Man, I really need to stop giving these big-name chains a chance. Whataburger used to have a reputation, but this visit was a straight-up disaster. The food? Sloppy. Lukewarm. Tasted like it had been sitting out waiting for someone to feel sorry enough to eat it. And I did. What really pushed it over the edge was the complete disregard for getting the order right. One simple burger--wrong bun, wrong sauce, missing toppings. It's not rocket science, but somehow the team fumbled the basics. Management? Nowhere to be found. You'd think someone in charge might care, but clearly that ship sailed a long time ago. I'm not sure if they were on break or just mentally clocked out, but either way, the whole operation felt abandoned. Next time, I'll gladly pay a few bucks more at a local spot--at least my stomach won't stage a revolt afterward. read more

Pico de Gallo burger was a very big disappointment. How can Whataburger call it Pico de Gallo when it's not made with serrano or jalapeño peppers. You already have jalapeños on the menu. Why not just make the Pico de Gallo the right way. This burger was very weak and definitely an insult to real Pico de Gallo lovers. Employee was being very annoying and standing on the customer side of the register right next to customers trying to place order talking very loud on her cell phone not providing COVID social distancing space from customers. She was just talking away and being rude in front of customers. We don't need to hear her personal phone call as we wait to place an order. Management needs improvement, I was waiting to take my order on the second lane and no one was taking my order for 10 min. While cars in the first lane were getting there orders taking. I pulled up to the first window and i takes loud so the kid can hear me that no one has taken my order and I've been there for 10 min. Then the managers come out to tell me that they can't serve because I cursed at the kid in the window. When I didn't, I did talk loud so that he can hear me. Terrible Service! Cashier was spending a lot of time flirting and not tending to business. Having rated that, my remade hamburger was up to Whataburger Standard and the burger itself rates a 5 Stars. Turned my order in at 7:21:30 and finally got my order (Right) at 8:40 pm. They called my order at the 12 minute mark. I checked the order and lo and behold it was NOT my order. Called over the Manager and asked her to check my ticket and the order ticket on the bag. They were the same, however, I ordered two Whataburgers with one cut in half. Inside the bag was a small hamburger, no onion and a large hamburger no onion. My original order had been given to some poor unsuspecting person who would discover his wrong order when he got home. The Manager quickly had my order redone; Whataburger only, add Mayo, and a Whataburger only, grill the bun both sides, add jalapeños and cut in half. Only took 19 minutes to get the order out to me. I pity the poor person who got my original order. At this Whataburger the order are wrong half the time. I don't think Whataburger Inc. goes for this kind of service! read more

Friendly staff, quick service and a good burger and fries. As far as fast food hamburgers, Whatburger is probably one of my favorites when I am in a pinch. Everyone knows that Whataburger has fantastic food and service. What i want Whataburger to know is that there is an older employee at your Violet location that is there every morning when I come in. He is without a doubt the hardest working employee you have at any of the Whataburgers that I have gone to and that is a lot. This man is washing the sidewalks , cleaning the windows , picking up trash and doing whatever is needed to keep this location looking great. I don't know his name all I can tell you 8s that he is a man in his late 50s to mid 60s and is there Monday through Friday in the morning when I go by. If this guy isn't your employee off the year you should be looking for new management because this man should be recognized as the MVP of your stores. I wish I knew his name so I could acknowledge him dairy. As soon as everything is opened back up I will be talking with him and letting him know i appreciate his hard work to make this place the best in Texas. read more

I understand everyone is doing their best during these times, but this was the worst Whataburger I have ever had, and I've had a lot. We waited 20 minutes for our order in the drive thru. We ordered a Whataburger meal, fries without salt, a Whataburger with cheese and a Chicken Bites meal. The hamburgers and fries were cold. The cheese on the burger was cold. One of the best Whataburgers I've been to in South Texas. Was the middle of lunch rush and they got everyone's orders quickly and food was brought out to tables with almost no wait. The very friendly staff brought out ketchup, napkins, salt n pepper. Then walked through and asked anyone if they could refill their drinks. OK, I'm giving this 4 stars because the food was good and the Coke was excellent. I live in North Texas and for some reason all the Whataburgers in DFW can't get a handle on Coca-Cola. Maybe the beverage fountains are all dirty or they don't know how to properly do the Coke syrup portions. I mean seriously, Whataburger Cokes in DFW are truly awful. So I'm giving this location 4 stars because this Coke was so good. It was like McDonald's Coca-Cola quality. HOWEVER, we not only literally waited in our car for 25 min for our drive-thru order, they forgot a straw (!) AND THE FRUIT CHEWS we had ordered. What the crap, Whataburger. Thankfully we easily saw right away there was no straw so we were able to tell the employee we needed one before we drove off, but it wasn't until we were back on the highway that I realized there were no fruit chews. Terrible service! Staff, including management, is incredibly unfriendly and incompetent. "Toasted" buns apparently means "burned"; order is wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME! Last night I got home with my order to find it wasn't my order. I called and was told it'd be made fresh and waiting. I had to wait for them to remake it and it was wrong and burned AGAIN!
