Ordered just fries earlier tonight and sat there while three people got their large orders before me. Approached the counter to ask about my food and the manager gave me a ton of attitude, telling me to "be patient" and that she'll "get around to it". They were also out of spicy ketchup. Overall poor customer service and long wait times for no apparent reason other than lazy employees. Do not recommend. It has been years, 2006 Scottsdale AZ to be exact, since I have visited a Whataburger. Not many fast food restaurants do a Patty Melt and not many use fresh beef. The patty melt is delicious! It comes with two patties, grilled onions, Monterey Jack cheese and a spicy creamy pepper sauce that makes the sandwich next level. If I lived closer Whataburger would be a regular stop. read more

So I have been to this Whataburger a thousand times and my experience has never been as bad as it was tonight. To start off the lady at the intercom was rude, keep cutting me off and wasn't really paying attention to my order ex. "What do you want to drink" I then responded with "a strawberry Fanta" (she killed me with her response) you said coke? At this moment i knew this visit would be a disaster! To continue I ordered a sweet and spicy PLAIN AND DRY!!!! I even went into depth and explained what I wanted. I ended up with meat, bread, pickles and a shit load of barbecue sauce. In my what a chicken I asked for ranch and got no sauce. In a other sandwich my mother ordered we asked to add onion and substitute whatasauce with mayonnaise, they made it how it came. I came to this location around 11pm and ordered my food. The line was long, they had clearly been busy. When I got home I realized my salad look as if it was already being eaten out of with a greasy top, and ranch spots in the salad. I called to this location to speak with the manager and he acted as if I was lying about the food. Completely dismissive and overall unconcerned. Said I could bring it up there, so we did. When we got in he examined the food again and remade the entire order for us, which was great. The downfall of this location is the terrible customer service. The manager on duty had me repeat myself over 3 times on the phone explaining what had happen and still replied as if he didn't care nor believe what I was saying. When he brought out food I attempted to apologize for the attitude I began to have on the phone as I was getting irritated at the tone of his responses. He cut me off in the middle of my sentence and dismissed me, and asked if he could help the other costumer. He said it was because I told him "if this is your costumer service you really should fix that sh**". Me and my husband go to whataburger quite a bit and get the same thing every single time. We came to this location and the lady repeated the order but didn't put any of the modifications on the sandwiches. Then they put mustard on my husbands sandwich when he clearly said not to because he is highly allergic. The only thing they got right was our drinks they also charged us for a large meal because we upsized when we got to the window but the lady still handed us the same bag with the medium fries. Then when we got back to get the order right the lady tells us that she will remake the chicken sandwich fresh but says nothing about my husbands burger that still had the mustard on it. Way to go whataburger! If my husband ends up in the hospital I'll send you the bill. Also, if your food comes out in less than five minutes it's not fresh! I honestly love whataburger. I have just recently moved near this location. All I can say is, no matter what time of the day, how busy (or slow) they seem. There is ALWAYS a wait that is much longer than expected. Recently, I waited 30 mins for one taquito. Rude staff and slow service is a horrible combination and I hope this whataburger changes both soon. Do yourself a favor, take the extra time and go to another another nearby. So my boyfriend just got hired here and didn't stay here for a solid two weeks lol. No because he doesn't want to work but because the place is very poorly managed. #1 presentation is huge nobody is going to take a ' manager ' with a top gold grill lol seriously lol staff doesn't get anything to eat for free , not a small fry or the smallest kids burger , nothing. I'm generally happy with this location, but the last couple of times I've been here, the service has been very poor. Tonight, I sat in the drive thru line for nearly 30 mins just to get to the speaker to her the employee talking negatively about other employees. She apparently didn't realize I could hear her, and when I said hello a few times, i didn't get a response so I got upset and drove off. This kind of stuff seems to only happen at night. This place is usually much better than this. Update: Just went there on Thursday, June 13, 2019 and the service has gotten worse. I went to the drive thru to give them my order only to get to the window and listen to at least 5 employees just stand there and use extremely foul language while the window is open. All I wanted to do was pay for my food and leave. The girl at the window was taking forever just to even hand me my drink and I never even got that; it was like they didn't even care that I was sitting there listening to them using curse words or anything. I eventually lost my patience and drove off....again. I don't know if this place is under new management or something but it seems as if the employees are poorly trained and have no regard for quality customer service. My chaperones, former president of the organization I'm in, and I stopped here for a quick bite on our nine hour drive to Corpus Christi. The customer service was fantastic, as well as the food and timing. While leaving, we had left a wallet in the dining area and hadn't realized it until we left town. We rushed back, very stressed due to the importance of the wallet, and were taken care of as soon as we walked in! Thank you to the person who anonymously turned in the wallet, as well as an employee, Jackie, for taking care of us with great customer service and a big smile on her face! This is NOT your typical Whataburger. So stay away from this place as they do not have functioning equipment, and they seem incompetent when it comes to completing orders. A slow day, and they fill my small order in 15 minutes. THEN my Whataburger comes with MAYONAISE on it!!! How does that happen when my ticket says I ordered a regular Whataburger. Came in on my way to work was told to go to outside lane. When I get to work my bank text me saying my charges of almost $25 mind you my order was $7. This morning went in to the locatiwas told nothing can be done right now. They didn't give me receipt so all I have to go on is my preparation print out on my burger. My opinion is if it was honest mistake you would have brought my receipt since they are suppose to always give a receipt. But nope didn't even make a effort. Please use caution when eating at this Whataburger. On my last visit I observed the manager handle raw hamburger from the cooling unit, place it on the grill, then he went into the preparation and handled bread, lettuce and tomatoes with the same (bloody) gloves. He then brought my food at which time I was going to ask for the manager. (Only he was the manager). I explain how dangerous cross contamination can be. I requested a refund, and my request was granted. But, this is the second time this has happened to me at this restaurant. Thought the first time was an mistake, so I spoke to the manager that time and she promised that training would be done to correct the issue. Well, I guess not. Again, please be careful. Very slow service. Stood behind a woman with a cast on and we had to wait 10 minutes to have our order taken. Cashiers were just kind of moping around and changing drawers.Didn't bother saying a word to us. Ordered a #4 that had SUPER DRY meat. Same with my Buffalo chicken sandwich, had barely any sauce. I want to give this location 2.5 stars due to it being a stop light from where I live. However, most times my fries are not hot, they are luke warm as if they've been sitting for awhile, the employees are not professional and they now have two lanes that are not efficient. While I'm having my order read back to me, I don't want to hear side convo or hear about who won't do their job when I get to the window. They asked me to pull into lane B. I take it they're trying to be more efficient, but this did not work today! I ordered a kid's meal with a cookie and an extra medium fry. The lady brought me my food and said that she put an extra fry (medium) and an apple pie for the long wait. I came in one day and order the whataburger honey butter chicken biscuit and a bbq sandwich that she recommended for me. She told me that it was the best there and that she loved it herself.
