I liked this place a lot!!! It had class, but the people did not pretend they were too cool for school. People were very friendly and the bartenders were fantastic (especially the one from Bergen). Their beer selection was nice too...I hadn't had a Young's Double Chocolate Stout since arriving in Scandinavia but I was finally able to get my fix here and I was raving about it all night. The group I was with wanted to leave and check out places after this...which was kind of disappointing because I really wanted to remain here the rest of the night.

Fun place to meet friends. Large variety of beers. Haven't tried the food but it looked good.

The beer is the cheapest in town (along with kellys and sejedln) and the peanuts are always free. It is packed on weekends but if you are at all social, it doesn't become a problem. Did I mention how friendly people are? The cheap beer attracts a very young clientele, expect to feel like an oldtimer if you're over 30. A bit of a hipstery student crowd, but far more chill than the nearby hipster pubs. It is the dive bar to end all dive bars. Decor isn't even so bad, biggest complaint about the ambiance is the cheap beer gets spilled often. I have drank here more than any pub in town. A huge english speaking foreign clientele.

It's pretty lowkey inside with a bunch of tables and chairs you can sit at after ordering at the bar. They have a few beers on tap usually, with lots of bottled beer. Anonymous and with that local joint look to it. For me the selection of beer is crucial when choosing pub. I do not enjoy the watery Spendrups, Norrlands or Pripps (or alike from other countries). I do enjoy a local beer once in awhile when abroad, yes, but that is a different story! A good IPA or Pale Ale and I am in! We went here on a Saturday night around 6 to grab a bit. It was still many seats free, but the best once were taken. We went for the burgers and did not regret. The Mexican with guacamole and hot jalapenos is a hit! A bit on the stingy side regarding the cole slow side dish. The girl waitering on us was super friendly. Just one TV-screen so your sport freak company won't loose focus on you. They have a projector and white screen, meant for bigger sports event I guess. The premises is cozy and not very large. Typical local joint with - I assume - many regulars. I could easily be one of them if this was my neighborhood. No AMEX.

It doesnt get more and possibly could get less because of the consistency in service there being mediocre. I dont post reviews sometimes because I want to go back and see if the service is consistently under par. Same with going and having a fantastic time but I'll often give 4 and a 5 when I return and find it just as or better. That said, I walked in and there were literally a handful of guests, just a few minutes after opening. I walked around to see if my friend had arrived, and to pick out a table. I walked up to the bar and one man stood there who couldn't decide what he wanted and was waiting for his lady friend to come back from the bathroom. We stood next to each other. The barkeep got tired of waiting and said to the guy, when you're ready...then another man walked in and up to the bar. The barkeep walked down the length of the bar away from us and asked the other guy what he wanted and served him! Really?! When I asked him when he came back why I had to wait when the other customer didnt know what he wanted and the other guy came in after me, he shrugged his shoulders and said he saw me after the 2nd guy gave his order. The food is mediocre, greasy, tastes like the fishsticks served at school lunch from the 70s. The people who started to fill the bar were mostly older Swedes with a sprinkling of English speakers also older. I mean older, like 70plus. So maybe the menu is also from the 70s. It gets 3 stars because I've been to other Bishops Arms and they have better service and a more mixed crowd so It might be best to try one of the others in the city. I have to say this is why I like Notting Hill, they really keep track of who walks in, what you've ordered, etc. And their food is consistently good. A last note for Guinness drinkers...it doesnt taste as good either at Bishops Arms it tastes a little flat, in a hard to describe way but I've noticed Guinness does taste different from different tapas vs bottles vs cans. If anyone knows why or thinks I'm not crazy, I'd like to know why. BTW I've never sent back a pint, but maybe I should?

Ask for the bottle menu for a even better selection. BA is a chain/franchise and maybe not the sexiest or coolest place, but it looks like an old "well worn" pub if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking for cheap lager - move on. Since a few months they refurbished the front room where the bar is. They accept AMEX.

First the place is well located in the Järntorget spot and steps away from the tram. While I didn't eat in that place I had a couple drinks and to be honest the atmosphere between work colleague was exceptional as we had a blast and obviously contributed to the experience. We were all situated in a center lengthy table on high chairs next to the beer ordering. The waiter was very warm and joked with us quite a bit. Since we were a group with many different nationalities (Swedes, Brazilians, Canadians, Polish and French) the conversation revolves around this topic with the waiter. What struck me in this place was the scenery, ranging from the ceiling to the wall it is clear the owner either put some effort into it or called for interior designer specialist. Since describing decoration isn't what I am the most skilled about I have put pictures as they replace a thousand words. See it for yourself. Hygiene was also good ranging from the tables to the toilets (toilet were also another style in itself with the graffitis. Hope I'll return for the food next time.

Seems to be a hangout for all types, hipsters, older couples, older pairs of friends, old and young communists, college students. The seating is deliberately not comfortable, I think. High stools and narrow bar tables with hard benches...it seems to say, drink up bit don't get comfortable. Which suited us just fine. During the summer they build benches so you can sit outside along the entrance to Andra Långgatan, our old neighborhood. Watch Känn ingen sorg, then go.down and hang out to watch the parade of people who come down to the area. This is a good meeting up place if you are going to do a pub crawl. A few were sitting alone and reading a book or looking at their phones. So if you dont want a cup of coffee next door at expresso house while you write your latest blog or work on your novel, this could be your alternative spot to nurse a brew.
