The parking lot is... interesting, but there's generally more than enough spots. The drive thru is tightly wrapped by the street, but is easy enough to get into. The decor is perfectly average. There's nothing eye popping, except for the old original pricing on some boards in the back. The food itself, from the namesake burgers to the tenderloin sandwiches to the fries and onion rings; everything is just good and priced well. It's not Culver's level elite, but it's a nice step up from the McDonald's of the world. It comes out hot and is always right. The staff is always friendly and they move quickly. So if you're in the neighborhood and need a quick lunch or dinner, it's worth stopping in.

But sure enough I had grabbed the wrong card... the card linked to an account with $0 in it. It declined over and over. I mustered up a dollar 25 and asked them to try again. I tried transferring money, but it wasn't going through. My card still declined and I felt so embarrassed and defeated! The wonderful woman working the register gave me the sandwich when I only had $1.25 to give. I left in tears! This location is the most friendly, quick, and amazing one I have been to. With a 4 month old son who is teething and crying non stop, I am exhausted. I barely have time to get dressed and shower, let alone eat anything. I'm exhausted and Jimmy John's made my day so much better! Now this mama gets a meal in her car while the baby naps and I have a little more energy! Hi-Boy is a small burger spot with no seating inside and NO DRIVE THRU, which I find charming. It harkens back to the 50s when it was first opened and even has a neon sign that looks great at night. But the whole visit here was about the burger, and while they don't have bacon here, the burger was cooked to perfection. With just a bit of char around the edges for a crunch and a flavorful and juicy middle of the patty would've been enough to get a great review. But Hi-Boy also makes an AMAZING French fry that I couldn't get enough of. This spot is a very long drive from my house, but that's not going to stop me from visiting again and again.
