Whataburger Patty Melt
Dylan V.

As a California Native, I've only heard the folk tales and mystique that is Whataburger. I will say that it is a unique burger establishment amongst the top contenders. The service is fast and friendly, the burgers; specifically the Patty Melt takes you on a blissful journey of cheesy, beefy fast food deliciousness. My cravings were more than satisfied. Thank you Whataburger!

We were greeted by Terri with a smile before we ordered. The restaurant was very clean and bright. I had been wanting to try Whataburger for awhile - it had been over 30 years since I lived in Texas. I was a bit disappointed in the meat patty. It was pretty thin, making it very dry. The hamburger buns seemed smash, slightly hard. The Onion Rings and French Fries were definitely a saving grace. I was somewhat disappointed in my home state trying to pass this off to Colorado residents as a hamburger. I wonder if not everything is bigger in Texas anymore?

Visiting a Whataburger while in Texas was always a highlight for me. I was stoked when they finally built one in Colorado. Sadly, it's 75 miles away from my house so I had not had the opportunity to visit. Yesterday, since I was in the Springs already, I made a point of visiting. The building is new and as such, clean and well appointed. There was plenty of spacious parking and the parking lot was well maintained. The line was about ten people deep when I walked inside. That's not terrible but they only had one cashier working and she could only ring up so many people. It took me about ten minutes to order and asked fifteen minutes to get my food. That is really long for a fast food place. The food, once received, was quite good. Hot and fresh but the wait was a real mood killer. I might try the drive thru next time.

Gets busy but worth the wait every time. Get classic bun burger or opt in for a Texas Toast. Same great service whether dining in or take out order. An abundance of staff making sure your order is completed to expectations. Take out is brought out with a tray of condiments to choose from to add to your order. Anytime in Springs this is a must stop for lunch or after work grub.

Fast and friendly service by a Team of trained professionals. The hamburgers are superb. You can view the Rockies as you eat your awesome selection from the killer menu. Whataburger's offerings are consistently delicious.

I've been here a couple times this week for breakfast and both times the food was fresh and good. And service was great.

Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

They all came in a good portion size that was just right to fill you up. Sensational flavors from the first bite in all the burgers. Our personal favorite may have been the Green Chile, simply because the spice added so much to the already great burger. But all of the other burgers were amazing as well, with tender patties and a great blend of ingredients on top. The fries were also delicious. Everything was hot and fresh, and it was easy to tell it was all homemade. The quality was just excellent. So, if you're ever in the mood for either a simple or not-so-simple burger, Green Line's got you covered. It's so delicious in every aspect, you won't feel one iota of disappointment.

The fries were unique, hand-cut, and pretty yummy. The service was exceptional. The patio abuts a parking lot, but that's fine if you've ever strip mall dined. In Houston, for example, there's a romance to patio dining with an asphalt view. So, while it was a four-star burger, everything else was perfectly fine. I'll round up from four to five stars for those reasons and since it is an independent business, which has been around a long time, on the southeastern edge of downtown Colorado Springs.

That place is Bad Daddy's Burger Bar. On my first visit to the area years ago, we were introduced to Bad Daddy's by our host. Each and every ensuing visit, we've made the pilgrimage to a local Bad Daddy's to enjoy their food and hospitality. Karen, our server, was truly a superstar. She brought a little bit of sass with hometown hospitality to make sure our visit was enjoyable from start to finish. Loved her personality and attentiveness to our needs. The food is crazy good. Bad Daddy's offers creative bar food with a unique flair that makes it seem like an upscale experience. Their signature burger, The Bad Ass Burger. I've enjoyed it multiple times on previous visits and was tempted to devour it again. However the other menu items have been drawing my attention each time we visit. Yesterday was no exception. Went with the Smokehouse Burger and was not disappointed. Burger with pulled pork, onion strings, lettuce, tomatoes and bbq sauce was really good. Had to take it up a notch and throw on a fried block of mozzarella on there. Julie didn't want the bacon that came on her burger so that topped off my monstrosity! Others enjoyed the salmon burger, heatwave burger, birria burger and the steakhouse smashburger. All were mighty fine and tasty. We also ordered the house made chips (comes w unlimited refills), Bacon Queso and Not Yo Mamas Deviled Eggs, which are deep fried with a slice of jalapeño.... BOMB! We celebrated a birthday of a little one and Karen brought out a mini sundae for her to end our meal. Bad Daddy's is a great place to enjoy a family meal at a reasonable cost and extremely fun environment. Keep on Yelp'n!
