I posted a picture on google reviews. Yesterday was my birthday. I ordered Whataburger in Ennis Texas through the Whataburger app. I did not order through doordash, but that is who "they" deliver through. I tipped more than 33% on my order. After he picked it up, the driver made at least 3 stops. 1 was at our local HEB where he sat for 10 minutes according to the tracker app they send. Next he got closer and went to an apartment complex where he was for almost the same amount of time. It looked like he made 2 stops at the apartment complex. My food left the store around 3:05 and got to my house around 3:35. It was room temperature. THe corner of the bag was turnt up, had been in. Close to half of my fries were missing. There was no straw. THe drivers eyes were completely bloodshot, looked like he had been smoking crack with the smoke pouring out the windows as he was coming up the street. Whataburger is the responsible party. I ordered my food through the Whataburger app, not doordash. I have not heard back from doordash. The manager at Whataburger was rood as hell. but said I could have some more fries if I "came up there to get them." Not acceptable. This was the girl who claimed to be a manager but would not clearly give me her name. SHe blames doordash and says take it up with them. BS. THis is WHataburgers responsibility. I ordered it through you. I expect you to deliver it properly and when not done so to make it right. There is only one way to make it right. Deliver my food to me properly. If you don't want to doordash it to me, get in your car and bring it to me yourself. THanks for ruining my birthday meal, and the Dr. Pepper could not have been more flat or much more watery. This is just your average Whataburger - but due to its location right off the exit and right next to a gas station, things can get very very busy between lunch and dinner hours from travelers stopping by for a meal. With that in mind, the food is just how you'd expect from any other Whataburger. Always pretty good and prompt service. read more

Great Whataburger with friendly staff, no messed up orders, and nice outdoor seating area. I always grade fast food differently than I would a "real" restaurant. A Whataburger gets compared to other Whataburgers and other fast food burger chains in general. If it's a solid Whataburger experience with fresh food made correctly with friendly and professional staff, that's about all I need for 5 stars. Cleanliness matters, too. The outdoor seating area was the extra boost to make this site that much more appealing and enjoyable since we stopped during covid pandemic bleh. Staff was properly masked up, too, even if they're allowing inside dining so you have patrons eating in there. On a related note, they don't have many tables open for indoor dining and they're very spaced apart, so at least it wasn't packed with maskless Whatafans. read more

Wife just got back from whataburger and stated that whataburger had run out of regular buns. They offered her whataburger jr buns but at regular whataburger price. What a ripoff! I went in to the lobby to place an order with Ashten, for 3 burger meals and nugget bites at 7:20pm on Friday. The tables were full, and the drive thru was full at the time I got there. About five families came in sporadically after we did and got their food ahead of my family. After 20 minutes I went to ask where our food was and the short, bottom heavy, Hispanic woman with heavy eye makeup viscously snapped at me and said she had to serve the guests in front of me! The Lady behind me looked at her and said, "THERE IS NO ONE IN FRONT OF THIS WOMAN, we came in several people behind her and the WHOLE RESTAURANT has cleared out!" Then the worker finally looked at me and begrudgingly started to help. They found my order sitting on a bottom shelf of a warmer and it had been deleted from the queue... no one knew why... So had I not asked I would have stood there all night without anyone questioning??‍ Then in walks Ashten, past the counter and says "she's waiting on her bites!" The chicken nuggets were sitting on the fryer WAITING TO BE COOKED!!!! So if Ashten knew this... why didn't he cook them? Or Better yet why didn't he TELL SOMEONE TO COOK THEM, or say when are y'all going to finish her order!!!! So, they finally cook the nuggets. ALL the food was ICE COLD, except the nuggets which were FLAME THROWER HOT! The staff, or at least the ones I dealt with, were RUDE, INCOMPETENT, OBLIVIOUS TO THEIR SURROUNDINGS, TAKE NO PRIDE IN THEIR WORK, AND DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. Unfortunately this was the worst Whataburger I have ever been to. Maybe they are understaffed, but they had all sorts of problems. Trash cans were overflowing, there was no sweet tea, no regular tea, they ran out of salad, they don't sell grilled cheese anymore, bathrooms were a mess and not fully functional. After waiting in line and getting all the way to the front to order they tell us they're out of chicken strips. I can see why this Whataburger only has two and a half Stars, try at your own risk I spoke to the girl on the box to order my meal and when I get to the window the guy at the cashier has the wrong order so I ask for the manager the manager comes out and I told him the last three times I had stopped my order was wrong by the time I get back on 45 heading towards Houston. The manager walks off another 5 minutes past the traffic behind me is backing up. The same kid comes back and tells me mine is fivethirtyeight for a triple Whataburger jr. With two pieces of cheese jalapenos and Waterside I know that's not enough for that so he's getting the wrong order to me again so I ask for the manager again and he comes back and he can't get it right so now I'm off to Sonic and I will never stop at this Whataburger again, because I wasn't going to give them an opportunity to give me a fourth wrong quarter. What is going on with my Whataburger? It seems since Whataburger was purchased and is no longer a Texas-based company the food and quality of change that multiple locations and not just in Ennis. As a whataburger fan, at least one member of my family eats at whataburger multiple times a week. This is the worst location I have ever experienced. Yes, we modified our breakfast sandwiches: sausage and egg on jalapeno cheddar biscuits. (Don't knock it until you try it, it is better without the cheese). The meal is served missing a sandwich, check the ticket. Yep, 2 sandwiches ordered exactly the same. The server takes the ticket and leaves, evidently he is mute, never uttered a word. 10 minutes later, a sandwich us delivered. . . WITH CHEESE. My husbad jumps up as the mute server literally dropped the tray and left. 10 minutes later finally get a sandwich made as originally ordered. They kept the ticket otherwise I would've sent this info to corporate. We will not return. read more

I guess I've been lucky at this establishment since I've always had a good experience. There was this one time my Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwitch (which is GREAT btw) wasn't AS hot and melty as it could have been. And they can be slow when busy but that's just not really a deal breaker for me so long as it's still faster than sitting in a restaurant, which it is. So it can be slow and inconsistent but whatever, it's a 24/7 fast food joint. I don't come here expecting a Gordan Ramsey experience. It's still pretty good and one of the only places open so late. Even at 2am, when I expect service to be sloppy, I was delivered the intense pleasure of a hot, crispy, sweet&salty Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Because, oh yeah, breakfast is served between like 11pm to 10am! That's a pretty hefty window to indulge myself in fast food breakfast. Overall I always look forward to going here. read more
