I'm so excited that Whataburger is here! I moved from Texas over twenty years ago, so now I can have a taste of home. (I'm from the Home of Whataburger, the Sparkling City by the Sea)! Thank you management for being prepared and for handling the lines on Grand Opening Day! This says a lot of the service to be expected! Two drive-thru lanes to accommodate patrons and to help move the vehicles quickly. And, it's open 24 hours a day?! What?! Yes, I can get my Whataburger fix any time of day that I am craving it! The burgers and fries are amazing. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Inside is not open for dining yet, but will be open in a couple weeks! Looking forward to that! This was my first visit to any Whataburger location. We stopped on the way home after I'd been released from a 5-day hospital stay. I was looking forward to food better than the hospital served. All I wanted was a bacon and cheese burger. I figured I'd get three strips of bacon, like the menu says. Instead, I got a bunch of bacon bits that might have equaled two strips. There were two pickle chips on one side of the hamburger patty, a couple of anemic looking slices of tomato, lettuce that looked like it may have been fresh last month, and a boatload of onion. All that after nearly 30 minute wait in the drive-thru line. How sad and disappointing that this was my introduction to Whataburger. The food is ok. However, the service is extremely slow and my order came out very wrong. I ordered cheeseburgers with everything on it, and they came out pain. Not even sauce or cheese. Also, the children's meal had no side items. I also had to ask for my drinks. I asked another customer how long they have been open. He said 3-4 months. The way you treat your associates is beyond horrible. You made a young lady go outside without a coat. She ends up sick and you require her to go to urgent care and she had no insurance. On top of this, as a new hire, you provided no training. I am pretty sure employees are entitled to an uninterrupted break period. I won't be coming back. And the icing on the cake you fired her because of performance. What do you expect with no training. The managers need to be fired or reprimanded. read more

I haven't had Whataburger since 2007 when I was in Texas. I didn't like it then and I certainly am not impressed now. My burger came cold and when I asked for it to be reheated, it came back just as cold. Staff at the front are friendly and helpful, the restaurant area is nice and clean and you will see employees cleaning throughout, but the food is too much of a let down for me to come back. read more

I took it inside to be corrected and after they argued with me that I ordered wrong, I received a burger with no cheese. The wait was ridiculous when they can't even get the order correct. After all the hype, and people telling me how good it was in Texas, Chloe the Wonder Dog and I were off to Whataburger to give it a try. I was immediately impressed by the drive-through speaker system. I could actually hear and understand the person taking my order! What a concept! We ordered a single combo meal and pressed on with our quest. Next step, the window, where the scowling person working there seemed like there were at least a thousand other places she would rather be. The only words she spoke were the total for my order, handing me the bag and a bucket of Coke in silence. No "Thanks", "Have a nice day", or even a "Kiss my a**". OK. Points off for friendly service. On to the parking lot to evaluate the main objective of our adventure: The Burger. After all, that's what the place is all about, right? First impression, it was nicely wrapped, and not squashed flat like some other places. The bun was fresh. The nasty little shoestring fries weren't even going to deter me from the pure bliss of sinking my chops into a great burger. Oops! Something must have happened, somewhere between the hype and my tastebuds. This was not the Holy Grail of burgers I had been promised by my Texas friends. It was a bad. Okay, not quite "prison riot bad", If Whataburger sold cars instead of burgers they would be cranking out something that resembled a Yugo. It's somewhere just north of Hardee's, and still well below Burger King. Sorry folks. I have to give it two stars. One star for the cool speaker system, and the second star because I didn't get food poisoning. Just like the Dallas Cowboys, another thing from Texas that is way overhyped and leaves you disappointed. We decided to check out the new Whataburger and it was a terrible experience. The restaurant is very clean and you will see staff cleaning regularly. This ends the positive comments. We ordered from Lucy and that process was alright very little interaction and no recommendations or attempted add on requests. They were out of Coke Zero so I kindly let Lucy know. Her response was "I know" which shocked me. My wife says she did not hear her so maybe I heard wrong, but I doubt it. Then we get our meal and my wife's burger is cold. She takes it back, Lucy takes it to the grill area, and in the time it took me to finally pour a Coke Zero, the burger was back. Pretty sure that was a microwave job. Wife opens the burger and it is the same burger but her bite mark is not lined up. I can only guess that they took it apart, zapped the meat and put it back together, either way it was still cold. I am going to vent here as I am SO P.O.'d right now. For a year, we waited for Whataburger to come to Clarksville. Now we have the first one ion MLK / Exit 11 and a couple others opening gradually. Getting beyond the normal growing pains, it has now been open at least 5 weeks. What is happening inside this store is a DISGRACE to this whole chain. I have had slop thrown at me with a SLICE of pickle, three pieces of chopped lettuce, a splatter of mustard ooozing out one side and NOW, the final straw! I pulled into the drive thru. Time: 11:20 PM Saturday night. There were two cars in front of me and ONE on the left. ( 2 lanes ). A voice came over numerous times saying. I WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY. No worries here! After all we FINALLY have Whataburger. After 13 MF minutes the voice says "Can I have a name for your order?" Sure my name is XXXXX. Ok, we have YOUR ORDER for a number 2. I said " Excuse Me? NO REPONSE. Again.... CAN I HAVE A NAME FOR YOUR ORDER? Only ONE vehicle in front of us has moved. Can you imagine that AT THAT POINT enough is enough and I had no desire to imagine what SUPRISE would be in my bag AGAIN. I am a Texan who has grown up eating Whataburger. I was excited about going to whataburger. I haven't had a Whataburger since the late 90's. My husband and I went thru the drive thru. I ordered a #1 and he ordered a bacon burger Combo. We both order the limited raspberry white chocolate shakes. Both burgers had maybe 4 pieces of chopped lettuce, tons of mustard, 3 tiny tomatoes. The burger had no taste, fries were limp. Our large shakes didn't taste like there were any raspberries or white chocolate in it. I believe they gave us plain vanilla milkshakes. The drive thru cashier to me was unprofessional. She must of called my husband honey and darling 6 times. I know about southern hospitality but I believe she was flirting. My husband even said to me I'm surprised they let her talk like that. I won't be going back to this Whataburger. Total cost for our food was $29 and change. Waste of money and our time. read more

Waited until the "new" wore off before attempting the anticipated drive thru wait time, the worry definitely unwarantted. It was breakfast rush time and as we pulled into the parking lot, there were more employee cars, than customer cars. Our order was fast, complete and accurate, will give them credit fir that, but, in all actuality, it's just another burger joint, nit as good as I remember, but, it was adequate, still don't understand the hype of such a bigger deal about a burger joint, than decent, sit down dinner houses. Went to this location for lunch, ordered a double burger, a chicken strip meal, and a salad. After about 25 minutes I was at the second window (The first window is already not manned.) Payment was taken and drinks were handed out. Manager came to the window and locked it. The car behind me waited about 10 minutes then got out her car and she went to the car behind her to see if she had enough space to back up. She did; then she said, "I don't think they're coming back, she locked the window!"She left. 2 minutes later the car behind her left. After about 20 minutes at the window, someone comes with food and asks if I was someone else. Nope. Then they closed the window back. After about 5 minutes I tap on the window and ask for a refund. The lady at the window takes my card. A few minutes after that the manager comes to the window saying it took that long due to the salad, but no food was even at the window so I said, "it doesn't take 40 minutes to make a salad please refund my card." She pecks at the machine for about 5 minutes then hands my card back saying "I have to give you cash because they won't let me refund." The window closes then she punches at the machine some more, and then couldn't find the keys to open the register. a few minutes later she found the keys and finally opened the register. I got the $35 refund in $5 dollar bills which indicates further mismanagement. Over an hour was spent in line and no food. I searched up the location on Google and it says temporarily closed.
