What a lovely surprise, all so good but so different, the creme fresh was to die for. Next up was oysters, fresh super briny, nice minionette. Next venison tartar. Great flavor but the variety of textures is what makes the dish. Mains were the meatballs, the picked cucumber and lingonberries make this dish, rich gravy, buttery potatoes and tasty flavorful meatballs. Also had the chopped elk (big elk meatball!), cooked medium rare on a bed of chopped mushrooms, so rich and lovely. Desert, went for the comedy duo of the two candy bars! So fun. Can't wait to come back in my next trip.

This was our last meal in Gothenberg on our trip this spring and it was perfect. We started our meal with a shrimp salad with toast which was well seasoned and wasn't too creamy. My boyfriend ordered the seafood au gratin which had mussels, shrimp and fish. There was a good amount of veggie on it as well. My meatballs were luscious. The lingonberry sauce was the perfect tart addition to the creamy dish. This is what they're talking about when they're talking about Swedish meatballs! Overall great dining experience for a reasonable price!

The Rover is a great locals kind of bar, in the middle of a bunch of other bars. We like to come…read morehere for their beer selection, which is usually really eclectic and changes frequently. The bartenders are super friendly and want to help you find a good beer you'll like. We've only been here for drinks and were usually able to find space at the bar or at one of the big booths in the bar to drink. Definitely recommend if you want a nice cozy place where you can sit and chat with friends.

Otherwise you can always have some beers in the bar area while you wait for your table. They have an amazing selection of local and imported beers. 32 rotating in draft! The food is really delicious. You get a nice helping of popcorn brought to your table while you look through the menu, which is a nice touch! They have one of my favorite veggie (vegan) burgers in the city. I usually get the sweet potato fries on the side, which are some of the best I've had. The regular fries are also quite tasty. My friends tell me the regular hamburger is one of the best in town as well. They also have a few seasonal dishes throughout the year, but I haven't tried any yet. The staff is always really friendly and helpful. They have a lot of knowledge about the beers and can offer recommendations based on your preferences. The atmosphere is cozy and casual. Situated on Andra Långgatan, it's the perfect place to start your night with food and a beer before making your way to the other pubs on the street.

In Gothenburg, it was just a single friend and I visiting the Hard Rock, and it wasn't a meal time unfortunately, so we actually just stopped in to take some pics of the pieces, if the staff would allow us to. They said we were totally fine to do that, but we felt we did need to buy something for their troubles, so we did grab a drink. Their beer options were great and were served very crisp and cold, so we enjoyed our drinks before exploring a bit. The collectibles they had were excellent and very well curated. Guitars from some rock icons like Tom Petty and Joe Walsh, clothing from a few stars like Elton John, John Lennon, and Madonna and even gold records from a few artists like Van Halen and Bruce Springsteen. The interior of this Hard Rock was actually really cool too, with red booths, very airy and light filled with glass walls on the ground floor by the bar, and a whole area of shuffleboards. With helpful staff, great music memorabilia (that I didn't even scratch the surface of in this review), and delicious drink options, I think this Hard Rock is a great addition to a little tour of their locations or just a one time stop in!
