A very sweet woman told me that there wasn't enough time for both services, but she could get me in for a pedicure at 6:30. I arrived at 6:30, and was warmly greeted. It's a lovely space. I accidentally went in through the back door. Thea looked at my nails, took pity on me, and said that she would do them too. I said, "But you close at 7. I can come back. I need a pedicure more than a manicure." She told me not to worry. Thea did a FABULOUS, beautiful, thorough job on both my toes and fingers! She found a lovely pale pink for my nails, and I got white polish on my toes. This is a beautiful, very clean, relaxing space. Thea is simply lovely and a great conversationalist, if you choose to talk. There are comfortable chairs for the pedicures, not massage chairs, but I think that's because of space limitations or aesthetics, or both. I didn't miss the massage chair. The pedicure was GREAT. As was the manicure. Thea asked if was happy with the shape, and filed them a bit more. I am so happy to have FINALLY found my nail place! It took a while.

She gave me a price and being that I provided the picture of what I wanted before even booking an appointment, I expected they were able to do the design. I went today with a design I really wanted and the tech was unable to do the design. To her credit, she told me and didn't even really bother trying to attempt it and I did show another design instead. She said she could do that one but I don't really think she did a great job with that, either. The second option she said she could do including a French tip on two nails. She only used one coat so the pink looks opaque and streaky. She also didn't go around the edge of the nail so it just drops off suddenly and looks sloppy. They're $15-$25 more for a uv gel fill on and the price is not a reflection of the quality of work. First time I've ever got a manicure anywhere that didn't include lotion on your hands and a warm towel afterwards, either. Everyone was nice and polite but I definitely will not be back. Would definitely recommend Aurora in Center Moriches and will be sticking with there from now on - $40 for a uv gel fill on and their techs can actually do designs

I had called to book an appointment for highlights which I had not had since before Covid. Of note, my hair was in great shape pre-service. I was scheduled for a Saturday. Little did I realize that was a horrible mistake on my part. The salon was very crowded and the stylist was very busy. She actually ran out of the bleach solution she was using and had to run to the back mid way to grab the bag of bleach powder. She mixed it hurriedly right at the chair (no scales or measuring) and continued putting foils in my hair. Then I was put under the dryer to process while she cut someone else's hair. It was finished with a gloss. It looked nice enough at the end, but when I next washed it, it felt so rough and damaged in the shower. It was a rat nest. Permanently damaged. A few weeks later I went to another salon for a trim and the stylist told me my hair was gummy, and I had to have four inches cut off the ends. I KNEW IT. The stylist was more interested in squeezing in as many clients as possible TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE vs. being careful with my highlights and giving them the time and attention needed to come out correctly without damaging my hair. So I paid a few hundred dollars to get my hair ruined. What kind of place does this? Not a good one. If you value your hair, go elsewhere. FURTHER UPDATE in response to the salon's comment. This is NOT a fake review. Unfortunately. This is exactly what happened to me at your salon. Do you want the other salon to call you to attest that my hair was damaged and gummy? Why are you marking every negative review as fake? It is only fair to warn others of what happened to me. Nellie talked with me in advance and checked in with me along the ride. I felt like she understood me and didn't make me feel bad about not coloring my grays. Owner was friendly and it seemed like there were many regular customers. Two months later and my husband is still complimenting my cut. I may have to go out there in the winter to get my next haircut!
