I don't usually write reviews for fast food, but today was different. I work remotely and was having a rough morning, so I decided to step out of the house just to grab a soda and reset my energy. When I pulled into the drive-thru, I wasn't expecting much beyond a quick transaction. But then Angel brought me my Dr. Pepper with a sparkle in her eye and a warmth that completely turned my day around. Her positive vibe and genuine kindness lifted my spirits in a way I really needed Sometimes, it's the brief, human interactions that leave the biggest impact. Ordered a sausage and biscuit. The sausage was nothing but fat and grease and undercooked. No sausage at all. Ate half and bagged the rest a threw it out when i got to the top of the flyover heading to the West Military exit. Pure waste. Fly away you greasy biscuit. read more

The burger I got was pretty good for fast food surprisingly. The frys were fresh and pretty good as well. The staff were nice, but the environment was pretty dirty. Every table I saw was covered in crumbs and ketchup stains. But I don't care too much about that. Overall, it was a great experience and I hope to come again soon. :) read more

Very courteous gentleman at register taking orders. Got my usual, triple meat with cheese and no bun. Service was quick and the person who delivered my food to my table was also courteous and polite. He then began spraying down and sterilizing tables. I liked that. This location was pretty clean to other Whataburgers I have visited. The floors were not spotless but all the tables were clean and ready to seat customers. My food was hot and delicious as it usually is at Whataburger. If you are in the area I would definitely give them a try. read more

This location has some of the best food I've ever eaten at a Whataburger! Consistency, taste and temperature are second to none. They also get customized orders right which is very very much appreciated. The only reason I subtracted a star is because the line is frequently very long. Like many other establishments, they sometimes are short on employees. When in a drive-thru at a fast food establishment, wait time plays a big part in the experience. Kudos to Whataburger as a company to being one of the only good food available 24 hours in this city. As for this location, our experience was subpar. Sure, it was 3 AM in the morning, but that is no excuse for your dark & curly haired associate to being visibly annoyed when he was the one who forgot items on our order. We "bothered" you to come back because we paid for our order but did not get everything we paid for. So your upward movement of the eyes & curt tone of voice was not appreciated. Please leave whatever is bothering you where it belongs, not towards customers who are only expecting you to do what you are getting paid well enough to do. Gracias! read more

Sept 23 obo 10 am, I went in for a cup of coffee and taco. No one was in the store, no customers, but I saw a older man with laptop at front-appeared to be a manager. I made my order, the cashier was very gracious. She brought the taco and said she would make my coffee and be right back. "Thank you." She brought the coffee; I'm a voter registration clerk and asked if she is registered to vote? She said she had just moved and hadn't had time. I asked if she would like a voter registration card?? She said yes; I said I'd bring one from my car after I eat. (The whole conversation was 15 seconds) After I finished my meal, now one person was roaming the store, no one in line, I brought the card in. She was in back, I went to the kitchen door, I young man, asked what I wanted, I said I was waiting for her. He nastily asked I stand back...like a 1/2 step. I'm an almost 80 yr old women who is not threating at all!! The cashier came back; I was reaching out to give her the card when the man who apparently had to run from the front of the store to say, harassingly and aggressively, "I'm the owner-They are MY employees on the clock and you can't talk to them," I looked surprised, I'm sure, and said, " I'm not trying to talk to her, just giving her this card". At that point he said, "get out of my store" and came towards me. I asked if I could lay the card on the counter....He then motioned for me to get out. I was afraid he was going to assault me!! The employee was embarrassed; I was insulted esp. since I had just purchased a meal. I said, "Thank you for standing up for democracy and blew him a kiss" and left. I go to church in that area and will spread the word to not go to the THAT particular Whataburger at Fair Oaks Rd. There are BETTER options in that area!! where customers are appreciated and given respect as the cashier had. I expect that all people-customers and employees deserve respect. Who would have thought that the owner of a franchise What-a-Burger would be so threatened by an 80 yr old woman offering a voter registration card to an employee. I can't really say anything about the customer service inside of the store since I always do curbside, but we always get the same employee who brings out our order, and he is very friendly! As for alimentation...well, it's Whataburger haha, amazing quality here, I've never gotten sick and their fries are so crispy. We've always used this location! read more

I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THIS LOCATION. Everything I ate the day of May 27th was home cooked. I went to get a double patty whataburger meal around 1am and noticed a couple hours after I ate it that my stomach started turning pretty bad. The morning I woke up it became even worse. I had hot flashes, fever, diarrhea, had the urge to throw up multiple times but didn't, super sharp stomach pains, and a terrible headache. I used to love going to this location when it was first built but it has gone SO FAR downhill... Do yourself a favor and think twice before coming to this location. read more

The tea is rotten every time I get it. Last week it was rotten and today. The only thing great is the burger.

Service was very slow. 15 min to get one burger fries and a salad. When I asked how long it would take the manager told me the girl who is talking to you is cooking and if she's talking to you she can't cook. Basically go away and leave us alone. Spent 50 minutes in the drive thru. When we got there we were the first in line at the speaker box. I've never spent 50 minutes in line for a drive thru before and there was no way for anyone in either lane to escape. No idea what the wait was for and there was no apology. Average wait per line was about 8-10 minutes per car. We were able to watch shows (multiple) while waiting. Compare that to any other fast food place at 1 minute per car. read more

This is a great place, with great hamburgers. It is a Texas staple. This particular location is new, and the service was great today. They were busy since it was lunchtime, but with two drive through lanes I had almost no wait. They were friendly, and got my order perfect. I had a garden salad with grilled chicken that was delicious. The lettuce was crisp, and it was a good sized portion. Ordinarily, I would get a big ol' hamburger and fries, but I'm trying to lose weight. It's easy to rack up a day's worth of calories in one meal here! A side note: this was the first time EVER that my father has eaten a Whataburger, and we've lived here since 1976! I guess that's the yankee in him, but if I had known he would have eaten one years ago. Although they left the Northeast before I was born, it's still in his blood, lol. In general, I find Whataburger to be one of the best fast food burger places near me. This location has a lot of plusses but one major negative that knocked the rating down for me. The pros: This is the closest location to my residence and it takes me less than 10 minutes to get here. The food is always hot and fresh tasting. The employees are friendly. There generally isn't a long wait for food. The con: I've been to this location half a dozen times over the past few months and at least half of those times my order was messed up. Sometimes my order is missing a burger or a fry, other times the amount of food present is correct but instead of ketchup and cheese only, the item has mustard and lettuce etc. If it were a one time thing, or a lot less frequent I could over look it but I actively go to the Whataburger in/near The Rim even though it's farther away because they have never once messed my order up. read more

I placed this order on the app, and arrived about 7:45 p.m. After I pulled up, the girl outside who was handing out the food waved back at me after I waved at her. So, I waited around 10 minutes or more, and finally called the restaurant after another 10 minutes. Stephanie answered the phone. I told her I had placed an order and had been waiting 20 minutes. She said I had to go through the drive-thru because it was after 8 p.m.. I told her I already ordered online and was not about to get in a long line as the app said my order was ready. She was very argumentative and refused to listen to me, told me to call an 800 number and then, when I asked her to slow down and repeat the number, she hung up on me! I am back home right now. I'm done with Whataburger. They charged me, yet I have no food. It's really sad they got bought out by some faceless corporation up north in Chicago, because ever since then their service has slid downhill. My husband and I went to Whataburger in Leon Springs for lunch yesterday. Something was wrong and only one drive thru lane was open. We ordered a Whataburger (with cheese) meal with a large chocolate shake, a large order of fries. We also ordered a Whataburger Jr with cheese. (We had tried to order a pickup via the Ap, but the Ap was having technical issues.) When the order taker repeated the order to us, she said "we don't have any tomatoes, is that ok". Well, we had already waited quite a while, so we said "yes". We drove to the pick up window to pay. Now this is an order we usually get, and it comes to $12.60. Today it was $15.50! Wow! We got the shake at the window and we were asked to pull forward to the red line. There were 2 cars waiting already, so it took a while to move up. Finally our order came out. I checked the bag because we've gotten wrong items before at this location. Everything was ok. BUT how can Whataburger be out of tomatoes???? There is an H‑E‑B and a Walmart within spitting distance. This store is so slow. Every time we come it's 10-15 min wait, and you get stuck in the line and have to stay.

Waiting here for my food for over 30 minutes inside. No staff knows who's order is who's. They have been running around with their head cut off and staring at the screens and tickets pouring out. I was complaining about the wait and didn't realize the table next to me was waiting 10 minutes longer than myself. The manager is saying he will get things right out but everyone is really disappointed with that same answer. We as customers are all talking and wondering what the heck is going on. We went to Whataburger when we first moved here on Saturday night January 13, 2024. It was very packed and they got our order completely wrong. We did not check it till we got home. Our fault but we called and spoke to Steven. Steven said that he we could come in any day and get our order all over again for free. I asked him what proof we could have because we had already thrown away the receipt, he said just to mention his name. we we went the next night we went through the drive-through and mentioned Stephen and our order from the night before we talked to AJANA on the way there before we even took off from the house just to clarify our order and the situation . She said she would honor the order and make that for us free of charge. The manager JIM MCKEE said that they called Steven and had no record of anything we had talked about. He said we were liars, said he was calling the cops, and locked the drive-through door immediately. I came to Whataburger to get something to eat because it's the only place open 24 hours (they literally have signs everywhere saying "open 24 hours" and when I drove up they had the drive through closed off, and the doors locked, despite having no signage posted saying that they would be closed. There's a big truck parked out front, and it's all closed off for some reason. I just think it's kind of weird that they advertise being open 24 hours and they're actually not? Might want to update your signage to let consumers know that you'll randomly be closed at 11 PM on a Tuesday.
