I started to enjoy Whataburger in TX when on a two week visit. I was thrilled that they opened on in Newnan, GA. But the food is nowhere near as good as other locations. This was my second visit and was totally dismayed at how much oil the sandwich was covered in. The second visit, I was surprised to see a person outside taking orders. She was all business so the order was quick. But the pickup window stuff was lacking speech? Not a word. I'm so disappointed with this visit, I will never go back. As a Texas native, I love WB and have always had consistent food with a smile. Like many things in Georgia unfortunately, the staff is lacking, completley devoid of personality, pride and basic kindness - to say the least. Lazy, no enthusiasm, tarnishing the brand around every corner and "we are doing you a favor as you inconvenience us by interrupting my iPhone time. The location chosen is so incomprehensible - its like death race trying to enter or exit with a narrowed shared entrance. it feels like your watching a drug deal go down behind d a low class hotel near congress. First off...I never leave reviews....so it's got to be really good or really bad for me to do so. After hearing all the hype I decided to give it a try. Drive-thru was not too crowded....ordered and waited about ten minutes to get to the window. Folks working the window were cordial. I ordered Coke Zero....once down the toad discovered it was a sweet tea. Poured it out and stuffed the cup in the trash. Bacon cheeseburger was heaping with chopped onions. I hate onions and didn't order them. I tried picking them off but the burger was soaked in ketchup making for a messy ordeal. Bacon looked like partially microwaved bacon. There was a thin slice of meat beneath the soggy tomatoes and lettuce. In the trash it went. Next up the fries. Honestly...they looked just like McDonald's fries. Whataburger came on the scene several months back. We waited until the made rush was over to try. Our first and only purchase, we had good service at Drive in window. Now for the burger, my partner who enjoyed his, stated he enjoyed the Serving and would try again. I myself was not as expressed. August 22,2023 Indoor dining not available for three more weeks. Liked the QR codes posted at the beginning of the drive-through to look at the menu on your phone. Nice touch. Hamburger patty was thin but large overall these hamburger was good. The french fries, however are those pencil stick thin ones which I do not like. Extra employees on hand to run two lanes at the drive-through and get orders out quickly. To go cups of soft drink were huge probably 32 ounces! The business is squeezed on to the tiniest lot. I should've read the reviews on Yelp before visiting Whataburger in Newnan. When we arrived, I was excited to try this establishment out for the first time. I live on the West Coast and there is constant talk about what burger place is the best (In n Out or Whataburger). I ordered the patty melt with bacon, jalapeños, and fries. While sitting down, my family and I noticed MULTIPLE people who ordered after us receiving their food before us. At first it wasn't that big of a deal, but seeing it happen multiple times, we started to get annoyed. Finally, 30 MINUTES LATER, an individual from the kitchen came to check the number on our table. He returned quickly to our table with the food. When we started to eat, we realized the food was COLD. The patties were GROSS and dry. I could only eat the fries with sauce and even then, they were still nasty. It's a shame that this establishment hasn't been open for very long to have this kind of service. Do better Whataburger. I've heard about whataburger for literally decades and have never tried before. So I may have been a little hyped. The drive through at 2pm was wrapping neatly into the street. Since that was a no go, I went inside. The walls are bare and it looks temporary inside. The orange and gray is a lot to walk into and there were no employees anywhere to be seen. The counter was empty. I ordered from a kiosk but when it asked about my tent number, i was quite confused. I could not order without a number but the tents were all on tables. I spied an empty table with 43 on it so I entered that. I then felt like it was a race to get that table before someone else claimed 43. It was filthy so I cleaned it off. Still no employees to be seen. Restaurant more than half full. I saw food so determined this must be a real restaurant and no my a hidden camera trick. The music was cranked a little loud considering they'd rolled all the bass off. Just a very loud, tinny pop montage reminding me I am very hungry. An orange clad employee appeared delivering food. So there are employees! My burger came reasonably quick and was as ordered. It was. Ok. It reminded me of Burger King before they were inedible. The bun was stale, meat a little dry. It tasted fine though drowning in mustard. Then the phone rang. And rang. And rang. Eventually an employee came out of the kitchen. He proceeded to refill cups. Slowly. He ignored the phone. It continued to ring. Another employee came out, ignored the phone. It probably rang for more than 5 full minutes. Someone finally answered it. Will I be back? Oh hell no! If I'm ever choosing between eating here and skipping a meal I'll take the weight loss. I grew up eating Whataburger so I was excited that one was coming to Newnan GA. However,my first visit (opening day) around 8pm, I waited 2 hours for my burger, fries and shake. The food was a 3 out of 5....something about the burger was off. And the drive thru was very chaotic and noisy so that may have contributed to the long wait times along with being opening day. Fast forward to today (9/11)....my 2nd visit to this location at 2:30pm. The wait time was much better...about 20 minutes. I ordered the original Whataburger no cheese, fries and shake. I received a burger with cheese and the staff still aren't polished. I want this location to be successful but they need to open the dining area, take some training tips from Chick-Fil-A to be efficient, work on getting orders correct and being patient, consistent and pleasant otherwise this restaurant will go the way of the other two businesses in this same location (btw...not a good location). read more

I wasn't going to wait in the ridiculously long line, however I decided to go last night and the wait for the drive-through was probably about 30 minutes which it didn't feel like 30 minutes it felt shorter. There dining area is not available to the public at the moment. I ordered a number 1, just a regular whataburger no cheese added jalapeño and grilled onions with fries and a banana pudding milkshake. The milkshake my boyfriend enjoyed. I I didn't have enough of it to really speak on it . The fries were regular, plain Jane fries. Nothing special, no special seasoning just skinny salted fries, the burger is flat, I prefer a more beefy burger. I went online to there website to see what there known for, nothing. Aside from always being fresh never frozen burgers which I can also get at Wendy's. It's not a place I can see myself visiting often. We just got a new Whataburger in Newnan,Ga and I haven't tried it yet because the lines are outlandish and super slow. So this week I traveled to OKC and went to a Whataburger. I went there before 6am and there was no one else in line and it still took 15 minutes to get my breakfast. When I tasted it I realized there is no point in waiting for food that has no flavor.
