He doesn't bother to get off or pause even to tell me someone will come help me or he will help me in a minute. I listen to the phone call for a couple minutes while standing by the counter waiting. He's clearly seen me But just in case I walked over by his table. He continues talking to someone, never gets off the phone so I walk out the door. There is a cozy loft with a tv normally set to the news, there are magazines and wifi as well. The staff is friendly and informative, not to forget helpful. They also have a preferred customer card that they even keep on site so you never have to forget to bring yours, they just write your name on it and file it in a index card box. The parking a hard to get, because it's on Main Street, but if you are willing to walk a block or two to get great coffee and service, this is the place. They are definitely the best place to go in town.

I kind of feel silly about the details of my visit here…read more.. I was driving through the area and needed a place to grab a FAST lunch. Get right back on the road. This place seemed like a good choice and had order-ahead on the Toast app. So I order a chicken caesar wrap with a banana as the side, plus a coffee. I'm going to run in, grab it, then eat in the car while I'm driving, right?... There's tons of parking on the street right outside, no problem. But as I walk in, I realize this place is deep in the basement of this downtown building. What the heck have I gotten myself into? But it's really charming down there! Tons of seating, nice mood lighting, and super friendly people. The food was almost ready and, as I'm waiting, I start to regret my choice. Why not just hang out here for a while? But my mind was already made up. I grab the food, go to the car... and then realize I can't drive and eat this at the same time. Takes too much coordination. So then I'm frozen. I already left, so I feel like I can't go back in, but I can't start driving either. And so I eat my lunch sitting in the car right outside. Like an idiot. Thanks for reading all of that. I do feel better having put it down in writing. The food was really good! Just what I needed to have the energy to get back on the road. Coffee good too. Seemed to have a little bit of some kind of flavoring in it but I couldn't put my finger on it. If I'm ever back in the area, I look forward to eating lunch in the basement like a civilized person.
