The food was really good and I was about to chow down on my food when I saw a bandaid in the food bag. That's genuinely disgusting and whoever did that should be fired for food safety violation.

Got a bacon cheeseburger but they ain't give me no bacon. It's just a cheeseburger. Cannot enjoy my night now :(

I love that this new Whataburger in C-stat is the only one that's convenient for people living away from the center of town. It is by far the closest to my apartment, and a lot of my friends apartments in town. The drive through is always packed but they seem to try their best to get the food out as fast as possible. With the girl and guy workers frantically running outside to exchange money for orders, they OFTEN forget items you ordered. Or even worse, usually give you the wrong order entirely. I highly recommend if you come here to order in the line CLOSEST to the window, and not the lane where they have to bring the food out to you. *** always check that you have your sauces, and correct meal/ drink before driving off. About 75% of the time something in my bag is wrong, but they will quickly correct it if you inform them***

THE PAST SIX FUCKING TIMES IVE COME HERE IVE ASKED FOR A BURGER WITHOUT CHEESE AND RVERY TIME IVE GOTTEN A BURGER WITH CHEESE AND MORE SH** But I'm all seriousness, I just got this burger and the woman at the window asked me another time about the cheese and yet didn't bother to look. I get it that ppl don't care but you're adding an extra step for no reason. You're doing more work for me to have to find somewhere to bitch about this. At least my roommate gets free burgers every time I'm hungry!

Slowest service literacy anywhere. I have never waited as long for my food as I do at this Whataburger it's actual insanity.

Lady didn't know how to serve at the cash register. They smothered my breakfast bowl w/ gravy. A fly kept pestering me while I was eating.

Just threw my food out. Idk why all college station fast food workers can't put sauce on the food.

My honey butter chicken biscuit was good, but the line moved very slowly. The pancakes were also pretty good.

Spent the day at Texas A&M and had to go get Laynes for lunch!…read more One cannot go to CStat and not get lunch at Laynes..Canes and Zaxbys do not compare.. However, I will say that all the chicken tender places since Covid went from their signature large tenders to half size smaller tenders. Not sure why or why they never went back to the larger size tenders after Covid. I ordered a 3 piece and you can see how small the size of the tenders are and I remember when two of the tenders would of equaled 1 tender before Covid. The service was great, the tenders were hot and fresh since made to order and the fries were crunchy. Nothing wrong at all with the service, taste of the food, the only complaint is how tiny the tenders are now. With all that said of course I'll still go to Laynes and glad we have one in Houston by my job.

This is the original Layne's born out of College Station. We stopped by on a road trip and decided…read moreto compare it to Raising Cane's, Chick-Fil-A, and other competitive fast food chicken strips. Flavor - very nice. I was quite impressed with the texture, breading, and seasoning. It wasn't overly greasy and spice level hit the spot. Temperature: we dined in to experience the freshest chicken strips possible. It did not disappoint. I think I burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite but it was worth it. Presentation: nothing to praise but no complaints either. See the photo and judge for yourself. Ambiance: small and cute. Nothing nice about it but fairly clean. Staff: friendly but not over the top. The verdict: Chick-Fil-A is still #1. Then Layne's. Then Raising Cane's. Yes - in my opinion - Layne's beats Cane's. And all 3 are way better than Whataburger and Dairy Queen. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself!

I was SO EXCITED to find out that there is a Cookshack in College Station!…read more We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday before heading home. We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! We ordered a family meal (20 pieces), 2 sides of fries and a chicken sandwich meal. We paid around $40. Great value! The food came out quick and arrived hot and fresh. I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outdoors as well. Definitely recommend!

Really good! In fact, it's a contender for my favorite fried chicken in town. The only undecided…read morewinner so far is Mess Waffles. The Cookshack has a different vibe and feels more like a lunch or dinner spot, while Mess is the perfect breakfast place. Alright, who am I reviewing again? Right. The Cookshack has some great options, and my wife and I went for the Chicken & Waffles. I chose the hottest seasoning they had--pretty sure it was ghost pepper--and yeah, it was spicy but didn't make me miserable. There was a lot of food, and it definitely filled us up. My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite. The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. Plus, they have large booths, which we really appreciate.

That's two levels down from the hottest they offer! The chicken tenders are BIG; the "Sandwich & Tender" meal was more than enough food. I loved the decor. Like southern fried chicken breaking bad. I first had it at Hattie B's in Nashville. Hot! I mean really hot! And absolutely cravable. I had sort of given up on good hot chicken outside of Tennessee (not a fan of the other local spots in BCS), so I was excited to try Houston Hot Chicken. Stylish and functional interior, with good sized tables, comfy chairs. A little loud for talking. The best reason to come is the excellent staff, though. They explain all the different spice levels and are educated about the restaurant and their offerings. Super helpful and well trained folks (which anyone in BCS knows is remarkable in a town of college student staffed fast food). Sade, who helped me, is the best! I had a meal that included one tender at the Spicy Level and a Medium level sandwich, and subbed cole slaw for the fries. Also had a scrumptious strawberry hibiscus frosty lemonade - pro tip: get it half and half frozen and liquid for the perfect drinkability. Well, I should have eaten the sandwich before the tender because I blew out my palette on the addictive spiciness and succulent texture of the tender. 13/10 for pure tasty pain. The coleslaw, while not remarkable on its own, is a welcome break. The dipping sauce is fine but honestly, it added more texture than taste when you're eating at Spicy Level and above. I also like how you get the traditional hot chicken finish on the meat but without it coming across like a grease bomb (although your bright orange fingers will tell a different tale). I blew my spice induced runny nose about 35 times. The sandwich, supposedly medium spicy, was pretty mild at this point lol. Very tasty. The slaw and pickles provide a nice crunch and texture. Good bun, too, and nicely toasted. This is a great spot for hot chicken and even mild chicken. The no spice and honey butter levels are good for even the wimpiest diners . If you are a chile head, it's a no brainer, definitely go. And don't miss the slushes!
