One of the first things I noticed was how the entrance and back exit are positioned on opposite ends of the venue. It creates a natural flow through the entire space, making it easy to move around without feeling crowded or bottlenecked. It's a small detail, but it makes the venue feel open and well thought out. As someone who's both a student and someone who occasionally needs a place to lock in and get work done, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Wi-Fi was available and that the access information was clearly visible. Strong Wi-Fi is a must, must, must for me, and it's always appreciated when a venue makes connectivity easy instead of turning it into a scavenger hunt. While I wasn't particularly hungry during my visit, there was a food vendor ready to take orders, and I noticed quite a few dishes being brought out to other patrons that looked really good. Based on what I saw, I'd definitely consider trying the food on a future visit. The service was another highlight. Staff were welcoming, attentive, and efficient. Drinks arrived quickly, questions were answered without hesitation, and the overall experience felt inviting from start to finish. Aztec Brewery feels like one of those places that successfully balances being a neighborhood gathering spot, a live music venue, and a comfortable place to spend time with friends. Whether you're there for a drink, the music, the Wi-Fi, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, it's a venue that's easy to recommend and one I'd happily visit again.

I wanted to leave a glowing review for the Oceanside Theater Company (OTC) for their amazing…read morecustomer service, specifically to "Margi". Back in September, I coordinated a group of almost 20 guests to attend "Trouble Man: feat. l Young" on October 4th. On the 1st, I tried to add more guests to our party but the event was no longer listed on their website. On October 2nd, we were provided unfortunate news that our show on October 4th had been cancelled as one of the female vocalists coming from out of town had caught pneumonia, and that sales of that particular show with 3 days to go were extremely low. But Margi was very communicative, and had processed our refunds in a timely manner, and was an absolute pleasure to deal with when I spoke with her to purchase our group tickets. I would patronize OTC again without hesitation, and look forward to seeing a future performance there. Kudos to OTC for amazing box office staff!

I can't speak to the quality of the adult productions, but as the parent of a child actively…read moreinvolved in San Diego community youth theater, I personally would not feel comfortable having my child perform here. I have significant concerns about the judgment and oversight surrounding youth productions, particularly when minors are cast opposite adults as romantic interests. I have also heard troubling accounts from members of the local theater community regarding how some young performers have been treated with little to no respect. Most concerning to me was a recent production that drew significant criticism over what many felt were inappropriate boundaries involving an adult and a minor in the cast. My understanding is that the directors involved were subsequently removed from the production following its closing dates. I was troubled that the circumstances were able to progress as far as they did before action was taken. When a theater works with children, I believe the owners and leadership have an especially important responsibility to know what is happening in productions operating under their name and to establish clear safeguards and boundaries for minors. In my opinion, the oversight in this situation fell far short of what I would expect from an organization entrusted with young performers. I sincerely hope the concerns raised by parents and members of the theater community lead to meaningful changes. Youth theater can be an incredible experience, but the well-being and safety of the children involved has to come before any production.

When we arrived we were the only people in the shop so we asked the employee if the wine bar area was open and if we could grab a glass of wine. He said 'of course!' We sat down, and were able to easily see the wines available and pricing. The employee introduced himself as Jim, and we soon learned he was the owner! Within a few minutes more guests arrived and filled the space. Jim knew everyone's name, even asking about pets and upcoming trips. It seemed like a real community. I quickly got to know the other local guests, and learned about their wine club! From Jim's service, the great variety of wine, overall ambiance, and laid back vibes I would recommend everyone to check this out. I'm already looking forward to coming back for the wine club events! They do also serve a small selection of cold bottled beers and snacks like chips and crackers. I did see other guests bring in their own food, so maybe that's allowed too. Thanks Jim!
