I have had round nails since I was 16. I have been getting regular manicures since college. I have NEVER, EVER, been charged extra for filing them into a round shape, which they already were, anyway. I was not informed of this charge, nor another $10 upcharge for gel, until I went to pay. And then they demanded that I tip in cash. This greedy, sneaky place can take their greedy upcharges and shove them. I don't like square nails. Too bad that they're lazy and want to charge more for round. Absolute disgrace. Again, no complaints about the actual services. Nails and toes looked great. Salon was crowded, didn't get an impression of cleanliness, pedicure chairs are old and mine didn't work. That was an added annoyance. Then it turned out that it was unplugged. Smh. Will not return unless they're the last place that I can get a pedicure. Definitely will never get my nails done here, because of the ridiculous upcharge.

I went today with a design I really wanted and the tech was unable to do the design. To her credit, she told me and didn't even really bother trying to attempt it and I did show another design instead. She said she could do that one but I don't really think she did a great job with that, either. The second option she said she could do including a French tip on two nails. She only used one coat so the pink looks opaque and streaky. She also didn't go around the edge of the nail so it just drops off suddenly and looks sloppy. They're $15-$25 more for a uv gel fill on and the price is not a reflection of the quality of work. First time I've ever got a manicure anywhere that didn't include lotion on your hands and a warm towel afterwards, either. Everyone was nice and polite but I definitely will not be back. Would definitely recommend Aurora in Center Moriches and will be sticking with there from now on - $40 for a uv gel fill on and their techs can actually do designs
