Incompetent staff. Order $42 worth of food and my bag came missing every item except a cheeseburger with no bun. These employees suck

Hope you don't need anything to have a nice meal.
Christopher B.

We bring the kids here a couple times a month. The dining room hasn't been stocked with anything but napkins... ever. Staff is generally annoyed when you ask for ketchup. Our order is commonly prepared wrong. Tables are usually dirty. The electronic order screens don't have all the options available to order, never have. It takes 2-3 minutes standing near the kitchen for anyone to notice you when you need something. The food is poorly constructed - missing components, or cold. It's a hot mess. Someone from corporate should step in, but I doubt they give a damn. The ONLY reason we keep coming back is the play area. So few fast food places have them anymore and this one is just a few minutes from our house.

No joke this is how my cheeseburger was placed in the bag.
Patricia P.

So I don't want to do the cliche "if I could give zero (or negative) stars here" beginning to this review, but honestly it's the truth. I frequent this location solely in the fact that it is literally the only one by my house. I cannot tell you the ratio of good food/service and bad food/service, but I'm pretty sure it leans to the bad side. This last time though, I mean I don't know know how to describe it, but I'll give it a shot. We went through the drive thru, along with about twelve other cars. We get up to the window to acquire our food and there is no sweet tea, not in drive thru or inside the store. I end up getting a cup which is 3/4 full. Next up is our food. Like a good drive thru foodie, I double check the bag, only to find out the ENTIRE order was not what we requested. My husband circled around and goes inside to get our correct order, the fries are barely like warm and my cheeseburger looks like they just balled it up like a piece of paper. I'm not sure how those who work in these establishments expect to make a certain wage, when they can't even take pride in what they are doing at the pay they currently receive.

Cold, undercooked quarter pounder and fries
Lacey J.

Apparently the way to get people through the drive thru line faster is to under cook the food.

The absolute worst experience at a McDonald's... the drive-thru crew acted as if they didn't want to be there.

I wanted to try the s'mores cold brew and one of Chingu's famous breakfast burritos. And today happened to be the day! The employees are friendly and make things fresh to order. My cold brew was delicious and full of flavor, and the marshmallow cold foam took it to the next level for me. My Chingu sausage burrito was served hot and had a great flavor too. The red go sauce has an asian flair to it. I loved it! And it is a great complement to the sausage, egg, cheese and potato in the fresh tortilla. It was probably the best breakfast burrito that I have had! Wow! Such a fun local coffee shop that you have to visit!

It surrounded by windows, which is nice and they have a cool overhead display of tons of white coffee mugs at varying he suspended above. The coffee was good, my husband had a hot honey badger latte with oat milk, and I had an iced honey badger latte with oat milk. We both enjoyed them. The service was not very good. I originally went to the counter to pick up a menu and look at it before we walked over since my grandson was playing in the children's area. I wasn't even standing by the cash register, but standing to the side and the young girl that worked there was rude and asking if I needed anything. I just told her that I was looking at the menu prior to coming back to order and then asked about any syrup for a tea. So then eventually, we did go back and she was rude that time, but not only to me but pretty much everyone that walked up there. She was the only worker so I don't know if she felt overwhelmed, even though there wasn't a ton of people coming up there or if that was her regular attitude. But barista's make up a good portion of whether people enjoy a space. The table and chairs were contemporary basic and for some reason in that particular coffee shop I felt like everyone was on view and really didn't seem like you had privacy. So we chose to take our coffee into the Knies library area against a large window that overlooked prairie, grasses, and wildflowers and enjoyed it there. So I would say a five star for the coffee, but it's getting a three star for the barista, the two times that I interacted with her and the seating.

Los Hornos Argentinian restaurant is doing a bit of re-branding spin-off by turning their north…read moredining room into a breakfast / brunch cafe. They have added Messenger Coffee drinks and expanded their pastry and small bite savory items with a seperate menu. It was a bit confusing for my first time visit, which door do I enter? Do I order at the kiosk? Do I wait to be seated? Some signs would surely help. After wandering around in both dining rooms and looking at a menu at the kiosk, I was finally approached and was seated in the cafe. The room has a relaxed feel with cozy chairs and tables, a few plants and books and some comforting classical music playing. I was immediately brought a water glass by my stylishly dressed waiter. I started asking a few questions about the menu, when he asked me to follow him to the other room where I could see the variety of baked goods in the glass warming case. I made my selection and was soon brought my ham and cheese Medialuna (small croissant), a Fat Biscuit (baked rolled dough) and my cappuccino. Pricing is a bit high but the service and atmosphere was above average and the vibe was relaxing after I understood the ordering system, and the menu was unique. A great little coffee / brunch option for the Tiffany Springs / Zona Rosa / MCI area.

The restaurant has been open about four years, but the recipes go back much further. The family's original sister restaurant in Argentina dates back to 1987, and the food absolutely feels rooted in tradition and authenticity. This was actually my first experience trying Argentinian food. From the Milanesas section of the menu, I ordered the Napolitana, topped with tomato sauce, ham, and cheese. I later learned it's supposedly soccer legend Lionel Messi's favorite dish. To me, it reminded me a bit of a deep-fried German schnitzel, in the best possible way. It came with delicious fries that disappeared quickly. My wife absolutely loved the freshly made empanadas. One detail we thought was clever: each empanada is stamped with a number identifying the filling, which makes ordering and sharing much easier. The surprise star of the meal was the Rogel cake for dessert. Thin, flaky layers packed with dulce de leche and topped with toasted meringue/ rich, crunchy, sweet and absolutely unforgettable Another fun surprise was the robot that delivers the food from the kitchen before the server brings it to your table. A small touch, but memorable. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering how authentic and satisfying the food is. Definitely a hidden gem in Kansas City if you're looking to try something different.

So, I ordered a corn and cheese empanada, and that was exactly as I expected. It was delicious. I also ordered the Marcia Lucia cake. Do order this cause it's awful to try to make at home. It was delicious. The robot server was always visiting our table. He's a cutie. Now, I loved the empanadas. But ordered lemonade and it was the most inedible lemonade I've ever had in my mouth. Either someone forgot the sugar, or it wasn't made to be sweetened. It was so awful, I used all of our sugar which mostly did the trick. Don't order lemonade if you go. Do order the cheese corn empanada and sangria. Lot's of Lionel Messi and World Cup. I enjoyed it cause this is an Argentina restaurant. I hope some of our out of town guests enjoy Los Hornos.
