root canal, we scheduled it I came back and I was met with a completely different dr. A woman she was of Indian descent wasn't listed on the website as a dr there I was very confused but trusted them. It was the most painful root canal I was there for over 3 hours mouth open getting worked on. My temp tooth fell out 2 times while waiting for my crow to come in. Till this day a year later the tooth is still sensitive. Very unfortunate my original dentist really set the bar, my first root canal was so fast so smooth so painless so this was a COMPLETE SHOCK.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. 5/5 Stars!…read more I found Dr Jhang help on Yelp and decided to give him a call to get a second opinion since the other dentist I saw didn't really want to work on my compromised root canal & just referred me out to an endodontist. Dr Jhang diagnosed me right away and asked me if I had any pain & etc. He then gave me a treatment plan right away and gave me the quotes for those options on the spot. Which I appreciated. After I reviewed my options, I got back to him and Erica (the front desk personnel) got me in right away. I called Monday and she was able to get me in Thursday!! Erica is very pleasant and explains everything thoroughly. She also answered all the dumb questions I had!! Which is a plus. Now to the actual work. Dr Jhang cleaned my root canal, put a temporary on and today put on the permanent crown. He did amazing work and has the steadiest hands I've ever experienced. No shaking what so ever. Hes also very pleasant and nice. I really enjoyed my experience there. Anna, the dental assistant was the highlight for me tho. She took care of me and always made sure I understood what was happening. She made me feel straight at home and helped me to calm my nerves!!! Overall, Dr Jhang and his staff are amazing!! They were late for starters, 9 am appointment and we weren't in the door until 9:10. We weren't the only patients waiting. Thus none of the stations were ready. If they have creature comforts for kids they weren't out and the staff wasn't bringing them out, to the point of they couldn't find the remote for the overhead tvs that help keep the kids distracted. They refused to find the remote so no distraction for my kid. When Alex showed up he had no patience and tried to force his way into her mouth. I asked him to stop so I can console and get my kid to relax but he ignored me ( I would give benefit of the doubt but his assistant heard me and she was further away. I know because when I said stop she pulled back). I had to physically grab his shoulder. No one like touches so I understood his irritation at that but my concern was with my kid. He states that if she can't handle this then he wouldn't be able to go forward with the procedure. I asked for a little more detail so I could talk my kid through the process and it turns out that he was about to perform a procedure that we hadn't confirm!ed The office had messed up the paperwork and put down the wrong thing for the wrong day and person. At this point my irritation level is high so I questioned the professionalism of the establishment. He wasn't happy that I called out the multiple failings of this office that morning and we were asked to leave. I asked the women on staff if I was wrong for protecting my daughter. Why couldn't they take the time to find the remote to distract a little girl from the sounds of drills and suction which can be scary for a kid. They were already late so what's another couple minutes? Why rush my daughter and then get upset because she needed a little reassurance? It's hard sometimes to not believe that our mistreatment wasn't because of our skin tone. In honor of AAPI month I won't say that I will never go to another Asian dentist or doctor again but I know I did the right thing in protecting my daughter from Alex Jhang!!
