So since I'm in Alabama for work I decided to break my keto diet and give it a try. I got the double meat whataburger and a grilled chicken Cobb salad. The thing about the burger that stood out was the bun. It was the same texture as your typical fast food burger. Almost like fry bread, but a still a bun. About the diameter of a whopper in size, it's a hefty burger. It's tastes like any burger you would get in a small town drive in. And that's the allure. That small town flavor in a big box setting. The salad had great presentation and portion. All in all it was good food. And mostly lived up to the hype. I didn't try any of the fried delectables cuz I didn't want to break my keto too terrible. Always fast service when dining inside. So if you're in any kind of hurry, skip the drive thru and go inside because the drive thru lines are always long and take forever. Roaches!! During my recent trip to whataburger the drive through line was insanely long, so I decided to pop in and place a to-go order, nothing too difficult just breakfast. I placed the said order and sat down on the bench at the front entry while awaiting my number to be called. Then I was distracted by movement near my foot. And lo and behold a German roach! I immediately informed the host that took my order that they had roaches and I need my refund asap. So she tells me "we don't have that problem. I says yes you do....we both turn and look and the roach was scurrying off to find a place to hide. I often don't leave reviews, however I'm going to for this specific location. They need new people in there that know how to ring up a ticket correctly instead of adding whatever they want to make jt where there is something I didn't order in my ticket. The communication in the kitchen seems like it's virtually nonexistent. I've tried three separate times to order what I want and every single time I do, something is always messed up, whether it would be the cashier ringing up double what I had, or causing me to go inside to pick up a milkshake they had "trouble" making, or messing up a ticket AND my order. Food was typical Whataburger, service was HORRIBLE. I did an online order and it was about 2:30pm, so School had just let out, but I beat the school crowd there. When I got in the drive thru, there were only 2 cars in front of me. I told the guy that I had an online order and he told me to pull forward. I sat in the drive thru line for 15 min and then when I got to the window, the girl asked me to pull forward. No problem, so I did! 5 or 6 cars behind me (who had ordered and paid when they got to the restaurant) got their food and drove off. After waiting 5 more minutes, I parked and walked in. Right as I walked in, a girl had my order and was looking confused, so one of the other workers asked her what was wrong and she said, "This is an online order that we told to pull forward.." and I said, "That's mine." And she said, "I'm sorry, ma'am." I told her that it was fine and I went to my car. An online order should NOT take longer to prepare than an order of someone (or 6 people) who ordered when they got to the restaurant. Maybe they had to remake it a few times? Idk. I find it hard to give any fast food restaurant more than a 3 star review simply because of what it is. Your order will be wrong sometimes. Staff changes every week. I can accept that. But I gotta say this specific Whataburger has done a good job since opening day. They stay busy from sun up to sundown, and the staff is normally pretty polite and will sometimes go the extra mile to make sure everything is as good as it can be for you. With all that being said, and the fact I've only had a messed up order a handful of times out of the hundreds I've been here, I'm giving it a 4. And would recommend to a friend. read more

I love our Saraland Whataburger. The people are so friendly. I've never had an order prepared wrong. The taste of a Whataburger sandwich is unlike any other burger anywhere.
