Took our lil' one to Whee Zone for a random play day--aka: let's get this child good and tired so we can sit down somewhere. Bonus points: there's a Cold Stone down the strip (and if you live in Mercer County, you already know that's rare like a unicorn in Target). The spot itself? Cute... if you've got big kids. They do have a toddler section, but let's keep it real--it felt like an afterthought. It's not gated, not monitored, and somehow it's also the only area with a ball pit. So what happens? All the little babies, their stressed out parents, and a few wild big kids with too much sugar in their systems are all jammed into this tiny corner trying to "enjoy." Picture chaos--but with socks. Meanwhile, the whole other half of the space was crickets. EMPTY. And it was a birthday party that day! So, yeah, we eventually just hit the big kid zone and let our toddler climb and crawl while we supervised from the inside--shoutout to being short enough (5'6") and tall enough (husband's 6') to still squeeze in without pulling a muscle. We finally got a calm moment in the ball pit--AFTER 7PM--once most kids dipped. So here's the real advice: if you've got little ones, pull up early or late. Period. Other need-to-knows: * $15.99 per kid * Sign a waiver * Socks with grip required (no slip, no play) * Shoes off and stored in the cubbies near the front * They've got memberships, but it's a 3-month minimum. Meh. All in all--we had a good time. I'm picky about these types of places, but hey--your kid will think it's the Met Gala of play zones. They don't know better, they just want to bounce and throw things. And for that? Whee Zone does the job.

Inside view of the whee zone...great, large playground. 20$ for me and my daughter, we love it.

The Mountain Lakes House - Wedding

The Mountain Lakes House

Recently had our wedding at Mountain Lake House and absolutely loved it! The staff is very helpful…read more- Sally is responsive, helpful, and just a wonderful resource during a stressful time. The property is beautiful! The lawn down to the lake is well kept and our guests enjoyed walking around throughout the evening. Our reception was late afternoon/early evening, and the day was sunny and pretty hot. The house provided our older guests a much-needed escape from the heat. Outside, it was beautiful under the tents, and the view only got better at sunset. No expensive decorations needed - the property does it for you! We arranged for shuttles to take guests from the church to the house, and then back to the hotel. With slightly limited parking, this was a convenient (and safe!) way to get everyone there and back. Would book again for any event!

Where can I start , my wedding took place this past Saturday the 8th, my husband and I booked this…read morevenue a year ago , I did my research online prior to booking and read the great reviews, we visited the lake house and fell in love with it. Since the very beginning we did not get a good vibe from the housing manager Sally. Her attitude was dry, careless and arrogant. But I chose to look beside it because I really believed this venue was the perfect place to make my rustic themed visionary wedding to life. I can basically say I reached out or called sally maximum 4 times for help with questions because I did not feel comfortable approaching her with her dry attitude. All this woman talks and brags about is her husbands job as a CEO of a drug treatment program , big shit. Now lets start with my experience on my wedding week PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR TO BOOKING WITH SALLY, SO YOU CAN BE AWARE AND NOT HAVE THIS HAPPEN TO YOU My fiance paid the venue in full three weeks before the event , Sally told us many months ago that if in the occasion that the night before our event , the venue was not booked we may go drop off our equipment and decorate the day before. Three weeks ago Sally verbally told my fiance, wedding planner, and I that we may decorate on Friday since it was not booked nor she believed it would be with such short notice. We are super excited and relieved that we were able to decorate the day before. On wednesday August 5th I called Sally for last minute questions and reconfirmed our arrival on Friday to drop off & decorate , Sally responds" Oh i am sorry an architecture business meeting/reunion will be held Friday you can no longer come to decorate" " I am sorry for last minute" .... ok so when was she planning to call me to tell me this ? Secondly, Sally continued to tell me that I can still drop off the decorations and store them in a room , on Friday August 7th between 9:00- 1:00pm Friday August 7th : My family and I load up 3 cars , and drive 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive to the lake house and NO ONE IS HOME. I call Sally and her voicemail states she is off and away August 7th, 21st - 30th . Thank you Sally for causing me a stress overload the day before my wedding. Very irresponsible of this housing manager to do this. I could not believe my eyes, I emailed her and recieved no response to this day!!!! Luckily a woman drove in that very moment, by the name of Mary Anne, which rents office space in the second floor , she opened the door for us and allowed us to store our things in a room upstairs. Mary anne and Dan were very helpful , and provided em with the care takers phone number Mr. Haas who I contacted later that afternoon to request for premises to be cleaned prior to my event. The caretaker was very helpful the day of our event and made sure everything was found clean and left cleaned at the end of the night. The last thing a bride or couple should go through is a stressful moment due to the venue in where we have paid so much money to have our wedding take place. I believed in this lakehouse and Sally's work ethics. I never would have imagined to have such a terrible experience. In addition to this she was not present the saturday of my event either. Neither did she request a copy of our bartenders liqour licence certification after driving us nearly crazy for this months before. What kind of unorganized , careless woman do you have running your business? Please look into this matter and please reach out to me, because I know this venue is owned by the city/county and not privately owned by Sally. There has to be management over her and I very much wish to be contacted I would not take my time to express such a long detailed review if I did not feel so disgusted by my terrible experience with this manager .

We are still buzzing from the energy that Vikram and Rokitbeats brought to our wedding weekend! What was supposed to be a simple welcome dinner turned into the best surprise dance party and it set the tone for the entire weekend! The music was absolutely perfect, they knew exactly how to get everyone up, dancing, and having the time of their lives. The energy, the flow, the vibes... everything was spot-on. Our MC kept the energy high, the crowd laughing, and the whole night flowed so smoothly. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! Our family and friends cannot stop talking about how incredible this team is. We met with Neil months before the wedding, and he completely understood who we were as people, our music interests and the vibes we wanted to bring to our wedding--that meant the most to us. The dance floor was popping before the Sangeet even started. They had us crowd surfing, had our friends and family raging, and had us going all night long. Went back and forth via email multiple times BEFORE they told me the date I wanted wasn't available, which is the date I gave them in email one. Offered a new date, it was booked. They tried to call me mid day and I wasn't available due to a work conference so I emailed them, told them this and requested a list of available dates over a two weekend period. They call again but of course I couldn't pick up. So applaud them for calling, but be respectful of what I sent you. I call back twice, leave a message, nothing. Then they ghost me. Apparently they don't want our money so we shifted to something else, but had to scramble last minute. So while I recommend a day trip here, don't waste your time trying to book out a party.

We purchased cliffhanger tickets several weeks in advance, only to have a major snowstorm (8-12 inches statewide, state of emergency issued) on our date/time. They did not want to refund or reschedule our time slot, I had to speak to several employees who all told me vastly different things. For a fun afternoon out (we were not affiliated with any sports team or tournament), it strikes me as irresponsible that they were unwilling to work with us to reschedule our visit due to dangerous driving conditions. I eventually spoke to an employee who seemed knowledgable and was kind enough to explain the situation on their end. He was able to move our reservation, but at that point I expended so much time and patience on the phone with them, it was quite frustrating.

She made the whole process so much easier and stress-free, and I can't thank her enough for bringing my vision to life. And one of my absolute favorite parts of our wedding was the phone booth we had in place of a traditional guest book. Instead of just signing their names, our guests got to leave us heartfelt (and hilarious!) voice messages that we'll cherish forever. It's something so unique and meaningful. I highly recommend it to every future bride! I'm just so grateful for everything she did to make our day unforgettable. Future brides, don't hesitate she's the one you want on your team.
